In book 2, Ruby is off to Spain with her best friend Isabel and the whole García family! Despite Ruby’s two brothers wrangling an invitation as well, Ruby is determined to find all the best Spanish food and maybe solve a family mystery along the way!

Oh this is a fun series!! This second book in the series is just as fun as the first! I love the themes of family connection and cultural heritage. I love how no-nonsense Ruby is. She is focused! I love the fun little mysteries. And I love all the food talk! The recipes included in the book sound so delicious! This series really does check everything on my perfect book checklist! I am learning to really love and appreciate Tiffany Foo’s writing style. It is very sparse and succinct with no extra descriptions or side characters/situations. And yet the story is rich and full and satisfying! It reads very much like a recipe! This books ends setting up a new adventure and I can’t wait for book 3! I really love this series! Highly recommend!

Ruby Foo and the Traveling Kitchen: Adventure #2: Ruby Goes to Spain is written by Tiffany Foo. This is book two in the Ruby Foo and the Traveling Kitchen Series. I have read the first book, but they can be read as stand alone stories. This book is geared toward kids ages 8-12. I read this book with my 8 and 10 year old sons. We enjoyed the adventure that the book took us on. In this story Ruby goes to Spain. We enjoyed learning about different cultures with this story. The boys had a lot of questions and it opened up some great conversation. The author did great research and through personal knowledge to create this book. The boys want to try to create some of the recipes in this story. I would recommend this book for young readers. Both of my children were able to read this story with no problem.
I received a copy of this book through the publisher. All thoughts are my own.

I loved the protagonist in Book #1. I can’t wait to gift this second book to my niece. Younger generations need to know about their culture
