I love family first and foremost, which is why writing family sagas and stories that involve family is so much fun. Maybe you can tell that from my books since they always feature the warmth and joy and ridiculousness that comes from having a close-knit family.

I also love animals and have taken in rescue dogs and cats and fostered dogs for the local animal shelter.

And of course, I love writing. All I need is a functioning brain (batteries not included), a pen, and paper, and I can write anywhere. Please don’t let a conversation with me lag because my imagination takes over and I. Am. Checked. Out!

USA Today bestselling author, Day Leclaire is the author of more than 60 novels and has received an impressive eleven nominations for the romance industry's most prestigious award, Romance Writers of America RITA© Award. Day lives in Charlotte, NC and spends her days obsessively writing while vaguely remembering to pay attention to her adorable husband, busy son and daughter-in-law, two tiny grandchildren, and two even tinier Teddy Bear dogs. Not to mention a whole lot of dust!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my books. If you'd leave a review, I'd very much appreciate it. Authors are dependent on reviews in order to obtain ads and garner new readers. I love hearing from my readers. For a personal response, please contact me at Day@DayLeclaire.com.

This book sounded must better in theory than in reality!

The story goes hero mets heroine and falls for her and then takes her away from his twin brother.

The problem was I didn't care for any of it.
Not their drama, which was minor, and the whole thing was a storm in a teacup.

Their personality clashed and their ideologies were so different.
He was a player and she was like a scientist in her logic.
I can't say it was bad just blah!
I mean it sounded like an awesome book full of drama but for me felt flat and quite frankly DULL AND A DUD!

Oh well!
She has others in the series I will try to read them all.

Womaniser millionaire Marco Dante feels the Inferno (this almost paranormal feeling towards his fated other half) for a girl. His twin brother sends him away and bluntly steals his girl.
Marco steals her back pretending to be his twin brother and marries her.
Now he only has to convince his wife that:
1. He only has eyes for her.
2. The Inferno exists.
3. He is not a lying SOB.
4. She is not in love with his brother but with him.
5. He saw her first, so all's fair in love and war.

I enjoyed it 👍

I enjoyed book #2 in the Dante Legacy series by Leclaire. The first book in this series was "Dante's Blackmailed Wife".

It's called The Inferno. It's what happens when a Dante male meets their intended mate. It's a spark of electricity and instant, overwhelming attraction. But this generation of Dante males believe The Inferno is just a fairy tale...until they begin to fall, one by one.

Marco is the romantic...he's always been the one most willing to believe in The Inferno so when it happens to him, he's ready and willing to grab his mate and head for the closest flat surface to woo her! Unfortunately, he's sent on a last-minute trip and when he returns to Caitlyn, she's about to become engaged to his twin!

Caitlyn is a facts and figures accountant. She only believes in what she can see and prove...and her past has taught her to take things carefully and that relationships must be built slowly and with caution to prevent mistakes.

Lazz is Marco's twin. He and Marco have battled over women before and he certainly doesn't believe in The Inferno...he does believe that he and Caitlyn would be much better together as they are both accountants, both factual, and both grounded in reality. So he hatches a plan to steal Marco's Inferno mate.

Add in a pinch of treachery, a splash of publicity...and you have another kind of inferno. Quick read, passionate, and a believable (other than The Inferno, of course) story.

The hero Marco is instantly drawn to the heroine Caitlyn when they first meet, he feels such a strong reaction towards her that he believes he has experienced an old family legend know as 'The Inferno', and knows that he and Caitlyn belong together. However Caitlyn believes Marco to be his twin brother Lazz, and when Lazz meets Caitlyn he also wants her so contrives to keep Marco and Caitlyn apart. Six weeks later Marco has realised what Lazz has been doing and knows he has to act fast to claim Caitlyn as his before Lazz gets a chance to propose. Posing as his brother he meets with Caitlyn and whisks her away. Caitlyn is glad that the intense passion she felt towards Lazz that first time they met has returned and does not realise that it is Marco until after they are married and shared a night of intense passion. She is devastated when she realises the truth, and finds the whole idea of 'The Inferno' very hard to believe. Yet she does realise that what she has with Marco is nothing like what she had with Lazz, and agrees to think about giving their marriage a chance.

I really enjoyed this book, it has a very interesting and original plot. The connection and chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling. And speaking of the hero, oh, he is wonderful! So romantic and tender, yeah he did a bit of a shitty thing in tricking the heroine, but they way he treated her and their relationship is lovely. It makes a really refreshing change to have a heroine whom is logical and sensible and the hero being the one that is more romantic and open to love.
The plot line of the hero stealing his twin's fiancée as he wants her so much is brilliant and well executed by the author. This works fine on it's own and I kinda wish the whole 'Inferno' idea wasn't included as it took the book in a paranormal direction, which just isn't my thing.
But I can overlook this as the love-story is simply wonderful.

