Peekaboo: Love: (An Interactive Board Book for Babies & Toddlers with Mirror & Sliders to Push, Pull, or Turn. Cute Artwork Includes a Strawberry, Rainbow, Ladybug, & More.)
Ingela P. Arrhenius's unmistakable, enchanting artwork combined with an ingenious slider mechanism on every page make this a totally irresistible board book for toddlers. Young children will be captivated by the peekaboo concept and--with something to push, pull, or turn on every spread--won't be able to put it down!

This is such a cute one. The entire series is a hit in our household. Yet with all the rainbows, strawberries, birds, and cacti, this one is my favourite. And the mirror, of course, oh, that mirror.
Mavis loves this book that does not rhyme, does not tell a story, does not use punctuation, and does not bring me any joy by itself. However, all the peekaboo that gets played makes her giggle six times a day, so it serves its purpose.
Moral: Peekaboo.
Length: So short, you’ll reread it twice in the same sitting.
Favorite Line: “Peekaboo bugs”
Overall Impression: This is a one-star book in every way. It barely even qualifies as a book. But the interactiveness and durability have withstood a 13 month-old’s grubby hands quite nicely. Mavis can’t get enough of it, so that has influenced the rating. Still, the illustrator of this book was inspired by drawing pictures on her recycling. That’s exactly what we should do with this book.
I can see this book being a nice gift for Valentine's Day, a spring birthday or even during Pride month. For the latter, there is a sweet detail of two alpacas/llamas kissing and when you turn the wheel the hearts are resting on rainbow colors. The mirror is very clear at the end of the book and there was just one slider that was a little difficult to slide. I also like the eyes of the strawberry opening and closing on the cover.
These short board books are perfect for little fingers that like to interact with their reading materials. There are sliders, wheels, and a mirror at the end of each. Peekaboo: Love has 8 pages of images loosely based on the theme of love and favorite things; Peekaboo: Moon shows bedtime-related images. Arrhenius’s simple, brightly colored art is adorable, as usual. These books are really sturdy, so they will also hold up to library use.
Everything you want in a board book. Cute illustrations. Interactive element. Brief text. A mirror for little baby to peek in. This one is about love and it's adorable. Babies will love using the thick, well crafted movable elements in this latest in a series of Peekaboo board books.
19 month old enjoyed manipulating this book once she figured it out. Very cute and sweet! We liked the illustrations. We liked the faces or as my 19 month old says eye! Eye! And the cute rainbows and animals.
I love these peekaboo books for the toddlers! I picked this one up to gift my niece and ended up reading it with her and my 20 month old - it's also easy enough for my 5 year old to use it to work on his reading skills!
