I really enjoyed everything this book had to offer. I’m reliving my youth through 90’s tv shows atm and this was a great demon fix.

Alyssa is home from college and spending some down time with her family and friends. When she attends a party she’s awakened to the truth. Demons walk amongst us and she’s in the thick of the storm.

Can Alyssa ever go back to the way things were? Or will more than demons existing change her life?

Chasing Demons is one of the few PNRs that, in my opinion, is complete, I loved it, and I'm curious to see what happens next. In this book, I have found everything you need to be able to call it fantastic.

Alyssa and Maddie return home for the summer vacation, and all they want is to relax. Alyssa is about to turn 21, and her uncle, together with Chris, Maddie's father, threw her a party.
Alyssa uncovers a feared family secret that was hidden from her. His life is in danger, and he must do everything to survive. At her side will be Chris, who has promised her parents to keep her safe, and a special bond will be created between the two.
Love it? Oh, yes!

Alyssa and her best friend Maddy are going home for a bit from college and she has no idea her life is about to change. She's about to turn 21 and her uncle Jake and Maddy's dad Chris have planned a low-key party for her. She's not one for parting and would rather hang with family and friends. What she doesn't realize is that when she turns 21 her life is about to be flipped upside-down. She's about to find out that what she thought she knew she doesn't and then she's about to find out the truth about her best friend. She's part of a group called the Hunters and she's "the one" that the demons want. Now she has to fight them, fight to stay alive, and well she bonded with the one man that she's not supposed to. Chris needs to protect Alyssa at all costs that is what he promised her father. What he doesn't realize is his life is about to change as well. When they find out who is behind the crazy they are both shocked. Now they have to fight their way to survive. Can Chris save Alyssa before it's too late?

Alyssa is turning twenty-one and her whole world is about to change. She is finding herself attracted to an older man, she is being chased by demons at a party, she learns about her family's history of demon hunting, her best friend and uncle are mad at her...and did I mention the older man she is interested in is her best friend's dad?!?
I enjoyed this story. Alyssa is trying to figure out the world that she just learned about...while figuring out her feelings towards Chris. Chris wants to fight his feelings for Alyssa...but fate has other plans. This story moved quickly but I found myself wanting to know what would happen next. There are a lot of unresolved issues at the end of the book, so I am sure we will learn more in the next book.

This book took off with a bang. Alyssa is anxious to start her summer and relax. When she returns home she starts to take notice of her best friends father in a different way. Her world is turned upside down when she learns a family secret. This secret changes her life and it will never be the same. As her family and friends are trust into danger she needs to take control.

This blurb had me at paranormal read with a taboo twist. It was a face paced read that was non stop terror, mystery, secrets, romance, steaminess, and demons. This book does wrap up with a more to come ending.

Chasing Demons is a fast-paced adventure that begins with Alyssa and Maddie returning from college to learn that demons are coming after Alyssa but she doesn't realize that this was foretold many years ago and everything she thought she knew about her family was untrue. She's also confused about the sudden overwhelming desire she has for her best friend's dad. But as things are explained, she learns the truth and her destiny in a battle of good verses evil. It's a fascinating story of family, love and strength that will keep you riveted.

Chasing Demons has action, drama, and romance all wrapped up into a good read. Alyssa is a down to earth girl who is looking forward to summer break and coming home from college with her best friend,
Maddie. Their relaxing summer is not what they get when they found out demons are real and threatening Alyssa. To make thing worst Alyssa she is attracted to Maddie's Dad, Chris. So the storyline between Chris and Alyssa started a little weird and creepy for me but by the end of the story, I was liking them together.

Expect the worst, but oh my, be pleasantly amazed by the best! This story has all the necessary bits and a few surprises as Alyssa and her best friend, Maddy come home from college to enjoy their break. However, it’s the farthest thing from a break when Alyssa is over come with an attraction to Maddy’s dad, Chris, and the sparks begin to fly. Alyssa and Chris soon realize their fated destiny and are forced to sacrifice everything to save the ones they love.

Great story. This is an age gap of 16 years. I loved the characters and it is a very quick burn almost instalove. Alyssa and Chris first feel the bond form on Alyssas 21st birthday and spend a week fighting it before giving in. Not long after they start to really have feelings for each other. The development of the characters is good especially the sub characters of Maddie and Jake who don't support Alyssa and Chris at first.

I found some of the phrasing choices in this book quite odd, lots of "I am instead of I'm, "You are instead of you're" and so on. It took me a while to get used to it but once I did the story came to life for me. The characters were engaging and the storyline was interesting. All in all, a good read.

I got this book free from “ Quirky Blind Date with a Book”. I have never read this author before. I liked the concept and the characters. I think I will read on to see what happens to them.
