Saltwater Memories, book six in the Westcott Bay series, is a sweet, wholesome, sometimes funny, sometimes suspenseful, and always inspirational romantic women’s fiction read. It features a heroine who can’t abide a mystery, and a hero who is more mysterious than even he realizes.
Amelia Addler is an author of feel-good romantic women's fiction stories. Her books focus on the importance of family, love and hope - all intermingled with romance and mystery. Her popular Westcott Bay series takes place on beautiful San Juan Island, just off the coast of Washington State, and offers an escape for readers and arm-chair travelers alike.
Amelia lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and little dog. When she's not writing, she's busy plotting trips to San Juan Island to see the killer whales, or explaining to people on hikes that her dog is not, in fact, a coyote.

Another great book in this Westcott Bay series. Made for a wonderful summer read. I really enjoy reading about this family and their many antics. Onto the final book in the series. Can't wait to see what Mike is up to.
Jej osobista historia przebiega jednak zgodnie z konwencją serii. Ale pod względem tempa i zwrotów akcji jest to całkiem interesująca powieść.
Amanda is now living in Westcott Bay, commuting to the city to work when she needs to. She needed a fresh start after breaking up with her boyfriend. Life is good, she loves living by her family and has no idea that when she accidently meets a man, her life is about to change.
Will is ambitious and is willing to do anything to keep his new job. He is managing properties for some high-profile clients and is moving to Westcott Bay. What he does not know is just who those clients are and how it will impact his life. When he runs into a feisty woman, he also has no idea what is coming.
This novel by Amelia Addler has it all. Romance, suspense, humor, all set in a beautiful small town. The story is light, yet the element of a mystery is an added bonus. I have enjoyed this series and was excited to read Amanda’s story along with catching up with the other characters from previous novels. If you are reading this as a stand alone novel, Amelia does an excellent job of catching you up on the backstory from previous books, but trust me, you will want to read the whole series. I am already excited about the next story! My thanks to Amelia Addler for an advanced reader copy and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
Saltwater Memories: Westcott Bay Book 6 is by Amelia Addler. This series is getting close to the end, so it is important to enjoy the final books very carefully. The action is intense in this book. Amanda, Chief Hanks daughter, is living in her childhood home with Morgan and Jade. It works for them right now and keeps the girls from being alone which works for their parents. Amanda is working for the same ad agency as before and still sending emails to her boss from the island on the days she doesn’t go into Seattle. Her boss is eccentric and mean. She insists Amanda come in for this conference, then she sends her out of the meeting to a Deli for a specific salad for her lunch. In the deli, she runs into Will Hardding and spills coffee on him. Later that day, she accuses him for stalking her when he confronts her on the ferry to the island. Will forks for DGG on a fortune investment company and one of those he works for is Lenny, the same Lenny who Amanda pepper=sprayed earlier. Now she has to decide whether or not to tell him about Lenny or leave it alone. How will she get out of this mess
This was another cute addition to the series, but for me, it's run it's course. I'm done. I've enjoyed myself. I've seen all that I've came to seen, but it's gotten repetitive at this point. It's time to move on to something else. Overall, I have enjoyed these. It's just taken it's natural course.
It's summertime and just the right time to read Saltwater Memories (Wescott Bay #6). I've read all in this series & was so glad to see my favorite characters back for a new chapter in their life on San Juan Island. I've been fortunate to travel a lot in the past, but never to Washington state or San Juan Islands. Reading Amelia Addler's descriptions of the ferry and all the quaint spots there at Friday Harbor is as close as I can get. This series is an easy read with no foul language, no blood & gore, no graphic sex. That is not to say their adventures are boring. There's always a focus on a particular family member and a new mystery to solve. Morgan, still dealing with the death of her Mother, is nosing around because she thinks someone is up to no good. Hank is the Island's Chief of police, Margie, his wife, has a renovated barn they rent for events, and Mike's retired FBI, There are sisters, boyfriends, new romance, new characters, business to run, family drama, memories galore. This book made me laugh & cry, it was a much needed breath of fresh Puget sound air.
