This is book four in The Nighthawk series and it is Jett and Adrienne's story and omg it was absolutely amazing. Jett is the starting quarterback for The New York Nighthawk Team and he is being accused by his fans and others for some of the things that he hasn't done as Jett has just lived his life as he wanted and football was his life but they had an important match to play today and he wanted to win so that he could show everyone that he is a great player and hopefully prove his critic's wrong but thing don't always go as planned and he is badly injured. Adrienne is in the paediatric department of The Mercy West Family Medicine Centre and she has worked hard to get there and she is also engaged to Troy so when she finished work early she decided to surprise him by cooking him a meal only it is Adrienne that get the surprise because Troy is in her bed with another woman and that is something she can never forgive him for and they can never come back from. Jett and Adrienne meet in the pub where she is trying to drink away her sorrow for just one night after the worst day of her life and Jett joins her because his injury has made him unable to play. Adrienne and Jeff are totally different in there out look on life and they have nothing in common but they seemed to get on so well and there chemistry and connection between them is really strong but what will happen when Jett's secrets come out as he has not told Adrienne who he is. Omg I absolutely loved this book and series so much and I can't wait to read the next one. I couldn't put this book down and I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and it was so addictive. Lisa Lang Blakeney is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Lisa Lang Blakeney did a great job on Jett, the story was written well, the plot and characters were strong. Jett and Adrienne's journey may have had it's bumps along the way but both were strong and they were drawn to each other. They were good for one another, their connection and chemistry was strong, it was sexy, they were good together.
This was a great story. I enjoyed it.
Thank you, Lisa Lang Blakeney. Great work :)

Jett is one of the best books I have read this year. There was so much I liked about it. The story was well paced and flowed easily. It is dual pov which gave great insight to both characters. Jett (love his name) is a cocky dominant alpha guy who still somehow manages to be sweet, funny and romantic. Combined with his good looks he’s close to the perfect guy. And Adrienne was someone we could all relate to. A woman with the tendency to fixate on what we perceive as our flaws, rather than the beauty others see in us. I enjoyed the dialogue between Adrienne and Jett. While there was some humor, it was also witty, flirty, and there some achingly honest conversations. You could feel the chemistry between them, and yes were some steamy moments. It was entertaining to see Jett having to work to win her over, and I loved seeing Adrienne as she came to believe in herself. Looking forward to the next book from this author.

Mediocre for lack of descriptions

The book could have been better but as a reader I spent too much time trying to imagine the physical characteristics of the h. The author's androgynous descriptions made for a vanilla/bland book. I've read the previous books in this series and it is always the same, vague descriptions of the h. I didn't enjoy the book and cannot recommend.

If you love sports romance novels you honestly can’t go past this series. Every book definitely reads as a stand-alone so if you happen to read Jett’s book first don’t be mistaken in thinking you’re missing any plot holes from the previous books.
Adrienne & Jason’s story starts off with them meeting in a place that Adrienne hasn’t been to for quite some time and a place Jason shouldn’t have been at all. They clicked straight away but ended the night making no promises or further plans. But life works in mysterious ways and these two were destined to cross paths again.
Their feelings developed very quickly, which I don’t mind that at all. But what I took away from this book the most was how much Adrienne grew once she realized she could be more than just her career.
Beautifully written as always and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book in this incredible series.

Another excellent edition to the Nighthawk Series. In this episode we get to meet Jason “Jett” Caraway and Adrienne Hodges. Jett is the QB on the Nighthawks, where Adrienne is a pediatric doctor. Both have worked hours upon hours to achieve everything that they have. Jett, since coming into the NFL, has gained a reputation that he didn’t deserve, but everyone believes everything the media says.
Adrienne is a self driven woman, who thought her life was going great until it wasn’t.
I loved seeing how protective Jett was right from the get go. How Adrienne was unable to shake him loose. How he fought for her.
I loved every bit of the story!!!

Jett
By Lisa Lang Blakeney
Main Characters: Jett and Adrienne
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
5 out of 5 stars
I especially loved Jett's character from the get-go. He is a quarterback and Adrianne is a pediatrician. Can a relationship work between the two of them? This is book 4 in The Nighthawk Series. Jett also happens to be a very possessive alpha and Adrienne actually loves that. Adrienne is a smart woman but does not see her own worth until Jett shows her in so many ways. Loved the book and the whole series so far. I'm really looking forward to the next installment Rush!

Just ok

My main gripe with the book is that at the end of it I still don’t know what Adrienne looks like. It was frustrating because the omission felt deliberate. As much as I liked Jason (I completely agree with him about his father. Actually I doubt I would be talking to him at all) I found Adrienne frustrating. As Jason said, here she was considering taking a disrespectful cheater back but made all this drama because he didn’t tell her what he did for a living. She’s been judgmental from the start assuming he was a bum and now she’s basically again assuming that because he’s rich and gorgeous, he doesn’t have problems. I was glad when her mother put things into perspective. It actually rubbed me the one way that she contacted him again only after finding out about his charity work.

