Now the world knows who I am. I’m the first female alpha in history and every pack leader out there wants to claim me as their mate. Including the Stormfire alpha who sent my life into a spiral after rejecting me. While he and the others fight for the right to possess me, a new Demon Trial is created in honor of the Crescent Mother, and this time I’m the prize. Or so they all believe. I’ll stop at nothing to reclaim my freedom even if it means entering the trials myself, where the only way out is death and ruin. But I don’t plan on dying. I plan on winning.
I’m going to make each of the alphas pay for what they did to me.
18+ Dark reverse harem romance full with a sassy and sarcastic heroine who finds her match.
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
Ok this was a pretty good storyline with the trials, got you ok? See the other packs. It didn’t lack adventure or anything else but the s3xy times was severely lacking no chemistry what so ever. Let’s hope The storyline is as good as this with more.
The plot moves along fine in the story, but there is a lot of telling instead of showing. Our heroine is still trying to pull off badass, but comes off more immature. Im hoping things pick up now, so will continue on to book three.

Review: Lilith Thornblood, is all ALPHA now and does not apologize for it. Her life has always been someone else's decision until she fled to the Stormfire pack and joined the trails (in book 1). Now that everyone knows who and what she is, she has to push even harder to make her Alpha-self that much better. The guys vying for her hand are Caspian (half demon/half wolf, his father a high lord demon); Alaric (full wolf Alpha of Rivermare pack); Alpha Mathi (her once pack alpha, now just Alpha a&&hole); Rizor (her once promised mate / refused her, tried to kill her several times and now wants her that he knows she is an Alpha) and his son Eziel (not a natural born alpha and abused by his father). However, they are a few more alpha-holes playing a side game she has to deal with. The love and sexual tension are throughout this book, more slow burn. But dang the cliffies that these books leave you on are no joke. Can not wait for book 3! 4.5/Stars & 3/Steam
Favorite line: “I’m not a secret anymore, and I’m not pretending to be one either. I’m an alpha female, and I can’t stand down. I can’t hide. And I won’t. This discussion is about my future, and I will attend”
Ok so either I don’t remember a lot from the first book or this second book omitted a lot of information. All of a sudden it seems like Lilith has a thing for three men and wants them all when I really only remember her having a crush on one, some intense moments with another, and like nothing but friendly feelings for a hot guy…… did I miss something? Cuz now all of a sudden she calls these three her lovers and wants to be with them forever. She’s only kissed them (2 in the first book and then the 3rd in this book) then finally has sex with one of them that’s destined to be her mate this whole time…….but what does that make the other two? The trials are a joke. One happened so fast I thought I had spaced out while reading cuz I couldn’t remember anything about it. Somehow during the trials there’s more wolves participating than there should be…..The ending….. a third of the alphas die and lava monsters surface and the demon lord is to blame…. I just, I have no clue what’s going on.
***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***
So I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it but for me this book just fell flat. There wasn't anything that kept me intrigued enough for a long enough time. I actually had to force myself to read this book. The writing itself was good, but for me something was missing from the story line.
I hate leaving negative reviews and I wouldn't call this negative. Its just not my normal "I loved this book" review. In no way does this review reflect the authors writing or the book itself.
I love the trials style storyline and all of the side characters that continue shine in this story. Lillith and her guys are so much fun to read about and I cannot wait to see how this series wraps up with the final book
The plot twists big time in book 2 in this series. Lilith being the first female Alpha makes her a commodity that everyone wants to claim. Only in this book they all have to go through a set of dangerous trials including Alaric (Lyulf), Caspian and Eziel. I liked how Lilith really grew in confidence. Even with everything happening to her she was still full of put downs and quick wit. Book 2 definitely up'd the action and the pace. Although there was very little steam in this book it was still a great read. With that ending I can't wait for the next book
I just don't get this book. It was all over the place when trying to build the world but it was chaotically written. There were large pieces missing when the author tries to connect book 1 & 2. Others felt the same way I do when it comes to the book feeling like the author had either a split personality or two different people wrote the story. The switching back and forth in part of the story from a paragraph to a chapter to the next was confusing and left you scratching your head wondering if you missed something. With the main female going from having a crush on 1 and then she all of sudden has the hots for 3 with really a less than sizzling sex life. There was no chemistry sexual or otherwise between the characters which makes for a really bad romance genre. There were just too many inconsistencies and generally read like a YA romance without the sexy. So much potential just left on the table with this series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was all over the place. The first book the characters are introduced and Lilith forms a bond with Caspian but are barely acquaintances with the other two guys. Then suddenly, in book two they are her mates? It just didn't flow well. I found myself wishing the book would be over. She's supposed to be an alpha but relies on everyone else to save her. I do mean everyone too. I kept thinking a barista at Starbucks would suddenly appear and save her because she was running out of people to help her since it had happened so many times. How can one person be so useless? It was mind boggling. The writing just felt inconsistent, rushed and reminded me of clothes you buy on Wish. It looks good in pictures but once you open the package it's junk. I won't be able to get through book three so I am going to skip it. I just need a story with more substance and this book wasn't it.
