My job was to clean up his reputation and find him a wife.
It was supposed to be easy, but nothing about Prince Aramis was ever easy.
I was about to throw in the towel when he came up with a solution: I'd be his pretend girlfriend. Forget the fact that I was sort of seeing someone, or that I had no interest in joining the royal family. Once Aramis sets his eyes on something, there's no use in fighting him on it, besides, in a way it would make my job a little easier.
I accept the offer but set boundaries. Boundaries that Aramis is intent on testing. Before either of us know what's happening, the lines start to blur and I can no longer tell the difference between pretend and reality.
My job on the line is one thing, but losing my heart to Aramis was never in the cards.

Falling for a member of the royal family would be stupid, falling for my boss would be disastrous.
I was so excited to get to Wicked Prince. This one can definitely be read as a stand-alone, but if you’ve read ‘The Sinful King’, you’ve met Prince Aramis. He’s a bit of a playboy and a lot of fun. But it’s time for him to settle down. And there is only one person he wants.
Joslyn is best friends with Aramis’s sister in law and sister. She works for him, yes, but she’s been a friend and friend of the family for a long time. Joslyn and Aramis have a love/hate relationship going on. They’re friends in a way, too.
Joslyn is tasked to find a girlfriend for Aramis, but he makes it impossible for her. He wants her to be his. Even if it’s fake and just for show. She agrees, but then there are all of these feelings between the two of them. Gah! I loved them together so much.
This book had so many things I loved. Fake dating, frienemies to lovers, a single parent which was woven into the storyline seamlessly. If you’re a fan of royal romances or any of these troupes above, I highly recommend checking this one out! It was sweet, steamy, and a lot of fun!
The Wicked Prince was a quick read with a dash of the Royal settings mixed in with a bit of drama. This is the third book in the series and it’s the story of Prince Aramis and Joselyn and their journey to a happily ever after.
Having history with someone can be a good thing in certain cases but for Aramis and Joselyn, they have a hate/hate/tolerate dynamic. As the years flew by, their relationship has only gotten more out of hand along with their witty banter. But when a public issue raises concern about Aramis reputation, Joselyn becomes the one to fix it and that leads to a change in their relationship that they never saw coming.
This was my first time reading any of the books in the series and even though it’s a standalone, I felt like I was missing something still. I’m not sure if it was because of that or the fact that the story itself was short and certain things felt unanswered. Either way, I wanted more from the story and the characters.
Joslyn is the personal secretary for the royal family. She's also best friends with the Princess and the young Queen. And she's also been in love with Prince Aramis since long before he de-virginized her over 10 years ago. Now the former Queen needs her son to get married to stop the constant scandals in the press. Joss is supposed to present Aramis with a list of eligible ladies. But Aramis doesn't want them. He wants Joslyn. He's always wanted her. But she hates him, right? And a Royal can't fall for the 'help', right?
LET THE FUN TIMES BEGIN .... ☺
What will happen to Joss & Aramis? Will there be a HEA? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT!

Adorable! A cute little royal romance.
Aramis hasn't been the same since his car accident but he's too shy or embarrassed to show it on the outside. And Joss still thinks he's the playboy he's always been. Ugh, those two. But the reader has a great time watching them fighting for their happy end.
This was a really adorable little fairy tale with lots of funny and heartbreaking and sexy moments. And some frustrating royal moments thrown in. ☺
I really enjoyed reading this. It could've been a little bit longer and more detailed, but it was a really cute read.
THE WICKED PRINCE was an adorable and sexy little royal love story! ☺ Run to your nearest amazon for your own ARAMIS - this one is MINE!
"The Wicked Prince" is a royal romance with a lot of angst but also funny moments because of which I couldn't drop the book and in the end, I was a little sad it wasn’t a little longer.
If you're looking for a royal romance and you also loved the previous books from the "Naughty Royals" series, then this is the book for you!!!
