Forever: Brick Lost Souls MC Book 1 in Lost Souls Series
I’m so much more than meets the eye. One world sees me as a successful business man. Owen Mason, an upstanding pillar of the community. My brothers back home know the real me. Brick, a member of the Lost Souls MC. One of the last people you want to see come through your door.
I’m no good for her and nine years too old, but I’ve had a thing for Eva Kennedy for way longer than I’ll admit. One night is all it takes for me to lose focus and take what I’ve always wanted. I know I owe my pound of flesh for what I’ve done, but it’s done now and she’s mine. I don’t care about anyone that thinks they’re going to stand in the way of that. I’ll put you to ground for coming between me and my woman.
I’ve been in love with Brick since I was a little girl, but he doesn’t know it. I didn’t think he knew I existed in the first place. However, I find out a lot during one of my epic Eva situations, that Brick is sent to get me out of. I’m stuck in a bathroom the night Brick bursts the little bubble I live in. Now I don’t know which way is up from down. I just know that everywhere I turn he’s there.
I just hope he makes it when I really need him. This one moment is the only one that counts.
NEW YORK CITY – In just over a year since romance author Blue Saffire began writing and releasing books, she has trailblazed a path to success that many indie writers can only dream of. A multi-Swirl Award winner and a perennial Amazon bestseller, Saffire is the woman behind the popular interracial romance series “Legally Bound,” “Hush,” “Ballers,”“Brothers Black,” “Perfect For Me” and “Yours.”
Always the overachiever, Saffire typically releases a new book every four to six weeks, quenching the thirst of her dedicated fans with spicy storylines and dynamic writing. Saffire has seven releases slated between October 2016 and January 2017 including three new “Brothers Black” books and four new “Legally Bound” books.
One of Saffire’s keys to success is her talent for connecting with readers on a personal level. In 2017, she’s throwing Blue’s March Madness from March 23 to March 25 at Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, SC. Not only does each reader get a chance to meet and hang out with Saffire, she’s inviting her bestselling author friends to join in on the fun. Included in the price of tickets are the events, new books exclusive to March Madness attendees and an extra-special secret surprise. BLUE SAFFIRE is a woman on a mission to share her words and thoughts with the world. She has found her passion in her pen and steams up the pages with her humor, honesty, love and voice. Saffire represents the secret author inside that some of us are too scared to let out.
Saffire and her family all enjoy life in the suburbs. However, life throws her challenges daily and since her diary is no longer enough, she has decided it is time for new outlets for the words she would never say face to face to her friends, family and definitely not her husband. He stops her from moving on and is very aware pathetic heroine wants her but he keeps pushing her away and sleeps with other women for years. Pathetic heroine chases this guy for years knowing he’s with other women and seriously just doesn’t give up. She was too desperate and had no self respect. One scene in the early part of the book the heroine disgusted me with what she did to the so called hero when he thought she was someone else.
The book had a few key ingredients to be great. An MC, a good alpha hero, some intrigue.,Unfortunately, the sauce wasn’t quite right. Let’s start with the first issue. The book lacked useful background information which would have helped understand better. For instance what are Ava and Sal background ? Who is their biological father and how did they come to be the prez’s daughter? Is Rose white? We got some physical description of Ava but what about Misty, Sal and Reap? Now onto the most important miss for me. Ava’s personality. I can see how Brick might need peace, however turning Ava into a naive idiot who’s lived in a club for over 10 years but doesn’t know what’s going on was too much. She’s so sheltered everybody can get the drop on her and she needs to be rescued ? Not VP old lady and Squad captain material in my opinion. As for why Pop wasn’t dealt with years ago it wasn’t clear. How come is he now so strong? Where has he been? There was barely a page of real information and the rest was vague to say the least. Lastly, it’s inconceivable to me that Cage could come back from the dead and basically order Brick to burn what he has spent years building as a respected architect to be VP. What? How is that better for the club and him? Ava might be gifted but she will barely have a year of experience and twins to look after. How is that fair? I hope the next books will be better balanced.
