A few words to describe the respective stories to entice:-

REIGN BY ALEXIE FERREIRA
Mafia romance. Arranged marriage. Alpha main characters.

I enjoyed the story, which talks about family, respect, sacrifice, and love - a union formed for protection and later morphs into more. The attraction is magnetic, and chemistry is sizzling that it was impossible not to believe in "perfect matches." This story is a prologue to a bigger story, as hinted by the author.

HOOPS & SCOOPS BY AMANDA SHELLEY
Basketball star. Met early on. Sports Romance. Second chance romance.

A lovely story about revisiting the past and realizing how much better DeShawn and Chloe are together versus apart. The story is sweet and sassy but also with mature and characters who grew up.

MOON MAGIC BY ANGELA SANDERS
Paranormal romance. Witches and werewolves. Second chance romance. Chants and curses. True love. Third-person omniscient POV.

I noted POV since it is rare for me to encounter this POV. It's an interesting take and gives readers the all-seeing and all-knowing power. There is occasional access to the other character's inner thoughts, which is fascinating.

REINVENTING AMBER JAYMES BY BARB SHULER
Motorcycle romance. Grit and drama. Band of Brothers. Dark, abusive past. Suspense and Danger. Survivor.
Note: Some violence happens.

I love how the story is all about fighting to survive and heal. The protagonist does not let her past (anymore) define her. With so many people behind her recovery, her confidence shines through spectacularly in the end.

GABBY BY BRITTANY TARKINGTON
College romance. Dark high school past. Second chance. Coming out a new. New place, new phase.
Note: Mental health discussion.

I like this sweet romance that deals with attraction from afar. The characters were sweet and cautious at the same time since both have their share of life's disappointments and coming-of-age discoveries. There is a bit more in this story, so I will not be able to talk a lot about it, but it's a simple enough story with a lot of "meat" in the exchanges between two unlikely yet likely characters.

McCATHERINE BY CALLIE RAE
Shady business dealings. Trophy wife. Finally, ready to fight and outwit everyone to be free. Romantic suspense.
Note: Mental and emotional manipulation described.

This story is a gut-wrenching piece from the very beginning. The story tells us the lengths people would go to bring others down with them; even the kids become pawns in this hateful game of deceit.

SUGAR AND SPICE BY E.K. WOODCOCK
Coming of age. High school setting. Repressed emotions. Misunderstanding and miscommunication. Young love. Enemies-to-lovers romance. Baking and cooking experts. Second chances.
Note: Self-loathing. Self-infliction. Anxiety issues discussed. Very happy with how this story progressed.

I am in no way a fan of this trope, and it takes a lot to make me fall for this theme since things can get complicated and hurtful at some point. Instead, this story impressed and won me over. Sugar and Spice have the right amount of angst and appropriate banter for the age and time. I enjoyed this story quite a bit! It goes to show that love and attraction can find you at any age and time. Also, with proper help, anything is solvable.

QUEEN THINGS BY JADE BAY
Royal romance with elements of suspense. Commoner-Royalty connection. Marriage of convenience. Second chance. Boss lady.

I love the book's writing style. The author did it justice with the way she worded and presented everything in the moments where the emphasis was needed. The suspense injected in the book adds a nice touch to the story.
A few things were going on in the story, which makes it exciting. One was the happenstance meeting of the two main characters: "instant chemistry" but had to be apart, then later met up in the most unlikely places and positions. Another is the lurking danger and possible mutiny coming out to oust the upcoming reigning royalty.
It was cute to see the characters' internal battles on sorting out their feelings for the other. This story is all about a relationship/love meant to be.

STORM SURGE BY JAMI DENISE
Women helping women. MC romance. Protector/protectee. Dark and traumatic past. Inner strength unlocked.

This touching story is about love, healing, and redemption. The revelations that came out support the motivation on why the protagonist tries to help another. She finds parallels a troubled woman faced in the past. A life cycle repeats itself that pushes the main character to face her past - coming back and take on a bigger purpose.

A WORD OF ADVICE BY JO RICHARDSON
A woman's worst nightmare. A public mess exposed. Advising the advisor - from an unexpected source.

