He’s the uncompromising cop tracking a drug lord. She’s his ex who turns up in the middle of a drug bust. Can they reconcile, or are their differences too great?

Angie
When I’m caught fleeing a drug den, it doesn’t look good. The last person I expect to slap handcuffs on me is my ex, Jesse. He’s as uncompromising and dangerously attractive as I remember. Then he throws me in a jail cell.
I want his help desperately, but telling Jesse the truth means betraying another. Maybe it would have been better if he’d never come back into my life.

Jesse
She left me two years ago with an empty wallet and a note that read, “Sorry.”
I thought I’d put her out of my mind, but when she turns up in a drug bust, I’m reeling. I never thought Angie would get caught up in something like this, but then again, how well did I really know her?

We're going back to King's County! This time we're hanging out with law enforcement as they catch criminals and capture hearts. Can our brave boys, and girls, in blue find true love?

A short story of second chances when Jesse has a chance meeting with the woman who left him. I liked that this was more than just a romance, had a good storyline, also has a backstory for you to understand. Enjoyed the ending as it was more about the journey that got them to their HEA.

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Jesse and Angie knew each other two years ago. Jesse is on a drug bust when they are raiding a home looking for a drug dealer. When Jesse enters a room he sees a figure move, tackles them and then handcuffs them. When Jesse pulls the woman up he realizes it's Angie, who he dated two years ago. Jesse takes Angie to the station and asks her what happened, she refuses to tell him. After Angie is put in a cell Jesse grabs her a coffee. When Angie's in the cell a few other women join her, she recognize them from the house she was at. Angie tries to talk to the woman but she can tell they are high. One of the woman speaks up and tells Angie some information. Angie gets released and Jesse is waiting for her, he offers to buy her dinner. Jesse tells Angie he wants to know what is going on, he tells her he almost proposed to her. Angie tells him why she left and that she would have said yes to marring him. Angie tells Jesse about her brother Davey she's been looking for him when she was at he drug dealers house. Jesse tells Angie she wants to help her and her brother, he wasn't there for her two years ago. They head back to Angie's place and look for her brother Davey but he's not home. Angie asks Jesse to stay and he promises to look for Davey in the morning. Jesse begins kissing Angie and then she suggest they head up to her bedroom. Jesse pleasures her, then they make love. When Jesse wakes the next day Angie's not in the bed, he heads downstairs and doesn't find her. There's a note on the coffee table, after Jesse reads where Angie went he head out the door. Jesse heads into he house they raided yesterday and he hears voices. Jesse pulls out his gun and head towards the voices, he finds Angie crouched beside a couch trying to wake a man who Jesse assumes is her brother. Angie tells him she found Davey but she's can't wake him. Jesse calls 911 and then they put Davey one the floor, putting him in a recovery position and monitor his breathing. They head to the hospital, when they doctor comes out he tells Angie her brother is stabilized. Jesse tells Angie they'll get Davey some help, and tells her that her brother isn't her problem anymore he's part of the family. Jesse tells Angie no more secrets, no more running off on her own, he's here now and he wants to help. Jesse still has the engagement ring he got her two years ago, he knows one day soon he'll be surprising her with it. Angie's the woman for Jesse and he's not letting her get away again. Six years later, Angie takes the stage at the podium dressed in a black dress. Angie welcomes everyone and then continues with her speech She's been practicing it for the last week, it's a labor of love for her. The center provides counseling and help for those with metal health issues. There's a reform part of the program, there are classes to help learn new skills, volunteer tutors, and job placement within the community. Angie's brother Davey joins her on stage and he's almost unrecognizable from six years ago. Angie's brother talks about his experience, and how he helped his sister. Davey works at the center, counseling others. Jesse asks his wife, Angie how long they have the babysitter, he wants some alone time. Angie tells her husband she needs to work the room for a bit but she'll met him in thirty minutes. Angie's passion for helping others shines through, she really makes a difference in others lives with her work, and Jesse feels proud to call her his wife.

