প্রাচীন লক্ষনৌনগরীর নৈশবাজার নখাশ থেকে পাওয়া এক মুখোশ নাকি আসলে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের দিনাজপুরের এক প্রত্যন্ত গ্রামের ’মোখা’। কালগমিরার সেই ’মোখা'য় নাকি ভর করেন দেবতা স্বয়ং। কিন্তু সেই মোখা বানাতে গেলে শিল্পীকেও যে হতে হয় অন্তরে ও বাইরে শুদ্ধ। নাহলে মৃত্যুর অতর্কিত হানায় ছারখার হয়ে যায় সবকিছু। প্রতিশোধ, হিংসা ও ঈর্ষার অলৌকিক সমাবেশ ঘটেছে মোখামুখিতে।

দুই সদ্যযুবা হঠাৎই পথ হারাল গহীন অরণ্যে। অঙ্কই তাদের ভালবাসা, অঙ্কই তাদের জগত। কিন্তু সেই গভীর বনে বন্য দাঁতাল হাতির বসবাস সুবিদিত। রাতও গভীর হয় ক্রমশ। তারপর? শুভঙ্করের ফাঁকির ফাঁদে কীভাবে পড়ল তারা?