Adrienne has just had the worst night of her life and is drowning her sorrows at a bar. Her whole life has changed in one soul destroying, humiliating moment. She just needs to numb down what she is feeling so it stops re-playing in her head.

Jett is in the same bar that night, after recently injuring himself playing in the NFL, he is trying to do as requested and lay low for a while. His transfer into the Nighthawks was not well received by the fans and he is often criticized so he is trying not to draw any attention to himself while he recovers.

When their paths cross that night, Jett is surprised when he realises she has no idea who he is. He enjoys a night of conversation and laughter without that underlying thought of if she is into him because of his fame. He enjoys it so much that he decides to not tell her and manages to give vague but mostly true answers.

Adrienne is loving the connection she is feeling with Jett. She is concerned about his injury and makes assumptions about him based on what he has told her. She is empathetic and can’t help but want to help him. She is grateful to have someone to talk to after what happened to her that night. She had no idea that it wouldn’t be long until they meet again.

When Jett does a favour for someone by agreeing to go on a blind date, to help lift the profile of the dating service he is delighted to see he has been matched with Adrienne. It seems that fate has decided to play a part in the connection they both feel. Only problem is that they have very different lives and he is still hiding who he really is from her…

This is the first story I have read in this Nighthawks series and can be read as a stand alone.

Great storylines should have a great editor!

Loved the general storyline and growth of both Jett and Adrianne. The steamy scenes were done well, if a little choppy. I’m a big fan of sports romance… and a disgraced QB made for a good hero.

The perspective of being the most hated man in football was sort of forgotten along the way, and could have been more integrated to make a good redemption arc.

Massive editing needs to be done to make this a paid for book, and not something incorporated into Kindle Unlimited. It reads like a draft or FanFiction — maybe something on an app for practicing writers. I only say this because there were lazy mistakes throughout that could have been easily avoided by having a good beta or editor. Examples: Caroline is referenced as Catherine (I’m a Caroline, and people call me Catherine frequently, so this touched a nerve) a chapter after she’s established as Caroline. There are double negatives, misplaced punctuation, and overall poor grammar throughout. He’s from Texas, not illiterate — his speech patterns in some areas were cringe. The texting conversations had capitalization issues throughout on names and Me/Adrianne/Jason while staying in the right POV.

Giving three stars due to the WANT to see Lisa Lang revisit and improve the book, since I do believe she’s a capable writer. This story has great potential and isn’t a lost cause, just falls short of any standards in which you’d pay to read.

The premise is actually very interesting. So, they meet in a bar one night and she doesn’t know he is the star quarter back for the night haws. She is a pediatrician and doesn’t know how he is. Later on, as a favor to a friend she agrees to go on 3 blind dates arranged by her fiend’s blind date company. Her blind date ends up being Jett, and so the whole of the romance takes off from that. I just,…. What happened to the few characters we knew? I get that it’s a stand alone but if its part of a universe it should he in that universe, but no. we are just introduced to new names, a completely different team and aren’t given a reason for it which makes us feel even more lost in this universe. I continuously picked up the books in this series because they are available in audible and they were quick reads, but honestly I just feel a bit disappointed. Why wasn’t the world more though out? Why do the few characters we got to know vanish. I have one more book in this series available in my audible that’s called Rush, and ill finish it just to not leave it in my to read list, but I most likely wont continue on with this series. When I picked this books up I was looking for something light and fluffy, sports related, but I just feel like these books had the potential to be so much more, and this last one just left me lost, confused and honestly even more disappointed, because the little universe building done in three books was just thrown away and I don’t understand why. Just through a 20 years later in the first page and it would make much more sense, but to assume this one as a continuation of the timeline in the previous book is just wrong. But maybe the author didn’t intend for the reader to view this this manner and I’m just confused. I don’t know. Either way I just felt lost and because of that I didn’t enjoy the story or characters as much as I could or should. It just had so much potential to be so much more.

Finally, a story that I enjoyed. Out of all of the books in this series, I think it’s safe to say that this is one of the better ones. It flowed well and the pacing was great, unlike the other books which felt rushed.

Jett is the quarterback for the Nighthawks. After suffering a season-ending injury, he meets Adrienne, a pediatric resident, at a bar. Adrienne had just called off her engagement and Jett helps her to take her mind off things. They end up parting ways without so much as a phone number until they’re set up on a blind date. After that, they spend time getting to know one another and eventually fall in love.

If you’re looking for a book that will make you laugh, cry, and think about your life, this is not the one. But if you’re looking for a cute filler story in between books, it’s a quick and easy read. It’s worth noting that there was at least some character development in this story, which was unexpected since there was virtually none in any of the other books in the series.

Jason and Adrienne

I was so excited to see we had more Nighthawk books coming. I really love this series. While this one was probably my least favorite Im still excited to see what’s to come.

