Can you imagine what would happen if Santa forgot to take his GPS with him on Christmas Eve and got lost delivering the presents? In this silly look at Santa Claus in a number of worst-case scenarios, kids and parents alike will laugh out loud at the million and one little things that could go wrong, from Santa having to pull his sleigh himself because the reindeer are tired, or getting the presents mixed up so you accidentally end up with Grandma's new hat instead of the toy you wanted. While not everything may always go as planned, one thing is for sure--Christmas magic will always prevail. Even if Santa loses his suspenders or stops to take a selfie with his reindeer, kids know you can always count on him because Santa will never forget where you live--just make sure you stay on the nice list this year!!

A pleasant little sister volume to the earlier one that showed what teachers would never, ever say at work – this one doesn't really subvert the idea of Christmas, because what it says Santa would never do is just that – fail his sleigh-flying licence, get lost, get Xmas and Easter muddled up... As a book it's alright for Christmas, but if it gets read at all after Jan 1 it might be a minor miracle. It also has a very cheesy moral kind of conclusion, to try and shoe-horn it into the gift market. Despite there being little wrong with it, it may struggle.

This book was beyond adorable and so cleverly written. The word choice, sentence structure, and language use were brilliantly executed to the point where I could not stop laughing and imagining the faces of young readers while they read this book or have their parent, teacher, and babysitter read to them. This book will be perfect for every elementary classroom and the students will have a blast with activities and just listening to how fun this book really is.

We will consider adding this title to our Picture Book collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

I read All the Things a Teacher Will Never Say and thought it was a book that kids would think is hilarious. This one didn’t seem as funny to me. They’ll get a kick out of some of the things, like Santa forgetting to wear his suspenders. The illustrations are crazy, so children will probably enjoy them too.

This is a book that may be read once or twice around Christmas, but I don’t see it being a year-round favorite.
