Enjoying the task of writing juicy gossip stories every week, Stephanie finds herself the center of attention when she is identified as the columnist, and worries what will happen when her classmates realize that her work isn't all fact. Original.
Stephanie is the new gossip column writer at school. But not even her two best friends know about it! But she's got a problem, she can't figure out what to put in for her stories. When the whole school finds out that Stephanie writes it, she might lose her two best friends!
I love this book! I love all the book in the Full House series. They are awesome. You should read this book if you haven't read it yet.
Stephanie gets into hot water writing for the school paper. This story focuses on ethics in journalism, and it mostly succeeds. There's also a very arch conclusion, worthy of any TV show.
This book's central focus is Stephanie Tanner. Stephanie is relishing her new extracurricular activity of writing a gossip column for the school paper. Things start well but quickly descend to chaos. As Stephanie's column gains traction, she begins to spiral into a web of lies to keep her column popular. The question remains if she can untangle her lies before she loses her friends. Overall, I found this book wholesome and a delight to read. I enjoyed that the characters and their traits were similar to those of the TV show, in addition to the new characters. I also appreciated that the plot points and storyline of the book were different from the TV show. This writing style gives the stories in the series variety. I will continue the series.
Stephanie is the anonymous gossip column writer on the school newspaper, but then her cover is blown. And several of her stories were made up and almost make her lose her friends, and she tries to resolve it. I do think it would have been better if a faculty member was supervising the paper.
I don't know why I loved these books so much as a kid, but I am really excited that I have been able to find some of these at Half Price Books in the last few months. Most of them I've never actually read, but I did read this one as a kid. I loved it then, and reading it now put a smile on my face.
4 stars for nostalgia's sake, since I loved this one so much when I was younger.
Side note: I always wondered why they introduced Allie and Darcy in the book series, since they weren't on the show. I also thought Darcy was annoying in every single book - I would never have been friends with her! I wish Gia would have made an appearance at some point.