Sometimes not the person who doles out pieces of advice does not take hers. The main character had to learn from hard life lessons. One public meltdown knocked one famous blogger advice columnist down her pedestal, then later meets someone unexpectedly who might know what she is going through.

REMEMBER US BY RUBY WOLFF
Young, selfish BUT meant to be. Second chances. Making up for past mistakes. A secret unlocked. Lots of groveling involved.

This one was a challenging read because of what the female main character went through. She did show how strong she is and had the best support system. The one person that she thought would be her biggest cheerleader left her broken. The story fast forwards to about a year after, and as expected, the male protagonist comes back to tries to win the "love of his life." Does he succeed? Will past feelings be buried?

A KNIGHT TO GUARD BY SOFIA AVES
Dystopian fantasy. Romantic suspense. Operation to protect.

This story has one of the hottest intimacy scenes for a short story! This story already includes the element of mystery and suspense going on behind the scenes. I admit that I got lost in a few scenes/conversations until the revelations happened at the very end. I appreciate the ending, but I got lost on the how's and why's, even after re-reading the chapters. I would need to find the rest of the book/story/series to understand this particular story better because this story only shows part of the main character's importance. It would have been awesome to find out if there's a continuation, but the author has not hinted at it.

ONCE BETRAYED BY TANYA NELLESTEIN
Detective drama. Romantic suspense. MC gang. Undercover cops. Disclosure: some violent scenes

What an ender! The plot was exciting, and the female lead on this was perfection. It is a first-person POV - the female character, Taya. She is not your perfect cop but a broken one trying to prove herself worthy of being where she is. I love how the story built up from Taya's experiences internally to being assigned the case, which brought back how capable she is in her job after a tragedy. The scenes were well orchestrated and fast enough to solve all of the loose ends for the time being. The story continues further with finding the missing persons in the case both main characters were working on. This story is a prologue to a bigger story.

~*~*~*~
Overall, this anthology is a series of short stories that provides a great taste of the author's works. Some readers may find the "ending" of that particular short or abruptly ended. While I may agree with this, I realized that I had to approach this anthology differently than regular stories. I treat some of the stories as prequels to an even bigger story. The author may have already written the next story or maybe is already in the works for the story. Nonetheless, it will surely pique your interest - believe me, that there are quite a few I am going to be looking into to find out more.

Given my comments above, this book already rocks with various stories for all readers, as discussed above. But the best part - 100% of the book sale proceeds will be donated to a charity that will empower women with breast cancer to fix their crowns. Given this beautiful cause, there is no question about this fantastic deal?!?! You've got the charity side and memorable stories, so as you enjoy the books, you can feel good knowing that each sale will empower women fighting to eradicate cancer.

In no particular order, my three favorite stories among the thirteen stories are Sugar & Spice by E.K. Woodcock, Gabby by Brittany Tarkington, and Once Betrayed by Tanya Nellestein.

This is an anthology consisting of 14 short stories by 13 different authors with strong, sassy, brave and sweet female leads.

I won't be rating any story individually because it's unfair to rate it just by reading a few chapters and some of these are prequels, excerpts or short stories which may be ended abruptly or may have a HEA.

My three favourites are :
A Word of Advice by Jo Richardson ,
Storm Surge by Jami Denise &
Gabby by Brittany Tarkington
(Note: these are not in any preference order)

Tropes and a few thoughts have been mentioned though.

••••••••••••••••••••

𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧 (𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐚)
✓ Mafia
A good introduction to a war and steam filled full length novel! Amore doesn't back down and we see her using advice and her sharp mind to get what she wants without going against Gino.

××××××
𝐇𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐬 & 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐬 (𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲)
✓ Sports romance
✓ College setting
✓ Somewhat second chance (?)
It was fun to read! I loved how the two leads talked about the past and about random stuff and how an insecurity of one lead is shown. I'd definitely would like to read their story.
PS: Ice cream is always a yes & Pineapple does not belong on Pizza.

××××××
𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐎𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐧 (𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬)
✓ Paranormal Fantasy
Really interesting and the past-present thing was great too. Within the short number of pages, we've seen the magic work along with almost death, dreams, ancestors, humour and a wedding. I'm absolutely looking forward to read the whole book soon!