I can not even begin to understand what happened in this book. I've read G. Bailey before, this was not her. Having read many books by a variety of authors, I'm pretty sure this is my first 1-star review. Guys, if you were given an ARC of this and decided to leave a 5-star simply because you felt you must.... Seriously, you are NOT helping the author or authors in this case. This book should have never been published. There is zero plot, world building, and character building. There are gaping holes, not to mention the errors and absolute lack of give a crap to know which character is which from whoever wrote this. This story needs to be completely overhauled with editing. Grab your teams authors, if you don't have people on alpha or beta teams, you need them. If they let this fly, then they are not helping you. This is awful. Fix this mess!
You'll have a hard time putting it down to be productive!
10pm: One more chapter... 12am: One more chapter... 3:15am: One more chapter... Get up, and take the child to school. 9:10am: One more chapter!
Every chapter had me hooked! Things kept happening, and it was riveting enough that I couldn't put it down.
Lilith is growing stronger in strength, spirit, and will. She won't let others control her life, and she'll do whatever it takes to keep it her own. Thankfully, even after a sudden betrayal in the last book, she has a few friends and her men - whatever you want to call them at the moment - to have her back. The story itself is great, and I will be jumping into the third book right after this review!
NEGATIVES - The biggest problem: Inconsistency (*Minor spoilers ahead*)
Briefly, Lilith is trapped in a dungeon. I assumed she would remember that one of her rings didn't allow her to be trapped in any sort of cage, but it never came up. I'm curious as to why. I could understand if she was worried she'd just be put through worse if she was caught outside of the cage, but it's literally not brought up for some reason. Did the authors forget? Did Lilith?
Later on, Caspian tells Lilith that "it's always been her." In the previous book, however, he states in his mind that he hardly even noticed her when they were younger, that she was just his best friend's kid sister and that he "never even liked red heads." I understand that he was fighting the attraction when she first showed up on his door before going for the demon hunter trials, but that was recent, and certainly not "always." It just seemed like it wasn't consistent to the story. Perhaps I'm reading into it wrong, but it did stand out to me.
Another inconsistency was regarding her "fur baby," Dragon. Eziel tells Lilith in the previous book that Dragon is a female. In this book, Lilith refers to Dragon as "he" until Knight informs her when she's reunited with them in the Terraseeker pack that they've since learned that she's actually a female dragon. It seems the author(s) forgot they already touched up on this point.
These things don't really affect the story overall, but it does bug me a little that the authors take the time to write something once, then change it or forget about it later. It just affects the quality of the book a little bit, in my opinion.
Overall, it's a good story. Quality is just lacking a bit in parts, so 4/5 stars.
🔥 “I made my choice when we met and I looked into your eyes. I saw the brightest and most dangerous fire lurking there, and I will happily burn for you.” ~~~ Now everyone knows that Lilith is the first female alpha and wants her powers for themselves. And it’s time she proves how strong and badass she is. I absolutely loved Lilith! Despite being driven by revenge and her goal to win her freedom, she’s still caring and kind.
I really liked that we got to know Alaric, Caspian and Eziel a bit more. They are still badass and remain protective and supportive of Lilith. But I especially loved their secret hobbies.
I loved the trials - they were dangerous and kept me on the edge of my seat.
In addition, Knight was an absolute delight - he made me laugh so much.
Overall, the story is a fantastic read filled with action, danger, deadly trials, suspense, humor, a dash of steam and badass characters.