I really loved Jason (Jett). He was alpha and possessive and went after his woman full force, something I love in my heros.

My biggest complaint was all the time these two spend apart. They go weeks without talking and it’s written like that’s normal behavior for a couple. With all the distance I was probably 65% of the way into the book and still felt like these two were nothing but good friends. Once they resolved their issues and decided to really give a relationship a try they were full force but the long periods of time in between really took away from their connection in the story.

I’m still really excited to read the next book in this series and get more Nighthawk men.

Good, short story.

The H is a quarterback for the NFL. He did excellent in college and
became a number one draft pick. Since then he's been traded to
three different teams and broke his collar bone.

The h is a pediatrician and found her betrothed cheating on her.
That's when she goes to a nearby bar and meets the H, who's on
the injured reserved list. She doesn't know who he is and is
mourning her broken engagement.

Weeks later the main characters are talked into being setup on a
blind date by a matchmaker. They are pleasantly surprised that
it's the other and they go on their allotted three dates.

Overall, I liked the story. It was a quick read and good enough to read once. Not a lot of drama, which was nice, and no break up scene because they weren't in a relationship until the end.

I am positive I read Jett back in 2021 but for some reason I hadn't left a review but I'm so glad I've reread it both on ebook & here on Audio as Both Jeremy York & Brooke Hayden sold Jason Jett Caraway QuarterBack Dr Adrienne Hodges Pediatrician.
what a fast moving falling in love 🥰 she's out for a drink to get rid of the memory of catching her fiancé with another woman in HER bed & he's there as he's trying to block his injury & what that entails...
But what they thought was just going to be a happy meeting takes a forward leap when Her best friend Dena says her up on a blind date & the same goes for her blind date.. 🤔
IF FATE isn't on the cards then I don't know how else you would class this meeting of 2 stangers & NOT FOR A ONE TIME MEETING......

Not even sure where to begin with this book. There were so many grammatical errors it made the book hard to read. Also if you're going to write a book about football at least get the terms right. Right off the bat the book got football all wrong. The scene was where Jett, the quarterback, threw the ball to his receiver and it was intercepted by the opposing teams tight-end. That can never happen because the tight-end is on offense not defense. This is a series where the underlying plot has to do with football. Might need a lesson in football positions. Not sure what bothered me more the football mistake or ALL THE GRAMMER errors.

I'm falling for Jason

Recovering from an injury, Jason sees a beautiful woman at a bar and starts talking to her.

Adrienne came home early to find her finance cheating on her. She escape to the bat to forget this night ever happens and meets Jason.

Fate has stepped in to make sure they meet and from there it's magic. Jason is more than quarterback, he's a man that love his family and will do anything to make Adrienne know she is the one for him.

This one will make you swoon and fall head over heels for this beautiful couple.

5 Stars were off the table within the 1st 2 minutes, when a tight end was on defense. That being said great story. Big fan of sassy banter, cocky jocks, and women who stand their ground.
One thing not a fan of using sex like a weapon, personally don’t find it hot when something pisses a guy off and they react with demanding aggressive sex. Overall not best in this series but still well worth the read, narration of Jett was not quite up to par, didn’t really do Jason/Jett justice.

Jason & Adrienne

Loving this series. I can honestly say that this series is worth the read. All the books can also be read as standalone as there is no connection from one story to the next.

Jason and Adriennes story starts out with two strangers meeting in a bar in low points in their lives and progresses into something more with a glitch and a couple of bumps in the road.

Loved it!!!

This is a fun, entertaining read. Jason and Adrienne are interesting, relatable, intriguing, wounded, complex, strong, captivating, entertaining characters. I enjoyed their romance and the path it took to get to their HEA. They are so fun to spend time with. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into.

I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.

I gave it 3.5, but I'm not sure it’s worthy of bumping to 4. I enjoyed it, but I didn’t love it. The whole story felt rushed, and the only character who changed was Adrienne. It wasn’t much of a change, though. The story was entertaining. I just felt like there was so much more story development needed. I haven’t read the other books in this series, so maybe I would have more details if I had.

Another great, sexy, fun and emotional story from LLB!! I do watch football so I can totally picture a lot of what Lisa had to describe for Jett, even his injury (OUCH!). I could also understand Adrienne's side of things. All around it was a fantastic book and I was cheering them on!!

Sweet Story!

I loved how Jett and.Adrienne met and how Adrienne started sticking up for herself much more than she had in the past. I love how Jett didn’t give up on her and how he became a better person when she was around. There were a few editing issues but I love this author and her football romances! So excited for the next book in this series!

I’m sad I didn’t read in order. This is my first book by Lisa Lang Blakeney & I absolutely love it!!! Can’t wait to read the first three books & next in the series. Even more by this author. Definitely found a new author I enjoy.

Jason & Adrienne were perfect for each other. I’ve never been to NY but I felt like I was there with the vivid description LLB painted.
