This is a great little book of needlepoint. I like the funky vintage projects that include some pretty neat looking dolls, how to make needlepoint flowers, and the "soft-sculpture" (today we'd call it a "softie") lion on the cover of the book. I'm not sure this would be an absolute beginner's book, but if you're already into needlepoint and want to see some different, funky project designs, this is the book for you.

Whilst an old book, it has good info and patterns.