I usually like books by this author but this one was not it. I was gonna DNF at the 10% mark but decided to skim the rest of the book. Forever was all over the place. The story wasn’t fully developed. No background information on the characters. Kept asking myself WTF was I reading? Mostly I was not down with Eva and Brick’s relationship. They were definitely in lust but not in love. Brick was possessive and a Neanderthal. Eva was naive and dumb. The relationship had me feeling icky especially since Brick has had a hard on for Eva since she was a teenager. He’s a grown ass man. That ain’t love. The first time they had sac felt like the author was towing the line of consent. The relationship was overall gross
Are these people black? White? Other? Didn’t find out that King -Eva’s stepbrother?- was white until Eva described his blue eyes and blonde locs. White dude with locs. Gross.
Plot was all over the place. A lot of times I had no idea who people were. What was going on.
These old ass men messing with young women. Not my cuppa tea. Won’t be reading the rest of the series.
I really liked this book. It was a great start to a new series and I plan to read book two. I'm excited to read the story about the first Prez and his flower. I hope we get the back story but I hope the book will primarily focus on how the flower finds herself again. That's gonna be a good read and actually a read with a female lead over 30; that might actually be the best part; reading about a female lead over 30. Hot damn. I hope B.S. has it in her to write a book like that. Because as much as much as I love her books; reading about 22 year olds is getting old. Women over 30 are desirable and, are worth writing about. That's all I'm saying. Anyway, I recommend this book. It's a good read.
Wow…what did I just read? How did things go so far left? I really enjoyed the first part of this book, I was a bit skeptical of the instalust but I was slowly being convinced that these characters had a real, genuine love connection. I like to possessive hero, I understand the more submissive, sweet, insecure heroine. Their forbidden office romance, brothers best friend drama was great, believable. Then the 70% mark hit and this book completely crashed and burned for me with so many crazy, stupid, out of pocket, ridiculous plot points I can barely believe it…I was already trying to make my peace with the flagrant misogyny(I know this is an MC book, and that’s to be expected but this one takes it to a new level) and the POC villain/OW drama and the BLONDE DREADS…. So by that point I was ready to throw the book across the room. I actually enjoyed the writing and spice and romance, the main couple is sweet but I absolutely refuse read on in this series.
This was a book of fecking. If they weren't fecking, they were thinking about it. It was fecking with a little bit of story sprinkled. A lot of story could have been told if you had left some of the fecking out. The story was interesting, but when you get into the story, it is interrupted with fecking. Don't get me wrong, sex is good to be put in the story, but darn, it was overdone. Another book? I sure hope so. Rose hasn't regained her memory. We didn't find out who was Mags informant about where Eva was when she went to see Rose. So many unanswered questions.
I know this was a Blue Saffire novel, because I felt some of her influence in what I was reading. But there was too much wrong. I will name a few. The story began as if it was the middle and not the beginning. Entirely too, too much foul language. The love scenes were more crude than romantic. And that's just a few. But worse of all was the intrigue of the bad guys they tried to put in the story. It was a confusing jumble of nonsense. But like I said I could still see Blue Saffires touch by how strong the men were, because if it wasn't for that I would have given this story a one star.
Hmmm... this book had a lot of good parts however I feel some scenes could have had more detail and some characters possibly more developed. I had a few questions that don’t get answered. There are a lot of noticeable errors in the book the biggest being typos and sentence repeats or sentences that made you guess as what was trying to be said. Overall a decent book that held me until the end but between the errors, unanswered questions, and all the questions the end of the book leaves you with, I wouldn’t read a second time like I would other books I own.
I really liked the premise of this book. Hot biker guy falls for the (forbidden) sister of best friend. I somehow became lost along the way to the end of the story. Confusing subplots that never went anywhere. Names popping up (Pops?) with the threat of certain doom for the Lost Souls but never actually make an appearance in the entire book. And why engage Magdalene AT All when everyone knew she was 100% trouble? Kill her off on page 23. I liked Grim and Reap(er?). Perhaps they can get their own story!
