When a new feature on Pete Newbury’s popular TV programme shows his adult image digitally transformed to that of a young child, Beth is shocked to realize that he’s her ‘baby’ brother, who vanished without trace thirty-eight years ago. But bringing their family back together after so much heartache isn’t going to be easy, and she may lose the man she loves in the process . . . .

Anna reads 3 novels a week. Happy reading, everyone.
Delightfully comfortable and homely style which is very soothing, good plot and well controlled development. Anna Jacobs always pleases and confirms she is a storyteller who gives the reader the feeling that the world can be a nice place when people are good, kind and compassionate towards each other. This is not what might be called great literature, but it gentles the soul and uplifts - well done, Anna Jacobs.
I have read her books on and off over the years ,but this book is just a feel good book ,l felt that l had known the characters for ever. I would love to read about them ,after they had all been together for a few years.please write notebook about them.
Very easy read, enjoyed getting to know the characters. Had a feel of light romantic fiction, in guessing similar to a mills and boon, not too discredit the book I really enjoyed it Didn't feel the ending was that realistic🤣 ❤️
Excellent book though not as good as some of hers. I’m not going to give the story away but think it could have had more depth but having said that did enjoy it
Another Brilliant read from Anna Jacobs. Well Anna Jacobs does it again for me with this very unusual story, which held me from the beginning to the end. When the end came I felt that it was to soon. This would make a lovely mini TV series to my way of thinking. A five star read from me and Anna Jacobs keep those lovely stories coming.
I've read many Anna Jacobs historical novels and loved them all. Now that I've read In Focus I'm asking myself why I took so long to read a modern Anna Jacobs novel. I loved this book. It's down to earth yet full of the twists and turns that make for good reading and still remain gentle to the senses. Most of all it has a beautiful flowing style, writing that gallops ahead and pulls refusing to release us. We're trapped In Focus until well after the last page. It has Anna Jacobs written all over it. I'm becoming quite a fan. Five stars.
This was an entertaining and uplifting book. It's heroine is a woman whose brother was missing and believed kidnapped and whose daughter ran away at 16. It is mainly a romance with some mystery involved.
A lovely and heart-warming story about closure. There is a lot of emotion and it's well crafted. A story about relationships and how an action can have consequences for a lifetime.
I have enjoyed Anna Jacob;s historical novels, but this modern day setting is much more original and less stereotyped than her period romances. A study in relationships with characters that I could believe in - and I was kept engrossed. to the end.
