Ames Bronson must have a death wish.

We get the kids from Candy Ink!!! And we saw many of them in the first book.

So Ames is new to the Candy family and enjoying working there and he meets Maxine at a bar things hit it off really well between them it was suppose to be a sorta one night from Max but when she sees Ames at her fathers shop as the newest employee like herself they have to keep things  Professional but it's hard since both have this deep connection so they date in secret when she hears her dad say no work relationships..

But glad they worked it out and showed Zeke they wanna be together and no one shall stand in there way.

No om/om drama, no cheating, Slight secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

It is so good to be back at Eye Candy Ink! Zeke's daughter Maxine has just finished college and next step of her life plan is to take the manager position at Eye Candy. Ames is settling in at Eye Candy when he is bowled over by the most beautiful woman. They spend the night together but when he wakes up, she is gone. Desperate to find her, he never expected to be introduced to her by his boss and her father. Can they take the chance on love or will they have to be practically strangers? Sweet and cute combined with appearances from the first generation, I am over the moon excited for the rest of the series!

Ames is the newest member of the Eye Candy Ink crew, moving into the new location with the other children of the crew he is still getting to know everyone when he meets the women of his dreams Maxine. Little do we know then that Maxine is the daughter of Zeke and so it begins. Maxine is not a risk taker and keeps everything she says and does in the bubble of checks and balances. Ames is smart and strong and knows what he wants. When they realize their connection as co workers they try to keep it professional but at the end of the day their connection is more than the fling they tried to make it. You get the alpha protectiveness from the original Eye Candy Family with all the Uncles, Aunts and families while getting to meet the new generation of kids finding themselves in the actions of their future. I love it! I cannot wait to see what happens next I am already in count down mode to see when some of the other guys get their HEAs.

I received this as an arc for my honest review

This was my first book in the Eye Candy Ink universe but it won’t be my last. I absolutely loved it. The instant and undeniable connection between Ames and Maxine was the set up for the story. I loved them together, they were both sweet and steamy just perfect. I’m so looking forward to the next book.

I fell in love with Shaw Hart’s books after reading Atlas book 1 of her Eye Candy Ink series and was over the moon about reading this new series. Ames is the first book of the Second Generation and hit me in the feels. I loved reading about the original crew and seeing their kids all grown up. Add in that this was a one night stand, forbidden office romance and I was in heaven. Ames is a read in one sitting romance and has me looking forward to the rest of the books in the series. TBR and enjoy.

I love all the interconnections with other stories. I have not read the original Eye Candy Inc books, but now I am definitely going to look them up. I enjoyed Ames and Maxine.

A love at first sight in a club ended by a steamy one night stand. Ames is a tattoo artist that finds out his new boss’s daughter is the woman he couldn’t get enough of after their hookup. They both weigh their options of dating or not dating in their work place and this sets up for a good story on how they juggle work and their personal love lives while trying to be discreet from some of their friends and family.

