Let me tell you, as a total newbie I was pretty darn nervous to start playing chess. But after tearing through the pages of this here beginner's book, I'm having a blast playing games with the missus! The author really did an excellent job explaining the rules real simple-like with clear pictures and whatnot. Now we're moving our horses and castle dealies all over the board! I can't remember the last time we had such quality time together. I'd say this chess book is just swell for any greenhorn looking to pick up the game.
