This is a well-written, entertaining, fast paced, steamy, romantic suspense novel. It is a real page turner with with likable, engaging characters, a down to earth female protagonist who is a brilliant surgeon, an intelligent, courageous male protagonist, a heart-warming romance, mystery, intrigue, wit, a touch of humor, and a happily ever after ending. It is the second entry in Ms. Rowe's outstanding "Trapped with Him" series and can be read as a stand alone.

This story took me by surprise. It was packed with humor as well as romantic suspense. It's a real fish out of water, Cinderella story about a trauma surgeon on vacation to discover her roots, and a prince who's tracking terrorists. It was absolutely delightful. Dr. Anna is intelligent, skilled, compassionate and filled with grit & grim determination with very little filter for her mouth. Zar is a handsome, capable & caring man who's unused to having anyone be their true self with him.

Dr. Anna Brown has had a really tough year after beating cancer and losing her beloved Grandma. Her Grandma helped raise her after her mother died when she was 12. She would tell her these amazing stories from her youth hiding soldiers & Jews during WWII. That's how she met and fell in love with Anna's Grandpa who died before they could escape to America. Anna is on her way to Lerasia to discover if her Grandmother's stories were true and if there is any family left. While running to catch her train in Lyon it blows up before she can board. She's picked up off the floor by a really gorgeous man she made eye contact just before the explosion. It's Prince Zarius Valentin who's there trying to catch terrorists wrecking havoc in his country. This begins the teamwork between Anna & Zar helping people and tracking terrorists. When the media takes pictures of them together he convinces her to play the role of his girlfriend for the week she's in his country to provide him cover to keep searching for the terrorists. What develops is a delightful story of a woman who at the start has no knowledge that he's a prince, and he being fascinated by a woman who goes out of her way to help others.

Trapped With The Undercover Prince starts off with a bang (quite literally) and the action and suspense doesn't stop after that. It's heart-pounding, breathtaking, and life-threatening. So much is at stake as Zar and Anna get blown up repeatedly.

I'm so glad I read this book. I can't even begin to express how much I enjoyed this book from the very first word. I think I read the entire book with a grin on my face and joy in my heart. I have a tendency to check my reading progress repeatedly when I'm reading something that's not quite engaging me entirely and there was none of that with this one. I blew through it a little too fast as I was drawn into what was happening and got caught up in the story. That's exactly what an excellent book should do to a reader.

And Zar and Anna. It's been a long time since I've loved two characters as much as I love them. OMG! Anna is wonderful. I'm tough on heroines and I always expect more from them than I do the heroes. I know it's terribly biased of me, but it is what it is. Anna brought me so much joy as a character and she fast became one of my most loved heroines. Everything about her is incredible. She's smart, competent, compassionate, but at the same time, sweet and unassuming. She has a humility to her that is so genuine and so selfless. She puts everyone ahead of herself even in the difficult circumstances she finds herself in. Her resilience and fortitude can only be admired.

Zar is amazing too. He epitomizes everything a prince should be. Kind, generous, charming, passionate. Also caring, tender, but determined and focused. He's my favorite type of hero. Someone who puts others ahead of himself but at the same time is not afraid to capture moments of joy and happiness when they come his way. I loved how happy he was with Anna and how much he cared for her. I loved that he was all in from the first moment, that he trusted her and believed in her, and did everything he could to support and protect her. I even loved the brief moment of jealousy and possessiveness when the thought of Anna being with someone else other than him. *happy romantic sighs*

I loved the suspense and action in the story. Ms Rowe really knows how to get the adrenalin pumping, but this time, it's the romance and connection between Zar and Anna that kept me going. Sure I wanted to know who the bad guys were and wanted them caught, but more than anything I lived for moments with Zar and Anna and seeing them together made my heart happy.

My only niggle with this story is that the suspense plot felt a little unfinished even though Zar and Anna got their happy ever after. I would have liked to have known what happened to the terrorists.

Even though this is the second book in the series, it can be read entirely as a standalone book. I hope there will be more books in the series because I can't wait to read more.

This is my second book by Julie Rowe. She writes so effortlessly that I don't want to stop reading. There's so much action from the very beginning and it doesn't stop til the very end. This story is about Anna and Zar. She has traveled to the small country of Lerasia in search of her heritage on her mother's side. He is the Prince of Lerasia and trying to find out who is committing terrorist attacks on his country, specifically trying to kill him. Their story is very fast paced and intriguing. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read more from this author!

What a story. Dr Anna Brown finds out information from her grandmother about her past. When she goes there, unfortunately there is more danger than expected. Totally intriguing to the end.

I love this author's romantic suspense so much! This is the second book in the series, but they are completely standalone.