This book in this series that follows Margie and her adult children as they settle into a new life on San Juan Island helps us to know Amanda better. Amanda is Margie's stepdaughter and her father is the sheriff, Margie's new husband, Hank. She has been in London but moved back to the US after a breakup with her boyfriend and to help Margie & Hank recover from an accident. Amber is a strong and independent young woman who is still not over the death of her mother. She meets Will, a property developer who takes an immediate interest in Amanda although Amanda is not ready to move on, especially after her ex-boyfriend reappears. Amanda finds out the company that Will works for has some connection to a person from a prior book, Lenny, who seems to have mafia connections. Amanda is a bit gruff and silly at times but Will is a gem of a person. The book also reintroduces Mike, Margie's brother and undercover FBI agent and sets up the final book in the series. No sex or profanity.
I enjoy this series and had read the first several in the series back to back. I went back to review when I started reading this one. Amanda has moved from London back to San Juan. Will, a property manager, had been talking to Lenny, the mafia guy Amanda had tasered previously and she is curious what their relationship is. Her ex from London comes to Seattle but is no more ready to make a commitment. Mike has retired from the FBI but still has unfinished business with the mob. Will Amanda get back with her London boyfriend or is Will the one she didn't realize she was waiting for? Wish book 7 was coming out sooner!
Amanda may have a second chance with Rupert. Should she take it? Amanda accidentally spills a cup of coffee on a stranger at a Deli while trying to hide from Lenny. The mobster that she had tased on San Juan Island when he broke into her step-mom’s house. She then runs into the handsome stranger on the ferry heading back to San Juan Island. His name is Will. Could he be a good match for Amanda?
This series is getting better. I still like Morgan the best. One thing that's hard for me are the way the women (except Morgan) are so hard on themselves and don't know their worth. They are smart but when it comes to guys, they overlook the signs and let the guys mistreat them emotionally. I guess that's what a lot of people do. I am glad they do end up putting an end to the bad relationship and chose the good guy!
Saltwater Memories is the book to read it you love chance meetings, engagement announcements, second chance love snuffed out, blooming new love, new opportunities, and the return of the mafia on San Juan Island with chance of a possible hit. This story will keep you turning pages as you ride the wildest, dangerous ride not knowing what lies behind the next curve.
Amanda is suffering from a breakup with Rupert when he shows up again. Love is in the air! But all is not working right because someone else has started capturing her heart! Then Lenny her taser victim is up to his old tricks and must be stopped. This is a good read, wholesome and clean. Let’s all root for Amanda and Will as they learn to love each other.
In this story we follow Amanda as she finds someone who sparks her interest. There is a mystery to investigate and some danger. I enjoyed this entertaining romance and getting to catch up with some of the characters of the town. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another very sweet one with two people finding their way to love and dreams.
There’s also some drama with a retired FBI agent seeking to find the truth of what is behind some dilapidated properties that may be a front for the mob.
Another good book in this series although I am getting tired of the mafia storyline. I know we have to have a story for Uncle Mike but can't we just find him a woman or a different job? I always hated spy and mob stories. And to keep them going through three books! Please go back to wedding dramas, anniversary dramas etc. Still a good read but tie up the mafia story.
Saltwater Memories is a sweet, entertaining romance with some intrigue. While primarily Amanda's story, most of the recurring characters in her extended family make an appearance as do a property developer and Amanda's ex. In this well written book Amanda who stands up for everyone else will have to learn to stand up for herself if she hopes to get to her happily ever after. I love all the books in this series and am eager looking forward to the next one.
This one was a little harder for me than the rest of the series but well worth it. Some people take longer to work through what may seem obvious to people around them. Thanks!
It kept me wanting to read just a little bet more . I’m not a reader most of the time .when books keep going one after the other , wow , you can wait for the next book . Thank you ,great book
I thoroughly enjoyed all the characters and the storyline that continued through the entire series! Thanks so much for a great read looking forward to other reader finds this author has❣️
Another amazing read from one of my favourite authors. Lovely to read about Amanda and the rest if the family, dealing with mafioso Lenny. Niw reading the next in the series with retired Mike from FBI. Hoping he will deal with Lenny....
Another book in the Westcott Bay series this time focusing on Amanda. This time the author adds a little mystery about mob activities on the island. A quick read on a snow filled night bundled up in a cozy chair with a warm drink on hand.
I enjoyed this book as much as all of the others in the series. This author is wonderful at intrigue and romance and weaving them into an all consuming story.
This is such a touching and beautiful series. I love how each family member gets their own story. It is an easy and very enjoyable read. Definitely recommend!