××××××
𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐬 (𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐛 𝐒𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐫)
✓ Brother's Best Friend
✓ Seems like it's based in a MC
A short read that will remind you to be strong. With nightmares from her past relationship and that past coming in the present, we how Amber fights and starts being stronger mentally. With a bit of romantic connection, an over protective brother and uncles, a big dog and both the lead's demons, it'll be interesting to know their story.

××××××
𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐲 (𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧)
✓ Sports romance
✓ Mutual Pining
I'm definitely adding Background Noise to my TBR! I loved Gabby and how we get hints of her past of be bullied along with the mutual pining from Gabby and Tyler. I've read Autumn & Liam's book before, so meeting them again was a good surprise for me.

××××××
𝐌𝐜𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 (𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐞)
✓ 40 year old leads (atleast)
✓ Second Chance romance
From the start, I was hooked. I was interested in knowing how the lead heroine is going to get herself out of the situation. Filing for divorce but then been arrested for a property deed she never signed was not how it was supposed to happen but the lead heroine still wins. The book had everything-- second chance romance, secrets, a rich, powerful and greedy ex husband and amazing, supportive friends.

××××××
𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 & 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐄.𝐊. 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐨𝐜𝐤)
✓ High school setting
✓ Sort of enemies to lovers.
This went from "oh nice, the chemistry is real and I'm excited to see the groveling" to "huh? Everything was that easy?" real quick. The author has gave us a complete story in a really fast pace and probably in a slower pace this would be an amazing contemporary bully romance filled with cooking face-offs and sassy, sarcastic remarks.

××××××
𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 (𝐉𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐲)
✓ Royalty
Oh my goodness, that scene was hottt!🔥 This is a short story containing a back story, chemistry, a problem, a solution and a HEA. It was easy and fun to read!

××××××
𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞 (𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐞)
✓ MC
✓ Second Chance romance
I loved it! It was really fast and was sweet but at the same time had pain. The female lead is amazing and I loved how the author gave us everything-- a backstory, the current, romance and spark and a storyline that holds a real issue which connects with the main couple. This is the prequel of the author's upcoming book Thunder and I'm really excited to know more.

××××××
𝐀 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐉𝐨 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧)
✓ Meet cute but not exactly a meet cute, you understand?
✓ Famous FMC
✓ Funny and sweet
Okay wait, I freaking loved this too!! It was attention grabbing from the first page and would be the perfect Romcom and hence, I'm rooting for a future full length novel! Giving advice is easier than following it and that's what our female lead learns here after she finds out during her radio interview that her famous boyfriend has cheated on her. With a HEA, this is a short, funny and cute read.

××××××
𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐔𝐬 (𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐟𝐟)
✓ Second Chance romance
✓ Small town
✓ Fantastic girl gang
Being a short story with a HEA it is difficult to say whether I wanted more groveling or not. The main theme here is second chances, not only in romance but in life too. Loved the girl friends and how the whole town gave the male lead the cold shoulder when he returned. I enjoyed it.

××××××
𝐀 𝐊𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐬)
✓ Royalty
✓ Gaurds / Co-workers
A bit confusing at first but by the second chapter I got an idea of what was happening. I liked how it's a royal romance but it's between the Gaurds. The excerpt is interesting and I'd like to see where it goes.

××××××
𝐎𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 (𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧)
✓ Both are Undercover cops / Co-workers
✓ MC
This story was attention keeping and I liked the mutual connection between the two even before they were assigned in the same assignment. The overall question of "where is Alex Riley" is interesting too.

Fix Your Crown is an amazing anthology filled with powerful women and the men who love them! These stories are all beautiful and unique in their own way and they had me completely captivated, some more emotional than others!

First going into this I was a little hesitant with this having short stories, whether I would connect with them in such a few pages but I totally did! They're all written amazingly and with each story I completely fell for the characters immediately! There were so many that I could've read about for like ages, ones that completely stole my heart!

One of the best things about this anthology is that it's filled with diversity. And it's mixed with multiple genres so it can truly be for everyone! I'm so glad I decided to sign up for this new release and got a glimpse on so many new to me authors that I will definitely read more from. This is so worth the read!

And here's a few sentences on each story if you're interested!