What motivated me to read this book was the plot. Upon meeting for five minutes, Marco Dante and Caitlyn Vaughn feel an immediate spark called The Inferno. The Inferno is what the Dante men experience with the women who are their soulmates. After their brief meeting, Caitlyn meets Marco's twin brother, Lazzaro, and assumes that he is Marco. Six weeks pass and she dates Lazz while Marco is overseas taking care of business. When Marco returns, he learns that Lazz intends to propose to her that very night, and Marco can't talk him out of it. Therefore, he comes up with the plan to pretend to be Lazz and convince her to marry him in Nevada.

She finds out the morning after their wedding who she really married and after some hesitation, she decides to give their marriage a chance. I thought Day Leclaire did a wonderful job in presenting an alpha male with a charming and gentle side. His treatment towards his wife is tender and loving. It's hard not to love a man like that! I liked the progression of the characters as they fell in love. Caitlyn likes order and predictability while Marco likes rushing into things. As the story unravels, she becomes more creative and quick thinking, and he stars to think before acting. They balance each other out very well. There is a sub-plot that involves an insider revealing private Dante information to the tabloid paper, but I won't give that away since it leads to the climax of the story. This is a great contemporary romance with a fairytale appeal.

Meh! I had high expectations of this one, and the story just failed to deliver. The H Marco was your stereotypical hot Italian, but even his mediterranean charm couldn't save the day when paired with the irritatingly sterile h Caitlyn.

This series revolves around 'Dante's Inferno', or in this case the curse (or the blessing) that the Dante family are afflicted by; due to which they can only have one woman in their lives as their soulmate and their connection is instantaneous and all consuming. The h here, started out by fraternising with the wrong twin; although, to be fair; the Dante meant for her, mislead her about his identity. Said 'wrong twin' also had a bit of an evil streak and wanted to keep the h to himself- and so, played along. However, Marco returns just in time, and like 'Zorro', sweeps the h off her feet and into a hasty marriage in Las Vegas. And that's where the excitement ends.

The rest of the story is about how the h and the H settle in as a couple and it's a whole lot of bickering and wariness - mostly from the h's side. I have to say, this is one h I could never take to. She blew hot and cold through most of the plot- sometimes passionate and carefree; and other times, coldly analytical and sceptical. What finally brings them together is the threat of a snitch on the warpath- whose main objective is to reveal the skeletons in the Dante closet and make money off of it (very Gossip Girl). And then, HEA.

This could have been a good story, if only the author had found a way to make the writing more captivating (maybe with a little more angst - there was plenty of opportunity for the same). Not impressed.

I loved this story. I loved it so much that I simply stated out loud in my room... I want Marco. He is so romantic. Girly sigh right here.i also loved how skeptical with everything. How she is cautious in how she would proceed.

This one just didn't do it for me. I thought the idea of one twin stealing his brother's fiance and marrying her without telling her was a very interesting idea. But the way it went was kind of dumb. She meets the right brother (the hero) first. He is then sent out of town on business and the wrong brother somehow convinces her to marry him. All this in 6 weeks. The right brother comes home and convinces her to elope with him. So she does and then doesn't even get very mad when she finds out. So she just came across as DUMB. She loves the hero somehow after all that and only spending 3 days with him, chooses him over her fiance when she finds out the truth. Stretched my willing suspension of disbelief until it snapped I guess. I was hoping for better from this writer.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fun and romantic, with the drama and conflicts you expect in order to get to your HEA.

Marco and Caitlyn met at the lobby of Dante's Jewelry when she was there for her interview. As soon as he saw her he knew that she was to be his. He went to her and as soon as they touched the Inferno hit. Now after being away solving problems all over the different branches they own, he finds that his twin Lazzaro is about to ask Caitlyn to marry him.

When Caitlyn first met Marco in the lobby she was told that he was Lazz. She felt an attraction to him immediately and accepted when Lazz asker her out. But Lazz knows that the instant attraction she felt at first was with Marco and he sends Marco on every possible problem to keep them away from each other in order to keep her for himself.

Now Marco is back and he will steal her away right before the Lazz proposes and marries her himself under deception. But will logical Caitlyn forgive him after she finds out his deception? How will he be able to convince him the Inferno exist? You have to read to find out. But I can tell you this is great and very enjoyable read. :)

Likeable, readable romance
3 stars

The Inferno, if you believe in it, is the all-consuming desire that touches the members of the Dante family just once in a lifetime. Millionaire Marco Dante feels its effect the moment he sets eyes on Caitlyn Vaughn. Nothing will stop him making her his own - not even her engagement to his twin brother.

Posing as his twin and sneaking Caitlyn away for a quickie wedding and luxurious honeymoon is bliss for Marco, but he still has to deal with his bride when she discovers his masquerade and hope to turn her blazing fury into a love that can last a lifetime.