A shorter novel than expected, liked the characters even though the plot is fast going. I would of loved to have read some "shop" terms, seen as it is an "ink" shop that the main characters work in. But overall it is a good quick easy read.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Ames meets Maxine at Club Se7en when he goes out with the guys, Harvey, Rooney and Bank's at Eye Candy Ink. Maxine is out with Cat who took over the club for her father, Max. Before Ames goes to leave he locks eyes with Maxine and walks closer to her. Maxine pulls him closer to her and starts dancing, so the lights start to flicker signaling the clubs about to close. Maxine asks him what he's doing and Ames tells her whatever she wants, so she tells him to come with her. Maxine leads Ames out to the parking lot and ask him which car is his. She sends a text to Cat letting her know what she is about to do, head to Ames place. Maxine asks him if she can see his bedroom once they are inside he tells her she they don't have to do anything. Maxine tells Ames she wants to do stuff, she steps out of her dress and tells him it's his turn to undress. Ames carries her down the hall to his bedroom, then pleasures her and then they get physical. When Ames falls asleep, Maxine slips out from under his arm and leaves. The next day Ames is distracted he can't get Maxine out of his mind, he searches social media looking for her but didn't get her last name. Before he leaves for the day Zeke, one the owners comes in to ask Ames how he's doing. Then he introduces Ames to his daughter who will be taking over managing the location. Ames eyes lock on Maxine as she walks towards him, they introduce as if last night never happened. Ames leaves and puts a call into his brothers, Alexander and Anthony both are older than him. After Maxine is alone in her office she calls her older sister Nicole, she tells her the whole story of how she met Ames and what happened. Nicole tells her that she should try to see where the relationship will go. Ames wants to talk to Maxine the next day but she doesn't come in until later in the day. They both agree to keep things professional, but when Ames goes to leave and he reaches for the door they start kissing. They only break apart when they hear someone knocking on the door. Banks wants to know if she needs someone to walk her to her car. Ames tells Banks he was planning to walk her to her car. The next day after Maxine gets to work her sister, Nicole calls her wanting to know if she figures things out yet. They hang up when they hear Harvey and Rooney come into the parlor. Banks come in a few minutes later and asks Maxine if she wants to talk to him about Ames. When Ames comes into the office after Banks leave Maxine asks him if he'd like to go out with her sometime and he tells her yes. Ames takes Maxine to a paint and pour class, he has his hands full with wine and glasses. When Ames finds out Maxine's never been on a date to dinner and a movie he promises that'll be their next date. They follow the instructor directors to paint and soon class is over. Ames takes Maxine home, she asks him if they can keep their date quiet for now. Then Ames kisses her goodnight and promises to see her in the morning. The next night their plan get ruined when Harvey and Rooney talk about going to see a movie, so they head to a little Italian place. Over dinner they talk to each other about their families. After dinner Ames asks her if she get seasick and then takes her on the tiki boat rides. After that he tells her he doesn't want the night to end she asks him who say it has to end. Ames tells her he doesn't want to rush her, she tells him she wants him and asks him to take her home. Ames takes her back to his apartment, he pleasures her, then she pleasures him, then they get physical. Afterwords he tells her she's not sneaking out this time, she tells him she couldn't move if she tried. They spend the next month between both apartments. Maxine heads to her parents house on Sunday for their weekly family gathering. Banks checks in on her to see how things are going with Ames. When Uncle Mischa asks Maxine when is she going to bring someone home, her father says never. Maxine tells them she works to much to find someone, Mischa tells her she can find someone at work. Zeke reminds her about the no fraternization at the shop or you are fired rule. Now Maxine isn't sure what she is going to do. Ames's brother, Alexander calls him to let him know he'll be in town and wants to stop by and see him. Soon it's Wednesday before Maxine gets a chance to talk to Ames, she tells him she doesn't want to make him choose between her and his job. Ames tells her he's all in with her he has been since their first night together. Maxine asks him to keep in between them for a little while longer, she can see the disappointment in him as he walks out the door. Ames tries to give Maxine space as she makes her decision about them. Ames's brother Alexander comes to visit him at the shop, soon Ames hears the front door slam and Zeke is calling his name. Rooney asks him what did he do and Ames tells him he must have found out about him and Maxine. Harvey and Banks come to stand in the hallway when Zeke bust into Ames's room. Maxine comes racing into the room, and Ames tells her that her dad knows about them. Maxine asks her dad how he found out, he tells her Uncle Max seen them out together. Maxine tells Zeke she had her reasons for keeping it from him, she asks him if he's going to fire her. They hear a voice and turn to see Maxine's sister, Nicole there. Zeke and Maxine go to hug her. When Nicole asks if Zeke finally found out about Ames and Maxine, he asks her how long have they been seeing each other. Maxine tells him to stop, she's in love with Ames, and he doesn't get to come in and scare him away. Ames tells her he loves her too, Maxine tells Zeke they are in love. She tells her dad that if he fires Ames she'll quit. Zeke asks Maxine if she really loves Ames and she tell him yes. Zeke tells Ames they need to talk and takes him to Maxine's office. Ames follows Zeke into Maxine's office, he tells him that Maxine is his baby girl and she never been interest in boys. She's been happier these last few weeks, and it's because of hill, Zeke tells him as long as he makes her happy they won't have a problem. Ames tells Zeke he loves Maxine and will always make her happy. After everyone leaves Ames asks her if she'd like to go out to dinner then a movie, then he tells her she can move in with him. Maxine tells him yes she'll move in with him. One year later, Ames had asks Zeke for his approval before he proposed to Maxine. The wedding is set for the fall, she moved in with him a few months after he had asked. They both have been talking about having kids, sometime in the future. Maxine tells him she loves him and he tells her he loves her too. Five years later, they take their son Ansel to stay with his grandfather Zeke as they are headed to the cabin. They still have Sunday brunch with everyone. Most of the original Eye Candy Ink are retired or planning to retire. Maxine is at home throwing up, Ames comes in to help her holding her hair back. He asks her if it was something she ate, she tells him no, she's pregnant. She tells him she just found out last night. They decide they need a bigger place to live, their apartment is getting to small. Ames thinks to himself as he carries Maxine inside as she sleeps. All of this from a one night stand, that night he got the love of his life, the best family and the happiest ever after that he didn't know he wanted all thanks to Eye Candy Ink.

