I think this is a book I read and loved when I was younger that I have been trying for ages to remember the name of! It took lots of searching to find it, but it was driving me crazy not to remember. Can anyone tell me if the dog in the book is female but named "Ronald Reagan"?????

Strangely enough, btw, this author was the mother of the Lindbergh baby who was kidnapped!

Correction: Anne Spencer Lindbergh, author of Nobody's Orphan, was actually the elder daughter of the aviation pioneer Charles A. Lindbergh and Anne Morrow Lindbergh, and was born eight years after the kidnapping and killing of baby Charles A. Lindbergh Jr.

Reading this book as a kid is why I adopted a black lab mix when I was a teenager.

Found this gem in my Little Free Library. This is the most well written and engaging children's chap book I've read in a while.

This book was a childhood favorite so it was really nostalgic to read again. I consumed it in just a day! Martha was such a good character, and I loved how curious she was. It made me feel like a younger child myself again, to be honest. Love, love, love.