Aramis was completely unexpected. His story was light and fun, and I really loved that he was the opposite of what I expected him to be. This fake relationship romance was a great ending to the standalone royal romance series.
This was a quick listen. I loved some aspects of the relationship between Joss and Aramis, but wasn’t quite there with the feels. Hated the unexpected baby mama drama and the lack of communication between both main characters. If you haven’t read any books in this series try Sinful King first, I adored that one.
Aramis has always acted like he didn't have feelings for Joslyn while Joslyn has always had feelings for Aramis. She's just gotten better at hiding them.
Aramis is the French Prince and quite the playboy, that is, until his car wreck where he was burned. It has caused him to be introspective and a lot of that has to do with Joslyn.
Joslyn is the secretary/assistant to Aramis' sister and currently helping him. His mother wants him to get married so she's having Joslyn come up with a list. Of course, none of them are good enough for Aramis.
Joslyn also has a boyfriend, however, Aramis is not deterred. He has his sights set on Joslyn and he always gets what he wants.
I quite enjoyed CC's take on a royal romance. The banter between Aramis and Joslyn was just the right amount of humor that was needed especially when a little "wrench" was thrown into the mix.
I loved how all the siblings and their partners all got along so well and how well they edged on both Aramis and Joslyn.
My main complaint is that I felt like we didn't get the full story. Maybe it was too much going on behind the scenes that threw me for a loop. That's when I started digging and found out that both of Aramis' siblings already have books out. This book wasn't linked to the series but now it is. (I hate when that happens!) Luckily, that just means I have two more books to read!
The time has come for Aramis to find a wife- even though it’s not his idea but the Crown’s he’s going to try to get himself out of it. In comes Joslyn, who has been tasked with getting a list of available aristocrats that are compatible to Aramis’s likes. Well, that is one thing that Aramis is not ready for so he creates a plan to appease the Crown but that will also dash the hope of those who believe they can change him and become the next princess.
I will say that I was very skeptical that his plan would work but it worked on getting Aramis to see that the one that was meant to be his princess was under his very nose he was just to blind to see it. Then there’s the……well you’ll have to click to find out what I’m talking about. A low drama yet it kept me captivated to see how it would work out especially when those surprises make an appearance. Kara~ 4.5 Stars
The Wicked Prince was a great ending to this Royal family world that Claire Contreras created. While you could read this book as a standalone, you will want to read the previous books to find out more about Aramis' siblings. At least The Naughty Princess.
Aramis has been the habitual partying bachelor for so long. When the Queen Mother assigns Josyln to come up with some suitable prospects, what will Aramis do?? Is he ready to settle down or will he come up with some other ploy to satisfy his mother? I absolutely loved Aramis in this book. He had experienced something recently in his past that may have changed him, but he also was just coming back to his old self. Then he was hit something no one was expecting and it flipped what his future held. He was unexpected in so many ways, but still his cocky self.
"Baby, I am The Crown. Let me worry about the consequences."
Then there is Joslyn. She has been with the Royal family for quite some time now and she is friends with the Queen and also the Princess. She is almost like family, but the Queen Mother doesn't seem to like the fact that she's so close to everyone. Least of all, her son Prince Aramis. Luckily, they hate each other so there should be nothing to worry about, right? But the verbal sparring between Joslyn and Aramis is pure catnip!
"You call that arguing?" He smiled. "I call it foreplay." My heart skipped. "I prefer my foreplay to be a little more physical." "I can arrange that."
If that doesn't put a smirk on your face and excited to see what will explode between these two, then I don't know what will. But this royal romance with a bit of enemies to lovers/friends to lovers/workplace romance with a dose of forbidden? Count me in. They have a past that is obvious and all the supporting characters add to their story. It's a quick read that will have you laughing one minute and fanning yourself the next. These two are explosive and fun and I adore the whole family.
