This manga intrigues me because I genuinely can't tell whether it's a brilliant reimagining of Kafka-esque plot, imagery, and pacing fit into a visual medium, or just incompetence.

It makes no sense. There's practically no plot at all, and it doesn't possess the same charm as certain other "plotless" stories do: it drags on and leads you through a series of events that feels meaningless and time-consuming; it somehow manages to pick up and drop storylines and plotpoints within a single page, sometimes within 3 frames, giving these actions zero impact on any of the following chapters and ultimately superfluous.

Counterpoint: in the case that this was written with the intention of evoking the same confusing, dreamlike progression of a Kafka novel, or perhaps even a faster paced Murakami book, I'd say it succeeds beyond a shadow of a doubt. Reading through Ayuta's pages really made me feel like I'd been planted in a world constructed by Murakami and directed by Kafka, a bizarre experience full of confusion and boredom and skimming.

I despise reading Kafka.

That being said the tall guy reminds me of my brother, so I can't hate him. Added a star for that.

Kreska jest prześwietna, kadry też niczego sobie. Podoba mi się fabuła, chociaż z początku wydaje się być bardzo losowa.

Nawiązania do folkloru i legend oraz świat wyobraźni stworzony przez głównych bohaterów wprawiał mnie w nostalgię. Zaczęłam tęsknić za beztroską, jaka towarzyszyła nam, gdy byliśmy dziećmi oraz opowieściami i legendami, które opowiadali nam rodzice.

Manga obrazuje to, jak wygląda świat z perspektywy dwóch dzieciaków z bujną wyobraźnią i ich drogę jaką muszą przebyć, aby odkrywać i doświadczać nowych rzeczy. Wymyślili sobie bardzo interesującą historię, która umieszcza ich w czymś w rodzaju post-apokaliptycznym świecie, gdzie żyją przeróżne stwory z japońskich wierzeń, istnieją roboty, a dzieci i dorośli żyją osobno.

Polecam przeczytać, ale trzeba mieć na uwadze fakt, że nad książką trzeba trochę posiedzieć i porozmyślać, bo manga potrzebuje odpowiedniej interpretacji i zrozumienia o czym tak właściwie jest.

Nie zrażajcie się negatywnymi opiniami, sięgnijcie po tę powieść i wróćcie do przeszłości, gdy sami bawiliście się i tworzyliście w swoich głowach własne rzeczywistości.

Bawiłam się świetnie podczas czytania. Raczej następne części się nie pojawią, ale śmiało można traktować mangę jako jednotomowkę. Zakończenie zinterpretowałam w swój sposób i uważam je pod pewnym względem za zabawne, ale to już kwestia tego, co dopowiada mi mózg i wspomnienia z dzieciństwa.

It absolutely chermed me with its pacing and introducing new plots. Even tho kinda of chaotic it is Kafka like and I absolutely love it. Postapo, care free and absolutely visually brilliant not only because of the drawings in manga but also the atmosphere. Two care free young and pretty opposite in character boys surviving after the apocalypse. They almost don't care and just continue life as if nothing happened playing cards with pictures of dead people and just randomly deciding to go to America on foot. I love this nuclear indifference, 10/10 would read another volume

This series has no plot. The story is random and based only on finding the beetle. The nature of the chatacter is very artificial and unnatural.The only positive thing od the drawings

Ta seria nie posiada fabuły. Historia jest randomowa i opiera się tylko na szukaniu żuka. Charakter postaci jest bardzo sztuczny i nienaturalny. Jedyne co pozytywnie oceniam to kreska.