Reign by Alexi Ferreira
Aw I love them. Both are in power but with each other equals. His protectiveness towards her aw.

Hoops and Scoops by Amanda Shelley
Love the instant amazing chemistry when Chloe and DeShawn meet again. And omg I need more of them, they just completely stole my heart, eek!

Moon Magic: The New Orleans Coven by Angela Sanders
I love Jeff and Hannah's strong love and how they would do anything for each other. The witch aspects are so cool, I adored them!

Reinventing Amber Jaymes by Barb Shuler
Awh this was heartbreaking and intense but also sweet. Amber has gone through a lot and her past is back to haunt her. Love the sibling bond between her and her brother. And also love the dynamic between her and Chip, her brother's best friend. Definitely would read a full novel about them and them falling even more!

Gabby by Brittany Tarkington
Gabby and Tyler are both so sweet and he literally tripped when their eyes met for the first time haha aww. The tension is seriously top notch! And omg no I didn't want it to end, gaah I need more! (trigger warning for mentions of depression/suicide)

Mccatherine by Callie Rae
Catherine just wants to get away from her terrible husband but it's much harder when he seems to hold too tight and tells lies that could destroy her. I loved how she reconnected with Grayson who she really truly stopped loving!

Sugar and Spice by E. K. Woodcock
Aw he's been into her since 14 but hasn't known how to be anything but mean to her. But now he has a plan to try and fix it between rhem. And aw they were so cute!

Queen Things by Jade Bay
Tahiry is a badass and a literal queen of Madinza! Nathan is charming and simply everything. And together they're epic!

Storm Surge by Jami Denise
This is a MC prequel I seriously needed in my life! Mariah and Bud were together until he left because of something that happened. And now they meet again and oof I love it! The emotions came rushing in and their love is just ah beautiful! I want more of them!

A Word of Advice by Jo Richardson
Love the tension between them and their quick connection. This was also such a blast and I smiled a lot!

Remember Us by Ruby Wolff
Liam broke Oliva's heart when he left during s time she needed him the most but he's back now years later and all the hidden emotions and love rush back to the surface. Liam really does redeem himself and I loved that. This seriously had my heart clenching, so beautiful!

A Knight to Guard by Sofia Aves
Zvale and Saba are seriously everything! The tension, the attraction and the chemisty is amazing and I loved them!

Once Betrayed by Tanya Nellestein
The dynamic between Jake and Taya is great and I would totally love to read more about them!

P. S. The quote below is from Storm Surge, one of my absolute favs!

"Because you belong to me. Always have. I want you to know I'm all yours too."

Hoops and Scoops by Amanda Shelley was a amazing short story. After 2 years of being apart, DeShawn and Chloe happen to be in the same place at the same time. Chloe pretends to not know Deshawn. He knows she’s just pretending to not know who he is. One dumped the other because they didn’t think they were being put first. When DeShawn and Chloe start talking again, it’s like nothing changes. They go for ice cream after dinner and start reminiscing. Conversation flows and just being around each other is natural. Can they give their relationship another go? Will Sparks start flying again for them? Chloe certainly seems to want to be with DeShawn and vice versa so maybe just maybe they can both have their happy ending. This book certainly is steamy and is a page turner which I didn’t want to put down.

A Knight To Guard By Sofia Aves ( a part of Fix Your Crown Anthology)

I loved this short story. Saba goes undercover to protect the princess from a unknown threat. She does not know whether to trust her commander, Zvale. She eventually learns about the guard’s secret mission. The story was very fast paced and the steamy romance between Saba and Zvale was hot! I also love Saba was portrayed as an independent and strong heroine. I definitely would recommend this story!

I read Knight Guard by Sofia Aves. It was fantastic! I love to read about Royality and the people who protect them. I know this is a short story, but I really hope Sofia makes this a full novel. I could see the action in play and want to watch it unfold into a bigger picture.

There really is something for everyone in this anthology, so many great female authors writing about romances in so many different tropes; from second-chances at love to arranged mafia marriages to downtrodden women even to a paranormal witchy romance. I have selected a few to write about but it was difficult to decide which stories to select as these female lead characters are all extremely interesting—the title is so apt, love it!

