Sapphy, an MMA champ, has fought for everything she has achieved in life and won; championships, medals and sponsorship. The one thing that eludes her is love.
With a vision to empower women through fitness and body confidence, Sapphy brings a women-only gym to the city via some hard earned investment.
As Sapphy fights to help women begin their journey, she is thrown into her own epic battle. With her future and her heart locked away in a deal which could cost her more than she ever bargained for what will happen when an unexpected someone hands her the key to love.
When it comes down to a struggle between your dreams and your integrity, is fighting still the best answer?
This a slow burn, age gap, lesbian romance about empowerment and hope, even for those that don’t even realise they need it.
Somethings here made me uncomfortable and I would have liked it better had the character learned from their mistake and the ending had been different. I thought it was glossed over too easily, and overall wasn't as effective in character development.
On the Ropes is the final instalment in the Stronger You Series. This story is centered on Sapphy, the woman who owns the gym. Ruby Scott ends this series with a thoughtful and inspiring story. It is the perfect ending. 5⭐️
I think this might be my favorite book in this series. I love all the characters and it was great to see how the gym got started. Sapphy is in a situation were is has been used by Maura now she enters a very complicated business deal with her. Esha is confident and loving with her eyes on Sapphy. Esha gives Sapphy something worth fighting for that's more important that just the gym. This is a very empowering series to read. Ruby Scott gives us characters to root for.
This is more than just a love story , it’s also about great friends and never giving up! Sapphy and Esha are both lovable MCs and have great chemistry which makes for some steamy scenes! If you haven’t read the 1st two books in the series I highly recommend so you get to know the supporting characters who are also have great stories to tell!
I read The Stronger You novels one after another. The characters and their stories draw you into their worlds, some are dealing with traumas of life events which are very relatable to a lot of people. The series is focused on a women only gym – what’s not to like about a lovely martial arts instructor, ok I have a favourite in Logan and her back story lol! What resonates is the strong sense of community and ownership amongst the women who become part of the gym. A great read which I have recommended to friends
Great story, very sexy, but also there were moments that I was questioning, towards the end, where I thought it didn't really make sense, nor were they particularly realistic. Still well done, though.
Sappy never thought she was worth being loved. Maura, a wealthy women took advantage of that. She called on her when she wanted someone play with and Sapphy had to dropped everything in that second to meet with her.
Sapphy's dream was to open a gym; train women in various defense and relaxation techniques. She showed her vision and the location to Maura. She agreed to loan Sapphy the money as long as she met Maura's two terms: 1. Pay the loan in full within 2 yrs. 2. Be at Maura's beck n call.
The gym was for women and female youth.
Sapphy broke a part of her contract with Maura. Like a child having a tantrum she told Sapphy, she now had only 6 mths to pay off the loan.
Sapphy's group of friends had a great idea; a way to save the gym, but when it's down to the wire they came up short.
Read this great story and see what happens next.
Watch Sapphy as she learns a lesson in self worth; rectifying the mistake in judgement she made because of self perception.
Having the people that care and have faith in you; along with the willingness to support you whatever the outcome may be, can restore ones confidence. It gives one the strength to stand up for what is right even if it means losing your dream.
Another good read from this author. Once I started reading I was hooked. I loved Sapphy and Esha. I am not much of a fan of age-gap but I did enjoy this one. Maura, on the other hand was a first class bitch. I took an instant dislike to her from the beginning.
My only criticism is the amount of errors. Sometimes there were extra words that weren't needed in a sentence and other times there are words missing.
Honestly, THIS is what I was waiting for in this series. Sapphy's story. The first two books take place at Sapphy's gym and I wanted to know MORE about her. This book is just so lovely and the writing really reflects Sapphy and Esha's relationship. Sweet words, sensual scenes and a gorgeous age gap romance, the writing shows all of this so well and doesn't disappoint. Of course, I was left holding my breath in some places, waiting to see how it played out.
On the Ropes is the third book in The Stonger You series, and is definitely my favourite. I really like the chemistry between Sapphy and Esha and how Esha supports Sapphy in everything she does. And of course the awesome women from the first two books are in this one, so it makes the story even better! Worth the read for sure.
I enjoyed the previous parts of the series. There is a long term sexual abuse/exploitation against one of the MC's (at least in my book it is considered as such), which made me uncomfortable . Around 40% I choose not to finish the book. Probably because I wasn't on the same page with the choice of this MC.
This book sucks you in and won't let you go. This group of women are the epitome of good, healthy relationships. Ruby Scott writes a wonderful , empowering story with dialogue that highlights the strong bonds between emotionally stable women. Well done!
Wow another amazing storyline it pulls you into their world and your routing for them to stay strong and be together their love holds strong congratulations
I love this story. The previous stories in this series were very good. This story to me is the best in the series. There are nice love scenes with a happy ending.
OK, so this is Sapphy's story, the owner of the gym. Funny how Esha, nor yoga, get mentioned in the previous 2 books. This one also (as the 2nd one in the series) has a lot of editing errors.
