Suddenly a father of Jeremiah, Austin gets help from one cousin, Casey, and meanness from another, Ben.
Austin, mid-twenties, a welder, is muscled

with dirty blonde hair and beard plus gray eyes. He's thrown into a situation, and is scrambling.

Miller, also mid-twenties, has a slim build,

green eyes, chestnut brown hair, and a deep back story. Each man has been through too much already.

Miller steps up as a friend of Casey's to help Austin and little Jeremiah/Remi, with a place to live. The men make a deal. We see sweetness, openness, surprises and warmth. Miller's deep past story gives him nightmares, and Austin had a sad childhood.

Miller is marvelous as a helper to Austin. They had gotten along right away, and straight Austin finds himself attracted to a man, Miller, for the first time in his life.
Austin moves along, there are issues from others that influence and interfere.

Our men are forming a strong bond, with each other and an intense relationship and sexual heat that sizzles.
Later we are surprised by an attack where Austin and Miller are put to the test.
It's heartwarming and exciting, with firsts, and an HEA.

These characters are vivid, sincere, caring and deserving. They need each other's strength.
The story grips us and makes us happy.
ENJOY !

Of Wow Really Enjoyed This Gift of Love

A young man who is a big , buff, strong straight Construction worker gets the surprise of his life when his Ex-girlfriend sends him a gift. A shockingly loud gift that makes his roommate despite being his cousin so angry he threatens to evict him if he accepts the gift.

Well the compassionate young man cannot find it in his heart to turn away the crying gift. Even though a second paternity test will be needed to determined if he is the months old baby's is his son. Luckily he has a friend who could use the company, a helpful (handy) housemate in exchange for a reduced rent. The house needs a lot of work and this big cheerful man seems capable of handling it.

If course there is a catch the neurotic painfully shy man that owes the house also happens to be gay. This is a story of opposites attracting, of love for a child creating a family atmosphere, and of two men slowly emerging from their comfort zones. Trust is slow in building, especially with all the obstacles in their path: legal, ethical, unscrupulous people, extremely slow self esteem, and fear of what the future holds.

The was a wonderful slow burn, gay for you, sweet, gentle, and tender tale. Having angst and poignancy. Jealousy, uncertainty, and confusion. This is a contemporary story of a regular guy suddenly becoming a Dad and how he handled it with the help of friends - new and old. Be forewarned that there are night terrors, violence, and feelings of being a burden. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be rereading it.

Fantastic read!

This book has everything you could want. An adorable surprise baby boy, a young dad with no idea how to raise his boy, a man in need of a roommate, childhood trauma and of course friends and family to impart relationship "wisdom". There is also a rollercoaster of emotions over the course of our two sweet and kind MC's getting together. Not to mention a nightmare from one of their pasts coming back into the picture and causing problems. This was a terrific read that had more story than just the guys meeting and falling in love. You will enjoy this book.

New Dad New Love

Miller is talked into a new roommate by his friend who happens to also Austin's cousin. Austin is given a son one day when comes home from work and his cousin Ben makes clear of baby is his he'll have to move out since he won't deal with baby too.

Austin doesn't think twice about taking on Remi even before finds out for sure he's his. His ex just left her son not wanting him any more which hurts Austin's heart so much.

Miller hasn't had it easy either but together they figure out not only how to juggle a baby, but how to love someone. They are so wonderful together. I loved them finding each other and exploring what life is.

The only thing annoyed me the most was Ben butting in the way he did trying to destroy things and causing problems. Also someone goes after Miller because of what happened in the past. Besides those two things this was excellent. Glad no drama with the mom though was bittersweet for Austin since he thought she'd at least want to see her child again.

Previously straight new dad, helpful gay roommate...Perfect troupe for me. Unfortunately, the writing felt immature. I mean, I finished the book and don't feel any ill will, but I didn't feel like I read a masterpiece. Plus, the ol' cheesey miscommunication reared its head and that is just about the most frustrating thing. 3 generous stars.

A welder is surprised that he has a son.

Austin not only finds out that he has a son, but he won't have a place to live with him. Miller inherits his grandparents' house but he has baggage from his childhood. Austin and Miller meet and they come to a compromise. Things are about to change for both of them.

What can I say.

This was a feel good story. It definitely wasn't the attention grabber I wanted. I finished it but not as exciting as I thought it would be.
