Tom knew that the Cave needed more spear holders, especially for the upcoming Weeling at which he would be the Accord Leader. The trouble was, where would he find them and how would he persuade them to join the Dream Cave and take him as their leader? When some travellers appeared in the distance, some thought it was heaven sent. Tom, however, was conscious that the previous groups that had come their way had been anything but friendly. Then when more travellers appeared, alarm bells sounded in everyone’s minds. Would this be another, and bigger attack or a helping hand?

Librarian Note: There is more than one author by this name in the Goodreads database.

Sadly Stephen died suddenly on the 8th Jan 2022, leaving 2 more books to be proof read and then published. His wife will try to sort them out but at present has a lot to cope with. He wrote up to the end of his life so there are ideas awaiting to be written.

Stephen was a retired software engineer who worked for several major UK companies and travelled the world managing and testing software projects. Then he was more used to writing User Manuals than novels. That is before he retired with his wife to live in Cyprus. There, with time on his hands, ideas in his head and the need to type, he started to write. His first novel, which is still unpublished, took him 4 years.

In his spare time he did charity work on the Island and is a wood turner.

He and his wife have two grown up children and three grandchildren.

He has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, and an MBA from the Open University.

Great series

Time travel survivalist harem adult situations
The MC, Tom, has add gunpowder to his bag of tricks. The writing is good, though the similarity of some minor characters is a bit confusing at times, and more so when they both share the same name. While there were fewer errors than in the first book, Mr Matthews still a good writer in desperate need of a professional editor. There were enough mistakes I had to take off a star. If you can ignore the many incorrect or missing words, it's a good tale. I will likely buy the next book, and continue to shake my head at the sad choice of a good story replete with errors.

And it's Shaman (Farlee), not Sharman.

Decent

It was ok, but I'm not sure if I got my money's worth. Tom is doing a good job leading, but he needs to be teaching more, especially about making bows. Bow making is more than just carving a stick in the correct shape.

Pre-historic Politics

Tom is plagued with more want to be’s. Some work out politically; some take force. In the end it all works out. Good plot. Good characters. Recommend this book. Read in sequence.

Good storyline continues

Good read but has the same flaws as the previous books in this series. Author needs someone with a better grasp of correct grammar to act as a proof reader