Dr. Anna Brown is a trauma surgeon from Boston, visiting the small European country of Lerasia to investigate her family's lineage. Her grandmother used to tell her unbelievable stories of her youth there, and Anna would love to find out if any of them are true. But, on her first day of travel, heading for the train that would take her from France to Lerasia, there's an explosion. She finds herself in the thick of things, helping injured people. She meets a policeman who was there investigating, as this was not the first bombing of this type. He helps translate for her, and helps her to rescue injured people. But he is more than he appears, and before Anna can catch her breath, she's wrapped up with him beyond what she could have anticipated.

Prince Zarius Valentin of Lerasia is trying to find the extremist group threatening his country and its citizens with these bombings. When the bomb on the train blows before they can find it, he's furious. He doesn't expect to meet a beautiful American doctor helping the injured. He's drawn to her in a way he's never been to anyone, but he has so much on his plate. But, when the press gets wind of their "romance", he needs Anna's help to perpetuate the lie, to cover his ongoing investigation.

Zar and Anna had an instant connection, even amongst the wild circumstances in which they met. They were so compatible, and I loved watching their connection grow. Also, Zar was GONE for Anna from the first, and I love a hero who is all in from the start. Anna needed a little more convincing, even though she was so into him too. She just didn't see how things could work between them for any real length of time.

Since the story focused on the suspense element quite a bit, there weren't a ton of important interactions with side characters, but Zar's mother, grandmother, and sisters were amazing. I loved what we got to know of them, and I wish it could've been even more! Some of Zar's friends and employees were fun too!

There were a lot of suspense elements to the story, of course, which kept things exciting, and moved the plot along quickly. This author loves to blow up her characters! I still remember the first book I read of hers, Viable Threat (still my favorite!) and how often the poor characters got blown up in it, so it cracked me up a bit when it was happening in this book as well. But, there were also other side plots, and character histories, that ultimately affected the characters' journey.

I really enjoyed this story, and the whirlwind romance between Anna and Zar! They were perfect for each other, and I adored watching them figure it out. I'll be anxiously awaiting whatever is next from the author!

I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This review is my personal opinion, voluntarily given.

What a fantastic book!!

Anna Brown is a trauma surgeon who, when the book opens, is visiting the country of Lerasia. Her grandmother, who raised her after her mother died, was from this country and had told Anna lots of stories about her part in the resistance. Anna is taking a week’s vacation to learn more about her grandmother, and to see if she has any family still living there.

Anna is a very strong, courageous and independent woman. She has devoted her life to saving people who have serious injuries and are often very close to death. Anna thinks nothing of putting her own life in danger. When Anna meets Prince Zar she finds him handsome and very nice, but she is not impressed by his title. She treats him as she would treat anyone else.

Prince Zar is part of Lerasia’s royal family and is every woman’s dream man. He is not scared off by Anna’s strong personality. Instead, Zar supports her in everything she does. He is always very open and honest about his feelings toward Anna. Zar highly respects her intelligence and courage. He is a good man who has devoted his life to his country and his people. Zar, too, is very brave. In this story, he often runs into dangerous situations and does not worry about his own life.

The story opens when the train that both Zar and Anna are traveling on explodes from a bomb that was planted on the train. The author skillfully portrays the scene where the train derails and fire takes over the entire area. The picture she Ms. Rowe paints is so realistic that I actually felt as if I were on the train with them!

Throughout the book, Zar and Anna work together to find the man who is trying to kill him. Also, Anna helps the medical personnel at the local hospital save the life of a very young boy who was hurt when in the train wreck. And while they are doing all of this, Zar and Anna are very obviously falling in love with each other.

This is a fast paced page-turner that is filled with lots of action and suspense!

Trapped with the Undercover Prince by Julie Rowe

**I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for a voluntary and hones review. My opinions are my own and not solicited in any way**

I completely devoured this book in just one day because I just had to find out what happened next. I'm a big fan of Ms. Rowe's Outbreak Task Force series and this book has everything and more. I give this book all five stars and wish I could give more. This has suspense everywhere and wonderful characters that you'll fall in love with.

Dr. Anna Brown is in France and heading to Lerasia to research her grandmother's genealogy and she never expects to have a bomb explode at the train station. Anna doesn't hesitate to jump right in helping the injured even assisting on a surgery to save someone's life. When she meets a Zar who knows of previous explosions due to unrest in the country but when he shows up offering a place to stay she knows somehow that Zar may be more than he seems. There will be more incidents and Anna will again offer her surgical skills but nothing will compare to who he is and how he'll help with her genealogy.