Lured in by a gorgeous cover and a trope I love, once again. I expected a lot more from this author, I'll tell you that. This was... not good. Not good at all. The book is only about 160 pages long, and this couple's past is WAY too complicated to unravel in that amount of time, so this just ended up feeling like EVERY SINGLE cliché you can imagine. Essentially, this playboy has spent years banging every available woman, but now that an accident has caused him to take a second look at his life, he wants the woman he tossed aside, who watched it all from the sidelines. And she says yes! Just... ugh. So much ugh.
The story follows Aramis, a playboy prince who was in a car accident several months ago. While he used to party and sleep around, the accident has left him with scars - both emotional and physical. So when his family decides it's time for him to clean up his act and settle down, the only woman he can think of is Joslyn. Ten years ago, Joslyn fell for Aramis' charms, but she's spent the years since watching him play up his playboy image. When he asks her for a "fake" relationship, Joslyn is hesitant - because she knows she could easily be charmed again. And when Aramis decides he wants things to be real, Joslyn doesn't stand a chance.
I literally cringed a few times. What woman doesn't want the man who has treated her like garbage and seduced every other available woman in front of her? Who now has a kid he never knew about - because, yes, that tired cliché is part of this story too. He also gets jealous of her boyfriend and there's some drama with his baby mama, because, obviously, every stereotype needed to be included. This is an author whose work I've enjoyed in the past, so I thought this would be a solid read. There are parts of it that are soapy fun, with some decent banter and a playful tone. But the vast majority just didn't work. With another hundred pages, this MIGHT have been something good. There were moments when I really liked Aramis, and the vulnerability in his backstory is something that could've been played up to eliminate some of the cringe. But that didn't happen here, and the whole thing stayed surface level.
This felt really rushed with the romance as stale─ if not more ーthan that in book one. It's crammed with underdeveloped tropes and has an all-over-the-place plotline that just did not benefit the story in the slightest, ultimately making it a hot mess. It downright seemed like I was reading the rough draft and not the polished, beta'd version with how fragmentary this was.
I originally planned on giving this 2 stars, but on second thought, while perusing my mental list, I couldn't come up with a single element that I liked in it. 😬 So 1 star it is.
Okay there’s three reasons why I’m not finishing this
1. SECRET BABY TROPE ( the hero doesn’t know he has a baby from one of his past flings )
2. HE’S A PLAYBOY
3. Again with this trope I hate so much “ I’m in love with you but I can’t so in order to get you out of my mind i sleep around with any girl that I come in contact with “
The Wicked Prince é um livro curtinho que conta a história do Príncipe Aramis e Joslyn. Um livro divertido, doce que poderia ter sido um pouco mais explorado mas que me entreteu do começo ao fim.
What an amazing story to close the Royal family series, every story was fantastic and this one was the cherry on top to end it. Joslyn and Aramis's story was one I was looking forward to. This is a second chance fake relationship romance, I really wanted to see who would tame the wild partying Prince, and a fake relationship was not in my rather but I enjoyed it way too much. Definitely recommend reading the whole series.
Josyln’s job was supposed to be easy but nothing involving the Royals is easy. Prince Aramis is a perpetual party boy which has upset the Queen Mother. His mother asks Joslyn to find a suitable partner for the prince but he has other plans. Aramis wants her to be his fake girlfriend to take the heat off of himself however, this might create “heat” of another kind. Can these two really fake a courtship or will underlying feelings come through? What about when a little surprise pops up at his doorstep? Aramis is Elias’ brother from The Sinful King. These can be read as stand-alone books but they do intertwine. What a light hearted, sweet & feel good addition to the Royal romance genre. Aramis is a character and Joslyn is such a strong heroine making their interactions quite enjoyable. Told in dual POV
Now when I think about Prince Charming ... I think about Aramis! I have really enjoyed this series and was soooo looking forward to read Aramis’s story!
Aramis is a Prince but not a conventional one- he makes the headlines of the news, enjoys one night stands and live his life to the full until things had to change!
Joslyn is the secretary of Pilar and Aramis but was friends with the royal children before working for the crown. She has history with Aramis... but now they love to hate each other and their relationship is explosive.
