The war Piper and her crew once thought they’d face has changed entirely, forcing them to unite with former enemies to face the fey royals and save New York.
But, in Piper’s world, nothing goes that smoothly.
Mysterious voices from the gorge in the woods begin calling to Piper with vague promises of aid. Before she can decipher their enigmatic messages, Knox’s past finally catches up to him and he finds himself in possession of powers he can’t control. Is it possible that the key to defeating the fey king and queen could lie with both? Or are they merely distractions from the royals’ plan to eliminate their biggest threat?
Because there can only be one queen of Faerie.
And if they have their way, it won’t be Piper.
THROUGH THE ETHER, the exciting conclusion to the Force of Nature series by bestselling paranormal romance author Amber Lynn Natusch.
AMBER LYNN NATUSCH is the author of the bestselling Caged series for adults. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, and is still deeply attached to her Canadian roots. She loves to dance and practice Muay Thai―but spends most of her time running a chiropractic practice with her husband, raising two young children, and attempting to write when she can lock herself in the bathroom for ten minutes of peace. Dare You to Lie is her debut YA novel with Tor Teen.
I am so mad about Knox dying. And not coming back after everything he went through to be with piper the author ends it with that. I just latterly broke my ipad mini because of it. DUMB MOVE I know but I was that upset about it. I just can't believe she just shitted on us readers like that. I feel betrayed and don't know if I will be ready to read anything else by this author in the future. The let down was a harsh one that I was not ready for Kelly Campbell
I love this author. I love her books. I will not blow this story up for other readers but I will never forgive what was done for what was thought to be needed for the arc of this story! There were other options. There was room for growth in other places and other characters.
I was invested. Like all the books only to have my heart ripped out?! No thank you. I was so mad I literally didn’t want to finish the book. It was wrapped up so fast and half-hazardly considering the whole series was very well written and rounded. He was my favourite character he did not deserve or need to die.

The was the final episode to this author’s Force of Nature series that I have loved since the beginning. It evolved so much from the first book and Piper as a character grew a lot as well-first as a supernatural character and then as a leader and force to be reckoned with. To put it mildly.
There’s romance and humor, but the story this time around was Piper’s battle against the evil Queen of the Fae. It had to end sometime, although some of that ending wasn’t exactly how I wanted things to go. Piper has faced so much evil along the way but the Queen of the Fae was the embodiment of evil and the toughest opponent yet.
We also find out that Cat, Piper’s best friend and wolf shifter is leaving to clear up something from her past. We knew her spinoff was coming, just didn’t know how it would be handled. It also lets us know that Griff would still be around. He is one of the best side characters the author has ever introduced. I’ll definitely be looking forward to Cat and Griff’s adventures. Recommended to paranormal romance readers or fans of urban fantasy that also enjoy romance.
a very different and traumatic ending so be prepared
Omg I was not expecting that. Be prepared for tissues. I would not call that a hea and what a shock. I mean I had questions in regards to these relationships and I’m trying not to give anything away in what I’m saying. I’m absolutely gob smacked. It’s been a series that has definitely gone out of the comfort zone, definitely not played by any rules and given me whiplash.
Amber Lynn Natusch is a author that I’ve never come across before and after coming across this series I had to give it ago. It’s been pretty tame in both the dark side of paranormal and relationships but it’s made up for all the twists, plots and story all together. Piper the FMC is one to watch for, she’s gone from the weak, timid, naive and scared little girl to a bad ass killing machine. Her character has all kinds of different magic and her story is definitely one of a kind.
I absolutely adore Amber's writing. This book did not disappoint as a finale to a much loved series. I laughed, I cried and I smiled.

Don’t read if you haven't finished.
The ending was so fitting and I'm actually really pleased that Amber ended the book in such a way. It's a really difficult thing to kill of a beloved character and I sobbed my eyes out wondering how she could end the book with only 10 minutes reading time left. Yet somehow she pulled it altogether and I was really pleased with Pipers story. Sometimes things come back full circle and I felt that this was a fitting end to such a fabulous story.
First off, Amber is an absolutely brilliant evil genius. 1,000% evil genius! Holy hell! This book is so good. I am still in a bit of shock that it is all over.
It was a beautiful ending to Piper’s story and will give you all the feels, I definitely cried at one point. You will laugh, cry out in frustration and try desperately not to throw your kindle against a wall. The story was so well written and thought out and takes you places that you did not expect. This series is absolutely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read!
Favorite Quotes: “Hey,” I said as I peeked into the room. He didn’t even lift his head from the bed, where he lay sprawled like a starfish. “Do you want me to go—” “I never want you to go, Piper.”
“I think what his fanged majesty is politely trying to say is ‘knock it the fuck off before I end you’,” Kat called from somewhere to my left. “Unless I’m mistaken.” “You are not,” Merc replied.
One I didn't want the series to end, but I understand that it has to happen at some point. I really enjoyed the story, right up until the last battle. I was not expecting that ending and it broke my heart. The ending was happy, yet very sad too. I'm still not alright with it.
Aagghhhhh. That is how I feel right now. Emotionally drained. This entire series was intense and filled with twists and turns. It was emotional and heartbreaking but filled with so much love as well. This last book was crazy. So much happened, my head is still spinning. So sad it’s over but can’t wait for Kats book!
THIS SERIES. My goodness, has this series been a hell of a ride. Ultimately it led me to Amber which I am absolutely grateful for. I can never tire of Piper and the gang and I will always want to come back and relive with them all over again. I LOVE this series and every other series from Amber.
God the end to Pipers story was everything I wanted.. from the amazing fight scenes.. to me feeling like I needed to curl into a ball a cry for a year. These will remain some of my all time favourite charters and it’s a series I will read over and over again. Absolutely outstanding 💕
This one started off a little slow, but wow. The end blew me away. It takes a bit to get me this emotional over a book ending. Amber did it though. If you have loved this series as much as I have, this is a must!
I loved this series and struggled to put it down. I ended up crying at the end. If magical beings and drama and a little erotica are your thing, then this is a must-read.
I dint know if it was the lapse in time from the series to me reading the end book but I was seriously disappointed in the writing. It was awful. We’re the first 4 books this bad? I finished it so I could be done with it.
Ugly crying! This literally broke me! Why?!? Ugh! Legit crazy though. I fell I love with Piper and the gang and Amber Lynn Natusch does not disappoint!
This felt like one book too many, and then I wouldn't really call it a HEA ending. Quite the opposite in fact. I wish I'd DNFed 3/4s of the way through.
It pains me to say this, but this wasn’t my favorite. 🙈 It honestly wasn’t even what happened in the ending, it was the execution of it. It was a bit all over the place. And things were slow until they actually needed to be.
***SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD***
The big death at the end was too rushed. I can understand wanting to rip the bandaid off, but it just felt so glossed over. It’s not the death itself that is painful, it’s the aftermath—the mourning. There wasn’t much of that for someone so vital to the story, expected more.
Sad the story of Piper, Merc, and Knox is complete. An incredible amount of events were packed into this final book of the series, including the introduction of an entirely new powerful character and part of Faerie. I wasn't quite sold on the ending at first, and I'm still a little heartbroken, but the more I think about it, the more I think it was perfection.
That ending ripped my heart right out but I loved the whole series. I feel that it was very well written even though it was sad. Not every story has a super happy ending.