I loved it and with that cliffhanger ending I can’t wait for the third book!
It still kinda felt there was parts missing from this book and switched from multiple pov to only Lilith in this book. I don’t understand why Lilith was so upset with Alaric in the beginning he was honest with her that that was not his true identity and was unable to give his true one for safety reasons in the storm fire territory Lilith’s relationship with her guys felt like there was something missing it feels like the parts where their relationships deepen are missing from the book.
Some more thoughts: - Lilith is an alpha and was able to fight Caspian to enter the demon trials but not fight off Mathi? - does it not count as harming and spilling Lilith’s blood when alpha Eldridge slapped her and she spit out blood - if she was two points ahead in the trials how did the demon lord “win” by killing two of the other pack alphas? That was not even the next trial
This story could have had so much potential but it feels like too much of the story is missing and there are some major plot holes
Wow, what an interesting series so far. So we know that Lilith is awesome and can hold her own when she needs to, but it seems that the game is constantly changing. The stormfire alpha is not happy with the situation and you can tell. However, someone decided to throw a competition in this craziness. The winner gets Lilith! UM say what? Exactly what I said and then I was fist pumping because of what she did. So now we sit back and let things play out. It gets really intense at some points and funny in others. There are a lot of twist when reading but it kept me on the edge and turning the page to find out. It is definitely not easy for Lilith but she handles everything in stride. Then we get to the end and we get a wait what just happened! Yeah I was not thrilled about that cliffy because I was not ready to let go but hey it just means that book three should be epic. I cannot wait for the next book.
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
Oh, to be back into this world again was fantastic! I loved seeing all of my favorite characters of Lilith, Caspian, Eziel, and Alaric, along with Dragon and Knight. And I love how much Lilith has grown into the strong woman she is becoming! She is so kind and gentle, yet she is getting more fierce and independent the longer we get to know her.
I do think she is a bit more focused on her relationship with Alaric than the other 2 guys, so I hope that she gets to explore the other two relationships in future books. And I'm yearning to know what is going to happen next, after that crazy ending!
I think this is going to be one of my top favorite series by G. Bailey, and I definitely recommend it to all readers :)
Mine in Hell is the second book in the Rejected Mates series, and wow it's definitely a page turner.
Lilith has found out that the guy she's in love with has been lying to her and that he's really the Alpha to another pack. She's devastated... but then things get worse. She's brought in to meet all the other alphas who will compete in multiple challenges in order to win HER... and she is definitely not ok with that, so she enters herself into the mix.
Each of these challenges are hard and she's stuck staying 7 days with the Alpha hosting the event.
I don't want to give away everything that happens, but OMG!!! this book has a lot of action, romance, drama, etc. And she has feelings for the three guys from book 1. And the ending!!!!! Omg what a cliffy!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!
I was eagerly awaiting this sequel! The book was very entertaining, exciting and never boring. When I read that the alphas want to hold the so-called demon trails, I just thought: seriously? They can't be serious! I was all the more enthusiastic about Lilith's reaction and action. That made her my heroine! One of my favorite scenes was in Chapter 10, when we learned what the guilty pleasures of Lilith's three men are. My other favorite scene was in chapter 13 when Alaric suddenly felt drunk during the exam and - among other things - started singing loudly - that was really hilarious. The end, like in the first book, was a nerve-wracking cliffhanger and I can't wait for the third book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It is a very intense and interesting book. It is about an old prophesy of the Moon Goddess in creating the first female alpha. The reigning Alphas decide on a set of trials to determine who her mate will become. What they do not expect is for her to join the trials to win her freedom from all the male alphas and if she wins, to make her own Pack. Deceit from most of the Alphas is throughout the story. Lillith, is the name of the female Alpha, and she finds friends with one of the competing Alphas and with others in the other packs, that want her to win and change the ways of the different packs. Lillith also finds help with unexpected allies.

Wonderfully engaging story filled with action, suspense, and heart warming moments, and enough steam to keep going. Book 2 gave us answers we wanted from book 1. Also book 2 felt more romantic. Lillith and her men, seemed more settle in there rolls with her. Visiting each pack and reading the unfairness. Lillith got chance the world and soon. Yet again we are left on an epic cliffhanger. I am truly enjoying this read, and I am literally devouring each page. Reads easy and quick. Great world building. Wonderful characters. The "furless" babies are just brilliant. Knight is just so frank and fun to read. I totally recommend these books.