Reign by Alexi Ferreira
This short story is the beginning of what promises to be an exciting story about Amore and Gino. These two lead characters get together to form a strong bond in more than one way. I very much intend to read more from this author who is new to me.

Hoops and Scoops by Amanda Shelley
This is another new author to me and one that I enjoyed reading. I only occasionally read sports romances and this one with DeShawn and Miller Chloe as the main characters were fast paced, with interesting characters and I liked this second chance at love romance trope too. Even better is the fact this story will be expanded into a full novel soon.

The Reinventing of Amber Jaymes by Barb Shuler
With an exciting start, I knew this short story would be an action-packed one and I was right. As the title tells us the main character is Amber Jaymes who is a sassy, confident mechanic. Her ex causes some very unpleasant experiences for her and is definitely a taker instead of a giver.

Gabby by Brittany Tarkington
Once again a new author for me and one that I definitely will be exploring again. Gabby is an intriguing character and this quick glimpse into her life only makes me want to know more.

McCatherine by Callie Rae
The quality of this author’s writing truly shines through simply by the way she expresses herself so clearly yet succinctly. My heart immediately went out to the lead character, Catherine, and I wanted to strangle her husband almost immediately. Even though I haven’t read any other books and it didn’t detract from the story but I am definitely going to read the series that has been released so far.

Remember Us by Ruby Wolff
This small town second chance at a love story is very touching. I really enjoyed the support Olivia received, not just from her immediate friends, but also from the community at large. That bakery sounded yummy too!

4 Star reviews of Fix Your Crown Anthology
Fix Your Crown Anthology is a collection of novels by a number of different authors including: Alexi Ferreira, Amanda Shelley, Angela Sanders, Barb Shuler, Brittany Tarkington, Callie Rae, E.K. Woodcock, Jade Bay, Jami Denise, Jo Richardson, Ruby Wolff, Sofia Aves and Tanya Nellestein. There is a variety of themes which include paranormal, second chance at love and mafia romance. Overall I found this to be entertaining read and I loved finding new authors and as such my reviews are for:

The Reinventing of Amber Jaymes by Barb Shuler - I loved that Amber is a mechanic, a job you don’t often find women doing. I enjoyed how sassy and feisty she was.. Her ex was a real piece of work and I was glad she stood up for herself.

Hoops and Scoops by Amanda Shelley - An entertaining story about DeShawn Miller Chloe Eckert which has only wet my appetite for the expanded story that will be released. A second chance at love story, I was drawn into this fast paced story with characters that were easy to relate to.

Remember Us by Ruby Wolff - I love stories set in small towns and this one ticked the boxes for me. Bakery owner Olivia thought she would be with Liam forever but fate had other plans for her when Liam accepts a job in London for a year. She has been through so much and it was heart warming to see the love and support she got not only from her best friends and their partners, but the whole town. When Liam returns to town, he has an uphill battle on his hands to win back the woman who still holds his heart. Can Liam convince Olivia to give him a second chance?

Reinventing Amber Jaymes (Part of the Fix Your Crown Anthology)
by Barb Shuler

***4 stars***

This short story packs a girl power punch. It shows the strength of a woman when she sets her mind to anything life throws her way. She's a woman doing a man's job, and doesn't let the naysayers stop her from what she loves.

Amber Jaymes has been through the muck and grime of life and resurfaced as a strong, independent woman. Not letting a destructive relationship get her down, she pushes through and realizes that there are still some good men left in this world.

The girl has some amazing yet sometimes nerve wracking backup by her side too...aka the uncles and brother. They're all a hoot and needless to say, there's never a dull moment when they all get together.

A definite fun and emotional read!

McCatherine by Callie Rae-
Whether you're brand new to this author or been eagerly awaiting morsels from her, you'll enjoy this quick snippet into Cherry Creek life. Long time readers especially will enjoy because of the plot, I'll leave it at that as don't want to ruin it. But could see most of the events coming a mile off (in a good way). Get ready to yet again yell at the author for the way she ends things.

Remember Us by Ruby Wolff-
This was way lighter than I normally enjoy reading from this author, but it still held my attention, I have read better from her, but that's more my black soul being greedy and my love of reads with more details and action. If you want a quick second chance read then this novella is for you and perfectly fits the theme of this anthology.