Stava proprio per andarsene dal nightclub quando è rimasto ammaliato da una sirena: una bellissima ragazza bionda dagli occhi azzurri l’ha rapito totalmente.
Maxine Miller era al locale per festeggiare la sua laurea quando si imbatte in Ames e fanno subito scintille. Per la prima volta Maxine prova qualcosa per un ragazzo e di certo non si lascerà sfuggire questa occasione.

Finalmente riesco a mettere le mani su questo eBook dato che in Italia sono arrivate le traduzioni in ordine sparso. Aaah il fantastico mondo dell’editoria *ruota gli occhi al cielo*
È la classica storia firmata Shaw Hart ovvero racconto breve, nemmeno 100 pagine con un istant love da paura. Non amo molto questo cliché ma l’autrice me lo fa apprezzare sempre.
Storia d’amore semplice e lineare senza nessun dramma emotivo come piace a me.
Abbiamo Maxine, figlia di Zeke e prossima dirigente dell’Eye Ink Candy e Ames, nuovo tatuatore dello studio. Incontriamo così la seconda generazione e i vecchi protagonisti della prima serie ormai di mezz’età e sistemati.
Come al solito, l’unica cosa che sempre mi fa storcere il naso è l’epilogo che io chiamo bonariamente “epilogo alla Bridgerton” ambientato svariati anni dopo con i personaggi dei futuri libri già ammogliati. Cioè, manco ti conosco e tu spiattelli già con nomi e cognomi le prossime coppie?! Così non va.
Unica pecca che mi ha fatto abbassare la valutazione.

"C'è una leggenda nella mia famiglia secondo la quale tutti con una sola occhiata alla propria persona sanno di essere fatti l'uno per l'altra. Non ci avevo mai creduto, ma ora che ho Ames con me, mi chiedo se sia vera."

Questo libro apre uno spin off della serie madre, con protagonisti i figli dei vecchi protagonisti... peccato che la suddetta serie non sia stata tradotta in italiano XD Comunque risulta leggibile e godibile anche così, sebbene non si comprendano fino in fondo tutti i vari rapporti di amicizia e parentela che legano i vari personaggi (ci sono un sacco di fratelli "onorari" XD). Mi piacciono molto le serie con grandi famiglie unite in cui tutti si supportano e si spalleggiano a vicenda e qui è proprio così, perciò oltre ad una bella storia d'amore (forse un filino veloce, ma le pagine disponibili quelle erano XD) abbiamo anche deliziosi personaggi secondari e una bella atmosfera. Mi è piaciuto molto l'epilogo allungato nel tempo, mi ha dato un senso di completezza che non sempre provo (in genere poi queste storie brevi hanno sempre finali buttati lì per lì) anche se ha un poco "spoilerato" il destino degli altri personaggi ma dettagli XD Sono curiosa di leggere gli altri libri, soprattutto quello dello scanzonato Rooney, che mi ha strappato più di qualche risata!

Shaw Hart takes us back to Eye Candy Ink for a Second Generation series and I am sooooo here for this!!
Ames dreams have finally come true, he has just started working at Eye Candy Ink. And on a night out he meets and spends the night with a beautiful woman named Maxine. He is devastated when she disappears without leaving her phone number.
What he isn't expecting is to see her the next day in Eye Candy Ink. Not only is she about to become his boss but he also discovers she is Zeke's the owners daughter.
What does this mean for these two who shared an instantaneous connection. Will it be over before it ever really begun? Or will they take a chance on love and throw all rules out the window?
This was a fast ready but most definitely not lacking read. It was sweet, humorous, and oh so swoon worthy. I loved the appearances from the first generation, especially protective papa bear Zeke.
Loved this read and can't wait to see where the series takes us next.