OH My! She is such a awesome storyteller ! I have highly enjoyed all of the series, they have kept me up way past my bed time and the first thing I pick up the next day. All doing the day my Kindle is in my hands and my nose was deep in the story. This may not be my favorite series but it's in the top five. It has the humor I have come to expect from Blue it still had me laughing out loud. Also, the story line with this couple is outstanding. It's so passionate; it builded you up and didn't fizzle out. I was expecting more of a fight with Eva and Mags especially with everyone there, but really there wasn't much of one. However, the interaction between Eva and Owen is explosive in its own right these two match each other in wits and passion each other constantly so the sparks really fly. There is plenty of action to keep you entertained and there is a lot going on at any given time, which is not surprising given Owen's Endgame and all of their enemies. But the core of the book remains about Owen and Eva and Eva always does give as much as she gets what can I say bout this story: its exceptional, funny, truthful, heartbreaking, powerful!!! There are so many parts that require commentary that I would be writing a book myself this amazing story!!! One of the things that makes a Blue Saffire novels among my favorites are our reoccurring characters. There is this scene with Owen, you'll know it when you get there, it will probably be one of the more memorable of this series. These southern gentleman that refuses to give up and Owen can charm just about anyone, you can't help but like him.
Forever the first installment in the Lost Souls Trilogy takes you on a thrilling ride. You are immersed into the lives of Brick & Eva, from their beginning to their future ahead. With glimpses into King, Misty and the other Lost Souls family. This book takes you on a journey into their world of love, action and adventure. I love how the author details the heartbreak of Brick's/Owen's childhood. His rescue and being taken into a loving family. To Eva's quiet awkward years, with her fiery temper surfacing at times. She was a beautiful butterfly waiting to blossom. Brick saw her beautiful spirit and Eva saw Brick's protective, strong loyalty. One night set in motion and changes the dynamic of their relationship. Putting them on a path to get what they always wanted. Only, they by passed the brother code. Secrets are kept and other forces are at work to derail the Lost Souls, also, Brick and Eva's future together. A beloved family link Eva, Brick and the Lost Souls thought was gone suddenly appears. Along with old enemies. Secrets revealed, hurt feelings and perceived betrayal reconciled and forgiven. Enemies handled.....for now. Brick and Eva have their future ahead of them and a beginning HEA . More to come in this series. Excitedly waiting for what comes next. You don't want to miss this story. Grab this book, relax and enjoy tho ride.
After reading book 1 from black brothers series I was excited to read another insta-ish love story by this author, but this was severely lacking. The writing felt very clunky and amateur Wattpad (no offence to my wattpad girlies cause some of them can write!!)
The fmc made me wanna slap my brain she was supposedly smart, straight A and a mathematician but she acted so dumb and not even 22 year old dumb/immature just severely lacking in brain cells.
1. Getting frustrated cause her mum doesn’t remember her the day she wakes up after being in a coma for 6 years🫠 2. Not realising she’d been barebacking for a month without any thoughts about contraception 3. Taking sex education advice from her equally clueless friend without cross checking with a leaflet or web post from a gov resource 4. Wanting to leave the compound without an escort even though the clubhouse is in a lockdown
I was just frustrated with her character I wish she’d been written to be have more wits about her and the mmc 🙄
The mmc was my usual type for a potential book boyfriend but he just felt a bit meh at the beginning I didn’t like how he acted during the whole taking her virginity scenes and the immediately days after. I think more care should’ve been taken with the first few spicy moments between the couple.
I wouldn’t read this again but if you can shut off your brain for 3-4hours you might not think it’s bad

What a Ride!! Eve and Brick have had a long time admiration of each other from a distance until the opportunity raised its head for them to take advantage of it. Boy did the fireworks fly. To Eve’s brother King’s undoing, he inadvertently started the ball rolling when he asked Brick to rescue his little sister and keep her safe with him for a couple of weeks. Brick knew once he got back he was going to have to pay for his being with the Prez’s little sister, a price he was willing to pay. She had become his addiction and love of his life. Little did they all know that the Prez was keeping a secret too.