Prince Zarius Valentin knows a extremist groups has set the most recent bomb but he never expects to meet Dr. Anna Brown who doesn't hesitate to help the injured. But he knows there's something special about her even when another blast occurs on the way to Lerasia and she again helps out a young boy severely injured. But when his staff eliminate suspects and discover it could be someone they know he'll do anything to keep his family and Anna safe. But can he convince her to stay with him forever even after she tells him her secret?

Julie's books have been an automatic buy for me since I first started Viable Threat! Her stories never fail to deliver on heart-pounding action and steamy romance that always makes me want to swoon. Trapped with the Undercover Prince is no different. The romance between Anna and Zar is immediate - so for those of you who don't like an instant connection, this may not be your cup of tea, but for me, I adored it! Watching them work together through their multiple near-death encounters was a pleasure while the actual incidents in the story were enticing and fun to watch unfold. There was a new threat around every corner and I gobbled up this story in an afternoon because I just couldn't put it down. Though we see the side characters a little more fleetingly than in some of her other stories, Zar's family were standout in this book and I hope that they either get their own stories or show up again as they were a hoot!

I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Anna had no idea what she was in for when she arrived in Lerasia to research her family's history and evaluate her future. Yet, minutes after arriving she is assisting a handsome stranger to rescue injured victims from a train explosion.

Prince Zarius Valentin is undercover assisting the Royal Guard to track down a group of terrorists setting off bombs in his small country in an attempt to kill the royal family. When the kind-hearted Dr. Anna is traumatised after being caught in the dangerous events, his concern leads his countrymen to think they are engaged, stirring up a whole new drama among his family.

As feelings quickly develop between Zar and Anna they will struggle to save innocent bystanders when one explosion after another continues to threaten his country and his family struggles to accept his feelings for a foreigner. In the midst of it all the twists and turns just keep coming, and now Anna appears to be caught in the middle.

Dr. Anna Brown went to Lerasia to find her roots and to see if her grandmother's stories were true. She met Prince Zarius who she initially thought works for the law enforcement. Anna and Zar were thrust into each other's orbit due to the attempts on the prince's life and Anna's willingness to help. The beginning was explosive and I was hooked on the story right away. The characters were likeable. The story was interesting and engaging. There was no dull moment for me. I like that the female character was written as strong and equally capable. I enjoyed reading this story. Trapped with the Undercover Prince is the second book in the Trapped With Him series and I am looking forward to the next story.

A really cute, steamy read. When researching her unknown family history Anna gets sweeped up in a terrorist attack, as a Dr she did her best to help the injured around her. She catches the eye of Zar, who unbeknownst to her is the crown prince. As Zar tries to uncover the culprit of not one but two attacks Anna is helping him with his cover by pretending to be his girlfriend. Until they are not pretending any more.
I really good quick read. I'm not usually into the whole prince trope unless it's a fantasy, but this romantic suspense was a really nice read.

This was such a fun and engaging read, full of suspense, humour and a fabulous connection between the main characters. Their chemistry just sparked :) Of course, there's a mystery to be solved, all while not getting blown up, and really, what ends up as a whirl wind romance. These two were perfect for each other and I loved the histories revealed, giving this story great depth. Once again, I've been taken on a wonderful reading ride and cannot wait to see what's next from this author. Good fun!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. Anna and Zar’s story was full of all thing’s. They fell for each other from the start after the first tragedy and the more trauma they dealt with together the harder they fell for each other. I’m happy they were able to have their happy ever after. I hope there are more stories about this family.

I really enjoyed this book. It's romantic suspense, with the suspense really making it a page-turner but the romance is perfect! I couldn't put the book down and loved the characters, especially Zar and Anna. The book plays with the prince trope and Anna is a trauma surgeon on vacation. The scenes between these two have suspenseful moments, but plenty of humor, too. The story left me feeling good! This is the kind of book hangover you want:)

What a cute HEA story! Anna goes on vacation to research her family history and get involved in a series of terrorist events. She meets the head of the police group, the Prince of the country, trying to stop the threat and falls in love.

Solid characters, a female lead who helps others and wins the Prince’s heart. I’m definitely going to read the rest of this series.

Good story with lots of suspense, danger and heat. Dr Anna Brown is a clever heroine. Prince and Anna save each others’ lives a few times and their reunion and HEA are well done, if not too quick.
I liked the story, the pace and the humour. Will read more of this series.

This was really enjoyable. I liked how Anna was so confident in herself. I did relate to her inability to accept praise. I really liked the things that Zar found enticing about Anna that weren't her looks. I thought they were good together. Listened to each other.

**Honest Review for Copy of the Book**

Started before bed wanting to just do one maybe two chapters. After some time I looked up and the sun was coming up, but the book was done.

A page-turner from the start Julie Rowe does not disappoint. Fast-paced to the point that I even feel exhausted, but wanting to continue to find out what happens next.

Well done JR!!