I loved the progress of this story, I was so taken by the first book that I straight away started with the next one cause I needed to know what was gonna happen next. The trials begin and Lilith was first put under the hand of the firestorm Alpha that wanted her dead to begin with and since he can't kill her after taking an oath he tries to break her but her strength and her guys help keep her going . The Guys are amazing each with a different personality but they all want what's best for her and although they didn't see eye to eye in the first book they grow close in this one. They're actually funny together. Lilith was ahead at the trials she only had one more to win then everything changed. Now I'm moving on to book 3 to find out what happens next
The story started out as a nice slow burn RH. It was very plot heavy with her guys trickling in. The world and plot weren’t very consistent but it was easily ignored. Time also moved in weird ways but again it could be ignored. The story really starting to fall apart for me when the FMC and guys just go from no relationship, to love. There was no chemistry or steam between the characters. It’s also very weird that she kisses everyone in front of the others, but no one says anything. All RHs require some sort of conversation or social convention that the guys will be sharing.
Loved this book! It was fast paced but all the emotions were written so naturally to the issues that were arising for the main characters. The trials, made me anxious but the fmc tenacity to fight for independence and to do what was right was what saved each trial day but that last one threw me for a ringer. I actually thought when lord dyrk bled into the cup or whatever to start the seal binding before the trials he was entering the race as well but he didn’t compete in any of the trials so him stealing the fmc away to bond her to him threw me for a loop. I’m glad the 3rd book is out! I’m off to read it!
G Bailey and Scarlett Snow together is magic. This second book in the series with rejected mates theme, is fast paced and action packed. I found it a little light on the steam factor and missing a bit of tension between the heroine and her guys, but not enough of an issue to curb my enjoyment at all. I really love these books for the reason that I love most RH books, the female is front and centre. I like the female taking back control aspect of this story, we all deserve to be in control of our own destiny! I can't wait to see what comes next.
Love the second book in the triology it made me laugh because of the female character protectors are a small Knight and a dragon and I like the steamy scene between one of her mates in this reverse harem series and I love her three mates are a Baker, a Disney lover and a bookworm but some of these I don't like the one alpha who has the obey by everyone and then the main alpha who is trying to kill the female character but overall I love the second book it made me laugh soo much and I am going to read the last book in the triology
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I love the characters and the story of this book maybe even more than the first book, but then that ending….The ending to this one kind of disappointed me. I didn’t feel like it needed to go that way except to squeeze the story out longer. I had to put the book down without even reading the epilogue because it annoyed me that much, and the fact that the epilogue wasn’t even in the FMC’s or any of her love interests POV like the rest of the two books were just left me puzzled. I’m still unsure whether I want to read the next book or just leave the rest up to my own imagination.
What happens when everyone wants to possess you? War? Death? Games? The first female alpha and no one dares to treat her other then a prize to be won, well that’s not 100% true. As the book progresses you start to see that just maybe she has someone or possible someone’s that will fight for her, with her to create a better world.
That cliffhanger though, I didn’t see it coming at all.
Cannot wait to read book 3 and see where this story takes me!
I was looking forward to reading book 2 in this series it didn’t disappoint at all. Lilith is the only alpha female she is very powerful but now all of the other alphas want her as their mate so they will compete in the trials and the winner will get Lilith she is so outraged by that so Lilith enters the trials herself because she wants to win her freedom. Fantastic story and I can’t wait to read book 3 and I highly recommend this book.
I freaking love this story! So many twists and turns! Plus filled with action, along with serious hot guy steaminess. The only reason I rated 4 vs. 5 stars is there were several grammar and spelling issues that distracted me. I am super persnickety out that stuff and always notice so don’t let that dissuade you from diving into this book! I definitely still recommend it!!!
Omg this book was amazing. All the twists and turns Lilith goes through as she has to fight for her life and also her choice in mate or mates. The guys in this book we see grow more and show Lilith that she can depend on them to help her when needed. During the demon trial to which she is the prize. Totally wicked read with such a crazy cliffhanger I didn't see coming until I was hanging off the edge.