The Lost Souls MC is made up of just that, lost souls whom the deceased Prez, Cage had rescued and made sure these men made something of themselves. In that respect, they were not what is thought to be the typical motorcycle club. The club’s deceased prez has enemies that want to bring the club down and destroy it. Brick’s ex throws a monkey wrench in his new relationship with Eve and they all have to figure out what is really going on. We see the loyal members come together to protect their own.
This story was full of drama and suspense. The love between Eve and Brick is off the charts hot. It was a very enjoyable story.
Brick aka Owen. I liked him and at times, I didn't like him. He was a BA, an alpha man, sexy, handsome and talented yet his insecurities drove me crazy. For a man with all that, he whined alot. He didn't seem sure of his budding relationship with Eva. I needed him to bang his fists on his chest and claim his woman. I loved the dark Brick. The Squad captain. I hoped that Brick would rub off on Eva.
Eva was too too naive. You can't become a full grown woman and not know anything. Also, knowing how the men of the MC get around with bunnies, why would you trust Brick simply because you had a crush.
The connection between Eva and Owen was undeniable. I didn't understand why they were hung up on 9 years. Owen was just mature enough for Eva. Remember: girls mature faster than boys. Eva did do some growing but I want her darkness to match Brick's when she was pushed.
I can't wait to read more of this series. I hope that Rose gets her memory back. I need to know if Sug get both Lost Souls? Who was Mags' snitch? What's going to happen to Jemma? Did Blue get Jemma's name from SOA? So many questions. I'll wait to see if they are answered.
“She’ll come around just like she has with you guys,” I reassure Eva. “I guess so.” Rose doesn’t remember much about anyone, but she’s excited about the babies. She’s been more than willing to get to know the girls. Eva and Sal, even Misty, have clung to Rose since she’s come home. Home, we’re all in South Carolina for now. The longer we’re here the more right it feels. “Their busy in there,” I murmur against Eva’s neck. The twins are moving around in her protruding belly beneath my hands. I just started to be able to feel them a few weeks ago and it made this all so real for me. Eva’s making me a father. I can’t help the smile on my face. We don’t want to know what we’re having, but I’m hoping for two boys. Her musical giggle fills the air. “Yeah, it’s been an exciting day.” “The fucking best,” I say with a smile.
This book has been in my TBR pile for several years. I grabbed it because I needed a distraction from another series. Now that I've read Eva and Brick's story, I am wondering why I didn't read it sooner! I enjoyed the writing, the characters, the drama and the ending...for now. Just the distraction I needed.
I could absolutely relate to Eva, being so engrossed in her own world of books and art that she is clueless about many things that are going on. I liked the protectiveness and follow through of family. There were a few places that gave me pause, and I'm not sure if clarity will be provided. I would love to know more about what happened to Eva's parents. Maybe more information will be revealed in the next books. There are other characters that I hope to see more of in the next book. 3.5-4 stars.
Liked Brick, but Eva🙄. I'm not a fan of books that have unrealistic clueless heroins. I can understand some of her"innocence"and naivety, but it just got to be ridiculous. For Eva to have grown up in an MC with your father & brother leading she was a little to stupid at the wrong times. Blue did a decent job with the storyline for how a older, wiser sexy Brick could have gotten into her and how they end up progressing from zero to 100...to some degree, even if this would probably never happen in real life. I get the older men being into young women, but then it was the creepy everybody wifeing the young clueless girls. I've seen much better storytelling from Blue, I can see why this was a rewrite
The overall story was fine. I just couldn't get into it or the characters because all of the "old ladies" were 22 years old and with men in their 30s. Men who were grown when the girls were literal children. The hero was lusting after the heroine at her 18th birthday party talking about how he has wanted her for sooo long. Add that with the fact that the heroine was extremely naive and the hero often said things that seemed like he wouldn't tolerate being questioned. Almost every relationship in the story had a 9+ years age gap and the women were always the younger. I won't be reading the rest of the series. However, if age gaps don't bother you, this isn't a bad read.