So good!!!

With Ames (Eye Candy Ink: The Second Generation) all my Eye Candy boys are back but with the added benefit of even more hot and sexy tattoo artists. I loved this story….a steamy one night stand that linger in Ames mind until he finds out the girl is Maxine, the daughter of Zeke….and his new boss. And now she’s kind of his boss too because no she’s the shop manager…..how’s that going to work out? I loved reading how they navigate a new and secret relationship while worrying this is all gonna blow up in their face when Zeke finds out about them.

This was sexy and steamy but equally sweet and romantic. I’m so excited for more of this new generation of guys. I’m such a sucker for a tattoo artist romance for some reason and this is one of my favorite series. I’m excited to read more.

The wait is over! The second gen is here and they are fantastic and I loved getting to read a little bit more of the original Eye Candy Inc crew. I read this book the very first day that I got it and have re-read already. This was an awesome book! I loved Maxine and Ames together. These two had a connection and chemistry that was undeniable! Ames and Maxine were perfect for each other when though they were not looking for each other. There was only a bit of drama but that drama made these two finally admit their feelings and forced them closer together. I can not wait for the rest of this series! I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Shaw as a must read author.

It's so good to be back in the world of Eye Candy Ink and what a great story to start off the new series. Maxine and Ames are hot right from the start. Maxine, whose father is the original owner, is not an artist but runs the new shop. Even though she's has the "coolest" parents, she's not led a wild life until the night before she's to start work. Her one night stand so happens to be with the newest artist Ames. He's moved from his family to work for the legendary tattoo shop, but is willing to give it all up for her.

Hart does a fantastic job of weaving old and new characters into the story. We get to see the fun and camaraderie enjoyed in the previous series continue with the new series.

Maxine has just finished college and will be taking over running her dad's shop soon, but now she just wants to enjoy the night When Ames and Maxine meet on the dance floor the connection is like anything they have ever felt. When Maxine walk into the tattoo shop, Ames world is thrown into a tail spin.

Love the heat and passion between Maxine and Ames, the chemistry is sizzling anytime they are near each other. I not sure what part grabbed my heart the most.... When Ames choose Maxine over the job, or when Zeke stormed into the shop.

Grab this one up and get lost in the love.

Plot: Ames meets Maxine one night out at a club and they share a wonderful night together, but he discovers the next day that she is the manager of the tattoo parlor where he was just hired. She's also his boss's daughter. But they can't seem to stay away from each other - some things are meant to be!

Commentary: This one was cute even though I hated that Maxine was so reluctant to spill the beans, so to speak. She could have told everyone what was going on a lot sooner, especially considering that everyone around her was already on and her dad was going to react the way he did no matter what.
It was nice to see some of the couples from the first gen books.

I never wanted it to end!

The nostalgia alone from the og Eye Candy Ink gave me so much serotonin, and getting the first look at the second generation was everything I could have wanted. Ames & Maxine had that instant spark that her parents and aunts and uncles had, and although there was some worry in their relationship is all worked out well. I loved the addition of Ames and the new characters at the shop, plus seeing the kids friend dynamic was everything! This was such a fun read and I can’t wait for more!

A new town, check. A new job, check. A good night out in the new town before starting a new job, check. Hooking up with a smoking hot girl for the night never to see her again,, check. Discovering the next day that said girl is the sister of your new boss and your new manager, a surprising check. What will happen? Will he loose his job? Will they reconnect? This was a great story with great characters that will keep you glued to the end.

A great carry on to the second generation

What a great book to start out the second generation of Eye Candy Ink. Ames just started working at Eye Candy Ink a job he was honored to get. Zeke has always been his idol. He went out one night with the guys and saw her, his one, on the dance floor. Maxine felt something for him too but thought it would be a one night stand. The next day reality shows up, she's his new boss and she's Zeke's daughter. Read the book to see what happens. It's sooo good. Written by Cindy :)

Sweet story about the next generation

I read this having read most of the Eye Candy Ink series and I'm sure it helped provide context, but want essential.
It was sweet and hot story about a girl who takes over managing the family business and a boy who has gotten his dream job only to realise they already knew each other, from the night before! Their chemistry is lovely and Ames is just a sexy softy. A really enjoyable read!

The consequences are clear the next day when he realized she's the sister of his new boss. To top it off, she's his new manager.
