Terran Reset #2

Recruiting Measures

Rate this book
A life of pain is swapped for a rabid urge to collect experiences. Being a recruiter with an elusive species is just as much fun as it sounds.

Kyna was shocked when she got an invitation to the Reset Project. She was even more shocked when she found out that her nephew had found her application from decades earlier and forward it to the Volunteer Project.

She had been mature then, she was older now, but her body was still her prison. Wracked with two types of arthritis, her body had been a temple to pain since childhood. The project says that it can reverse the effects on her body, so she cannot believe it actually works.

Kyna gains her health with a few additions. Her hair is darker, longer, and her ears are pointed. The one fun alteration is her eyes, as she is tired of being overlooked.

Kyna lands on Rai and begins her career helping the local retreat for wounded guardians to organize, and from there, she branches out and starts to perform her contracted obligation in guardian recruitment.

A few years pass, and she comes home to a full house, her normal room occupied, and she is given one of the VIP rooms. Across the hall is a guardian who is a little gruff but very charming, and there is pain in his eyes. She was always very comfortable with pain.

I wish the threat was ... more of a threat? Or just not dealt with so easily and quickly. Otherwise, I really enjoy these resets. It's insanely amusing to hear an elderly woman shout "what the actual fuck?!" for some reason.

Loved Kyna's story

Kyna Meadow suffers from rheumatoid arthritis. 30 years ago, before her disease became crippling she applied to the volunteer program, and was rejected. Her nephew Learned otherwise and positioned to get her in the program.
Kyna is part of a new program. Her DNA is "reset" to when she was in her best health. She has a job that utilized her talents on a planet with a Terran female who also calls Rai home.
Kyna makes a life for herself. She makes friends. Enjoys her job working with the guardians. Then she meets Daku.
Retired Guardian, Daku, has found the mate who's image was sent to him long ago. Now he has to claim her.
Loved Kyna and Daku's story. Sweet and steamy. A nice epilogue. Loved seeing Amy and Akutan again, their story is a favorite.
Recruiting Measures can be read as a stand alone. Better of read after, Fade is Amy and Akutan's story.
Destined, is Rhoda's story.

An enjoyable sci-fi romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment in the Terran Reset series. It was fun to revisit Rai, and the hero was quite delicious. The heroine was deeply sympathetic, and I was glad that she had difficulty learning to read and write the language. It was nice to see a heroine with a learning disability for the first time in the Terran Times series. Yay for wider representation. This was a delicious little potato chip of a book. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases.

Learning to live

Kyna is dying by inches, physically crippled and emotionally repressed. When she is approached by the agency that recruits elder humans to work in the stars, she accepts. What follows is the “reset” and a new body, a new life on a new planet. She learns much, but there are two things she can’t seem to grasp: reading/writing her new language, and love. Great story!

Highly recommended

I'm enjoying the Reset series, and this second offering is even better than the first book. Good worlds building, and decent, classic story telling. The sex ain't bad either, but isn't overdone. If you are a Viola Grace fan, this is one of her better books. Am hoping the rest of the series is just as fun!

Terran Reset #2

I love this series so far. What an interesting premise. Giving denied Terrans a second chance at life on alien worlds as Terran Volunteers after they have been reset to a younger age and body health. All about the second chances.

One of the best

I enjoyed this story so much. I have a chronic pain condition and the sympathetic but not condescending representation of this type of condition is incredible. I think this book was perfect for me!

Recruiting measures

Kyna is an intuitive Terran who lives in progressive pain from arthritis and osteoarthritis. Her nephew sent in a reset application and Kyna is pain free, taller and stunning. Lord Daku is smitten beyond the prescient paintings he has seen.

Another wonderful story

This second book in the reset series is delightful. I really like Kona, who has a warm giving heart despite the challenges of her life before the reset. This is another lovely story and I cannot wait for the next story in this series.

Good Series

I'm a reader, not a writer. I am enjoying this series. The author is very talented. I especially enjoy the Reset concept. The main characters their personalities, the men that love them, the passion. Yes worth the money

Too Old? Nah!

I had been waiting for one of my favorite authors to make the heroine an older woman, and finally, we have a very fun and incredibly beautiful love story!