Gabby by Brittany Tarkington-
Been meaning to read this author for a while. This was a nice little glimpse into her style and I definitely enjoyed so won't be leaving it long to read a full book by her. Hopefully the rest of this as Gabby definitely intrigued me.

This is a charity Anthology written by Fifteen Authors to raise money to empower women and I have to say what an amazing thing that these authors are doing as each purchase 100% of the money goes to this charity which I think is a truly honourable thing to do. Some of these authors are new to me but after reading this collection I will definitely be reading more of these work in the future. Each one is a standalone book and I couldn't put them down as they were so well written and kept your attention and I definitely recommend you read this box set and you will definitely not be disappointed especially as it is for such a great cause.

I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing Box Set.

Such a great collection of stories! I started with the first, Reign by Alex Ferreira. She's a new to me author and I really enjoyed this story! Definitely need to check this author out. The next one I read was Hoops & Scoops. I love a good sports romance and it was also a second chance story. Win win for me. Cannot wait to read the rest of this one!! I'm continuing on to finish this great anthology with kick butt, strong women and filling up my kindle with all these wonderful, new to me authors. Definitely an anthology you want to add to your collection!

Strong women of every stripe feature in this anthology of 13 short stories, designed to raise money for a charity that helps women 'fix their crown'. Female mechanics, mafia, female detectives, African queens, advice columnists, you name it. This diverse and entertaining series of stories are designed to give you a taste of the characters and of the authors' capabilities. There are certainly some authors I'd be interested in reading again, such as Jo Richardson and Tanya Nellestein. As to be expected, some of the writers are better than others, and a few of the stories needed a thorough edit. There were some typos and incorrect grammar ('drug' is not the past tense of drag, it's dragged. And call me a traditionalist, but there's no such word as 'agreeance' - it's 'agreement'). But I was happy to ignore those in the name of charity.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is an anthology written by women, with stories featuring strong women who support other strong women. Many of these authors were new to me. The stories are short and easy to read. The plots are varied from mafia romance to college age romance and more. Many of the heroines have had to work hard to find their strength and they are not giving it away easily. I really loved this anthology. It introduced me to authors who I will be looking to read more of in the future. Several of these shorts are prequels or introductory stories to other series and I am really excited to see these characters in full books.

Smart, Strong mixed with Romance

There is a story for everyone, a group of talented authors each write a genre that they are known for by their fans. The thread that connects them is the theme of strong smart women who want to lead or walk beside their partner but definitely not follow; they want love but the want it made known they are capable of making their way on their own two feet. 20 different stories with strong Fierce women characters. I really enjoyed Alexi Ferreira’s Reign. I love the fact that 👑 100% of the proceeds will be donated to a charity for breast cancer.

A Knight to Guard by Sofia Aves is a very quick read but full of passion. I am a bit out of my comfort zone with dystopian stories but this one held my attention.. Saba Ruvoc was a member of the Basileia's Legacy Guard, she was on duty for the Princess's ball where dignitaries from the surrounding kingdoms would be present....trouble was expected. When her commander, Zvale ordered her to change her uniform for a ball gown and mingle next to the princess, Saba thought that she was out of her depth, but she admired Zvale and trusted him, or did she ? This is a steamy story that I read in less than an hour.

Fix your crown is a collection of short stories by different authors.

There are many stories highlighting many situations we women get into or have to face in life.

Some have me courage and some of them have hope, in some stories man are portrayed how they are supposed to be but hard to find I real life.

The biggest disappointment was when the story doesn't tied up nicely and followed up in the full version .

My favorites are….

Hoops and scoop

Reinventing

I just love the sequel tension in Reign

I enjoyed these quick reads. Such a varied set of genre. All included an heroine who was strong in making quick decisions for their futures and going through with it to find love at the end.

I received a copy of this story through Literary Designs, and this is my unsolicited review.

Read a Knight to Guard by Sofia Aves. This short story was amazing. We got to see the romance grow between Saba and Zvale. It was a fast pace book and I hope we might get more of these characters.

