A great read, lots of fun.

Very engaging. Finished it in just 2 sittings. Lots of new and interesting mysteries. Can't wait for the next book. Plenty of areas to delve into for future stories.

Very good book

Looking forward to the next book in the series. This book as with all the previous book in this series had some slow spots but overall I enjoyed it and will be getting the next book in the series.

Some new aliens, which in Michael McCloskey's trademark fashion are highly imaginative physically (while I'd love to see a PIT TV series, the VFX budget would have to be high), and whose culture takes one aspect of human culture and stretches it to its limit. Not complaining - both are totally legitimate ways to construct SF aliens, and they work well together. We also get some interesting bits where the PIT team wrestle with the implications of the Trilisk technology they're learning to use. I read this straight after Altered Carbon, which shows a society that's become comfortable with some of the same technologies; it made for an interesting contrast.
