I enjoyed this pocket-sized guide to British weekend breaks. The plans were divided by season, which is reflected in the lovely photographs, and there are sections on where to stay, where to eat and what to do for each break.
Depending on your base location, some are very achievable in a day, I suspect, but for those looking to widen your horizons in the UK during these times of restricted overseas travel, and see a little more of our less typical attractions, this book will be a welcome addition to your travel library.