From what I can tell, this is the second book in the Dante Legacy series following Dante's Blackmailed Bride and followed by Dante's Wedding Deception, Dante's Contract Marriage, Dante's Ultimate Gamble, Dante's Temporary Fiancée and Dante's Marriage Pact. Although it was fairly easy to read this as a standalone, the author clearly wants you to have read the first in the series and presumably read the rest.

The characters are likeable but fairly bland and the emotion was talked about and demonstrated but I didn't really feel it. There was a very little sensuality but the focus was more on the romance than the sex.

The storyline was also likeable enough and while I could get behind the concept of 'the Inferno', I couldn't really understand the conflict as it seemed so flimsy and, if I'm honest, a little ridiculous.

Having said all that, this was a likeable enough read and I had no problems finishing the book. If you enjoy Day Leclaire's writing, are following the Dante Legacy series or just want to read a pleasant romance then I would recommend this book to you. 3 stars.

I didn't like it, that the heroine came within hours of sleeping with heroes brother bothers me, also that hero never had thoughts that he was bothered that she could have already slept with his brother (he would be with her regardless and that's so disgusting to me that because of the inferno she could have slept with his brother night before and he will be with her the next). I don't even quite understand why the brother would have come up with plan to keep hero and heroine seperated for 6 weeks. The whole beginning of book felt like a mess to me and I couldn't get into it. Np.

True Soul Mates
The Inferno happens when two true soul mates meet, but is it a fairytale? When you’re a woman living by logic and order, like Caitlyn, it’s too difficult to believe. Because she doesn’t know that Marco and Lazzaro are identical twins, she doesn’t understand her different reaction to what she thinks is the same man. When Marco finds out that Lazz is trying to keep her to himself, he takes drastic measures. It takes a while, but at last Caitlyn understands what it all means and where she can find her true love. Lovely romance!

Marco is a playboy but also a romantic, once he is hit by the inferno he immediately wants only the one woman. Unfortunately his twin is also attracted to Caitlyn and sees to it that they are kept apart. Once Marco realises this he swoops in to marry Caitlyn, even though she believes he is another, and deals with the fallout later.
Loved Marco and how he fought for his soulmate.

A "supernatural" romance which involves the males in the Dante family experiencing the "Inferno" (the all comsuming desire a Dante male experiences when he meets the woman fated to be his wife). Good writingwith an interesting concept.

Peki Dante ateşiyle yanan Marco, Caitlyn'i nasıl elde edecektir?
Yada Caitlyn Lazz ile sahip olduğunu düşündüğü o ilk etkileşimi nasıl geri getirecektir?
Bi göz atmak tüm bu sorunlara cevap bulmanızda yardımcı olacaktır...
güzeldi...ben sevdim o.O

D1870 May08 Dante Legacy #2 The instant Marco Dante sees Caitlyn Vaughn standing in the office building the Inferno strikes him. His twin brother Lazz had interviewed and hired her the week before, she mistakes Marco for Lazz not knowing they are twins. Lazz keeps the two apart by sending Marco to Europe on business. He wants to marry her and doesn't believe the Inferno's ability to unite life mates. Marco arrives home to the news, Lazz has proposed to Caitlyn, and he talks her into going to Vegas to get married. She thinks he is Lazz. They are married by a priest who uses Italian for the service and Marco distracts her when his name is used in their vows. This is part of the Dante Legacy series. Another good read.

H. Dueto 07.2

ADORO!!!

They called it The Inferno--the all-consuming desire that scorched a man just once in a lifetime. Millionaire Marco Dante felt its flames the moment he set eyes on Caitlyn Vaughn. Nothing could keep him from having her--not even her engagement to his twin brother! So he posed as her true fiancé, stealing her away for a rushed wedding and a breathtaking honeymoon. But then he had to face his new bride when she discovered his masquerade--and somehow find a way to turn her blazing fury back into white-hot passion....

Leclaire does a masterful job of making the reader "love" Marco, despite his manipulations.

Cute little book but it's a fairy tale. God help those think it would ever work in real life. Meet the guy one day and have instant attraction. Well it could happen. But meet him second time and get just married? It happens in arranged marriages but those are well checked for compatibility. In an average western marriage it's more likely to fail then succeed. But then you read mills and boon to escape reality and this gives you a good dose that, I put all logic aside and enjoyed the romance.

After reading the first book a while ago, I decided to revisit this author.
At first, the story was entertaining, but it got a bit cheesy towards the end, the narrative and dialogue came across as unrealistic. There were times when I found myself skipping pages or thinking "Really?".
At least it was nice and short.

It took me a while to get into this book. However, the idea of one twin stealing his brother's woman and marrying her without telling her was pretty interesting. But sadly, it fell completely flat for me. Though it wasn't bad, it's not good either. It was kind of unrealistic for me. But I'm still looking forward to reading Nicolo and especially Lazz's stories.