Yep.... I had to reread this epic story and it’s still good, ten times better⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I definitely had to reread this epic, wonderful story... man Owen and Eva were the bomb. Where I remember the beauty that is King, but these two were so cute and so special. I still love them!!! Now I hood the next brother’s or Sal’s story we will get to know what they had now that we know that king and Misty had a son. I am wit Owen on this one, two boys would be perfect. So now let me go get another cute thing to read until MS. Sapphire gives us another hood thing to read....
I think I'd be too generous with a 3 but I was mostly bored reading this whole book. Even when there was excitement and danger, I wasn't invested in the story. I think it's because the book starts out with an introduction then shortly after, Eva and Owen are living together after they have sex, she for the first time. I didn't connect with the characters or their stories and kept waiting for their secret relationship to blow up in their faces. It doesn't but even the tension of keeping their secret from her brother causes little angst.
This series has me just like Legally Bound, that whole series had me on the edge of my seat. This is the same way, I need a bottle of wine or a Whiskey Sour, tub full of hot water & bubbles, with epson salt sprinkled in, then a tray that extend into the tub so my table and glass of whatever I’m drinking while I read this series to find out what did Eva & Owen’s have 2 boys, 2 girls or one of each. Did there mom remember Cage, what’s going on with Misty & King, and how is Gutter & Sal doing. It’s so much going on and I want to know everything, so I can see myself reading this over and over.
I LOVED this book. It had me hooked, I couldn’t put it down! When Brick comes to save Eva neither one of them can fight how they feel and we’re off and running, the story never slows down. It was nice to not have to deal with them dancing around each other for half the book. Since they has some sort of prior history I was annoyed with their instant love. I loved every single supporting character and can’t wait to dive more into this world. It felt good to see Eva finally snap! I wish we could’ve seen more of that.
My goodness this was a absolute pleasure and surprise. I was not expecting this book to start off with a bang but by the second chapter straight fire. This books is a bwwm erotic romance about Brick a 6'5 green eyed biker and Eva a 5'6 mini chocolate goddess who was raised by her white biker stepdad who is married to her black mother and also has a overly protective white step brother who is also 6'5 and a biker pres. I won't give away spoilers away but this book is a great read with action, erotica, and a great story.
The story line and style in which the story was written appears to be different from Blue's usual style. The story started out as an alpha romance with an underlying air of mystery. The action which I love did not come in until about midway the book. Blue's usual books start out like a James Bond movie action at the beginning of the book to get the adrenaline going and ramps up from there. All that said, I still enjoyed the book and I am looking forward to the books by the contributing authors. I love each of those authors.
Brik has been in love with Eva for some time now but he thought he was too old for her and she was the sister of his best friend and the club's President which put her on the off limits list. The heart wants what it wants and age ain't nothing but a number. Mags and Jemma are a pair of conniving , ruthless, pair and Brik did right to rid himself of at least one of them. You left it on a cliff hanger and I am interested to see what happens to the treat. Is Riggs and Axle gonna have their story with Sugar. What happened to Sal? More to come
Fun read from this author as always. I’m never bored reading her stuff and this is the 5th book of hers I’ve read. However I’ve noticed all her books are EXTREMELY intertwined to the point that she spoils the ENTIRE plot for the next couple of books in the series. Why would I read the next books if you explained what happens AND how things end with the other couples? Everything I’ve read by her so far does this and it’s at the point that I’m no longer excited to read her books so this will probably be my last read by this author.
The fmc is not 18 years young in the book; hold strong for those of us old enough that teen erotica is an absolute no-go.
This had one of the hottest starts I have ever read on my recent journey into reading debauchery with relish. I must have reread the beginning 20 times and never got tired of it. I can't wait to read the other books in this series. I have already purchased the three already released, and I am so excited to see that many of the characters will be getting their own stories too.