A little bit of everything

Reign by Alexi Ferreira : A nice little prequel to set up this crime family. A little spicy. A nice strong, equal footing female lead, without being needlessly harsh. ;;
Hoops & Scoops by Amanda Shelley : So, college sports romance is not usually my bag, but, I liked this '2nd chance, older/wiser' take on things. No shallowness, and again, a strong woman who knows her worth, but is not unreasonable in her directness, while still succumbing to a woman's natural predilection to lead with her emotions. I hope they do get their story. ;;
A Witch's Revenge by Angela Sanders : Well, the title says it! But the twist is vicious.  Certainly makes me want to read the series when it comes out. ;;
Reinventing Amber Jaymes by Barb Shuler : So, that was a wee bit of danger, but not too intense (possible trigger warning), but the series the world is set in is clearly pretty dangerous.  It was a lovely little slice of life in a small town, otherwise.  And I liked that even though we skipped the journey of recovery, we still got to hear that it happened, but wasn't just magically OK overnight.  ;;
Gabby by Brittany Tarkington: College romance prequel. Language/writing style fit the genre (not my fave) but the story definitely intrigued me & I'm interested in hearing the rest of their story. ;;
McCatherine by Callie Rae : THAT is some dramatic little Romantic Suspense teaser, there.  I'm assuming a connector piece of the adults, between some main series pieces for YA/NA series. Very engrossing for how small it is. ;;
Sugar and Spice by E.K. Woodcock : Sm Twn YA. This was aptly named: Sugar & Spice. A little sweet, a little heat, a little teen angst, an easy resolution. ;;
Queen Things by Jade Bay : Cont Afr Royal; That was unique, spicy (very), w/ a little intrigue (as expected with any royalty. ;;
Storm Surge by Jami Denise : MC; Oh, this is exactly what a Prequel should be, a story that I'm sure is background on support characters, but is probably more interesting than the full story. Heck, I'd love to see the 'history' of this one fleshed out to a full novel. Gripping stuff. ;;
A Word of Advice by Jo Richardson : Cont Rom; Well that was just fun. ;;
Remember Us by Ruby Wolff : 2nd Chance Rom. I liked the story, but it needs editing (enough it was throwing me off). Like, the spelling of the main character's name kept changing.  ;;
A Knight to Guard by Sofia Aves : Fantasy/Royal Guard.  So, the premise /set up at the beginning was a wee bit difficult to follow. But nevermind, cause that got spicy fast! And, I think the reader's confusion might have been meant to mimic the MC's, cause, this TOTALLY seems like it's meant to be a vignette into an established series, (that I'd totally LIKE to read), but if so, I can't find it. Please write it!   ;;
Once Betrayed by Tanya Nellestein : UC cops Vs MC (RomSusp)    That was intense, and SUCH a tease, but I so want to read more!

Fix Your Crown is a collection of novels from a number of different authors featuring stories across various tropes including second chance love, paranormal and mafia romance. The authors featured are Amanda Shelley, Alex Ferreira, Angela Saunders, Brittany Tarkington, Barb Shuler, Callie Rae, E.K Woodcock, Jade Bay, Jami Denise, Jo Richardson, Ruby Wolff, Sofia Aves and Tanya Nellestein. Many of these authors are new to me and I’m looking forward to reading there contrition to this anthology as soon as time permits.

Hoops and Scoops by Amanda Shelly
This is DeShawn Miller and Chloe Eckert’s second chance at love and it’s a perfect prequel to this expanded story which is due to be released at a later date. This novella gave me just enough to leave me excited for what’s coming next from this couple.

Storm Surge by Jami Denise
A new author to me and this was a wonderful introduction to her works. This is a story about women helping women. It was an emotional read about history repeating itself, it’s about facing abd dealing with the past. It’s dark, raw and gritty and I can’t wait to read more by his author.

Remember Us by Ruby Wolff
Another new author for me but I love romances set in small towns and once again I got a perfect introduction to this authors works. Olivia and Liam were meant to be forever but fate had other ideas and we see Liam leaving town for a year working in London. Fate works in mysterious ways and we now see Liam home trying to win the lve of his life back. This hook touched me on so many levels and I’m excited to read mite by this author.

This is a wonderful anthology and once you add in the fact that all proceeds will be donated to a charity that empowers women, should give you every reason to one click.