Aramis needs to settle and find a girlfriend as per the Queen Mother’s request - who I really dislike for so many reasons -
Joslyn decides to help the Prince but things get complicated when feelings get in the way... and secrets and wounds from the past.
Can Joslyn get the fairy tale? Can Aramis be tamed?
I enjoyed reading their passionate story and it was so much fun to read about the other characters.
The Wicked Prince is a romantic read that will make you dream you were in Versailles living the fairy tale.
I was given an ARC for an honest review. This was probably the first traditional romance book of Claire's that I have read. It was a quick read. The story kept me turning the pages. Although I enjoyed this story I do wish there was a bit more to it. I wanted more background, more angst. I wanted the build between Aramis and Joss to take longer. That is not saying the story was not good or well written, because it was. I wouldn't have wanted to keep reading if it was not. This is one of those books that are the perfect read after on that tore you apart.
This book was almost painful to read. I wanted to give up so many times but I pushed through hoping it would get better since I love Conteras’ other work but no it’s a total dud. The characters were completely undeveloped and uninspiring. There was nothing to like or dislike about them, which is the kiss of death for a book in my opinion. Even the supporting characters were not interesting. There was no chemistry between the main characters, or their family. I just wish I wouldn’t have wasted my time. Read The Player instead!
The middle of the book was boring I kept skipping pages. Also the Oscar part was so random like it came out of nowhere and everyone acted like it was the most normal thing. I don't think they gave it the importance it deserved.
It’s been a while since I read The Sinful King, and I was excited to be back in this world again. The Wicked Prince was an entertaining read, where Joss and Aramis didn’t always get along.
Joss was a secretary to the royal family and was currently Aramis’ guardian, making sure that he was on the right track and improving his reputation in the royal family. Aramis was known as the bad boy of the family but had settled as of late due to an accident that happened prior to this book.
I liked that both Aramis and Joslyn had some history between them before their feelings for one another began to grow. I enjoyed their banter, and the little fake relationship they had was amusing as well. They both had genuine feelings for one another but were unsure if they were reciprocated. There was a twist thrown in, which made it interesting, but they both worked hard to find their happiness.
I enjoyed meeting others in the family, and how their lives were heading. I am curious about Pilar and Benjamin’s story, so I may have to pick that one up to see how these two got together. I really enjoy Contreras work, and can’t believe that it has taken me so long to get back into this world!
3.5 starts just bc the story felt rushed and something feels missing ab it but I love them and it’s a good series to read if u want to get out of a book slump since the chapters are short and the story is easy to comprehend and take
A swoony sexy read that was full of angst and laughter!
Aramis and Joslyn’s story was such a good read that it went so fast! I didn’t want it to end! Aramis is a cocky, broody prince but he knows what he wants and what he wants his Joslyn! She doesn’t stand a chance when he sets her in his sights! The back and forth is angsty and so glorious when things finally boil over!
One of the many reason why I love Claire’s books and her beautiful writing
I have loved every story in this series but this was the one I’ve been waiting for. And it did not disappoint! Aramis was such a wild untethered soul and I knew his story wouldn’t follow a straight line. It had so many dips and curves and I won’t lie, at times I wanted to reach in to my Kindle and smack some sense into him. But I also understood that this was the path he needed to follow in order to grow and evolve, even if he did drive me crazy sometimes.
Claire Contreras writes my favorite kind of female characters. Every one of them has a strong backbone and is never a doormat. And as much as I was looking forward to Aramis’ story, I was equally excited to learn more about Joslyn as well. She is the perfect counterpart to Aramis; matching his wit with her own.
This series has been so much fun to read. It’s the perfect mental vacation from the chaos and stress in the world!
5 WICKED PRINCE STARS!! This was like a treat you want to eat it slow and enjoy every bite, but you suck it down and mad when it is all gone. I devoured this Book in about 1 1/2 hours....it was so good. These two characters will touch your heart with all the feels.