No more secrets

Jesse is the second book in the King's Cops series and this one pack a bit of a punch. The story is about Jesse and Angie. He is a detective with the local police department who is part of a raid on a local drug house working on some intel that someone they have been trying to catch in the act will be there. What he finds instead is someone he had least expected to find....Angie his ex-girlfriend. Well actually Angie is the woman that two years ago left him in the middle of the night with his wallet empty and not further word. Angie had her reasons and they are not that she was or is involved in drugs. Nope she has a story that is all too familiar in this day and age of cheap drugs and family who goes down that black hole. But you will have to read this well written and nicely plotted story which has a lot of elements that may hit some readers close to home. I really loved both Angie and Jesse as they end up back in each other lives and realize that they are still not only attracted to each other but have never stopped loving each other. Angie had thought she had no choice but to leave when she did two years ago as she did not want Jesse's relationship with her to potentially stop him from getting a promotion to Detective. She also knew that he would judge the situation and put it in terms of "black or white", "lawful for against the law", instead of realizing that there are a lot of different shades of grey in there. When Jesse finally admits to himself that he would have been that way, and that he is going to listen to Angie now, he shows the compassion and support that she really needs. These two have a great second chance with a lot of hot and sexy chemistry and a great HEA. All around I loved this story and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!!!

Jesse bk 2 (Kings Cops series)
This book is Following Jesse and how he finds love.. Each book follows a different couple, No Cliff-hangers and always a happy ending

so it was a sweet romance read.. I liked Jesse and Angie's romance story because it was sweet but the story had some dark themes..

Jesse - works as a cop, Has been hurt in the past, He takes care of his friends, he is sweet, caring, has a big heart, always there to help if anyone needs help, Falls for his Ex

Angie - works at a town center helping people, still loves her Ex, She is sweet, kind, caring, funny and smart, try's to help and look after her brother a lot but her brother makes it hard for her

This book is packed full of:
⦁ Awesome characters
⦁ Cop Romance
⦁ Second Chance Romance
⦁ A wee bit of steam
⦁ Fast Read
⦁ Each book follows different Couples

I like the relationship between Jesse and Angie in this book because it was so amazing, sweet and i am glad they got a second chance at love.. The ending was awesome and i am glad things worked out for Jesse and Angie because they are made for each other..

Jesse is a detective about to go on a raid at a drug den, what he did not expect to find was the woman that left him two years before. Angie is looking for her brother, since their parents passed away he was had a hard time and got mixed up with the wrong crowd. When she gets caught in a raid, the last person she thought she would be was her ex.

Jesse and Angie's have a heart wrenching story that is covered with hidden truths, timid trust, love and compassion. Angie 's past pulled at my heart as she struggle to help her brother while finding a path to no only help him, but others. Jesse finally got to a point to see that everything was not so white or black, if not he was going to loose the woman he loved the second time.

A great story from start to finish.

The Center.
A truly great story. Jesse is on a raid when he finds his ex, Angie, trying escape out a window. He can’t believe that she’s in this house. Jesse has no choice but to arrest Angie. He needs her to tell him why she left and what she was doing in that place. Angie has a secret that she doesn’t think Jesse will understand or help her with. She does not expect him to offer his services but, is very happy to get. What is going to happen when he finds out what her secret is? Grab your cuffs, your going to need them at some point.

A great book

Drugs can do a lot to a person and this book gives you some insight to the down side. Annie's brother has had problems since he was 14 when they lost both of their parents. Annie has always been there for him but Jesse being a police officer. She felt it would keep him back in his career so she took some money from him and took off. Jesse didn't know about her brothers problems. Years later his police until had a scheduled drug bust and who does he find but Angie. She was arrested. Read what happens after that. It's a good book. Angie left Jesse two years ago in the middle of the night without a word. Now Jesse is in the middle of a drug bust and there she is, getting arrested. Will he get answers or will his heart be broken a second time? A quick novella with an entertaining story. Angie and Jesse are both kind and loving wanting what’s best for the other but not always going about it in the right way. Nice addition to this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jesse’s shocked to catch his ex and have to arrest her. Angie has never forgotten Jesse or reason she was forced to leave him. As Jesse learns what sent Angie running, he is determined to help her save her brother and this time there in it together as he has no plans on letting her get away again. But can they each compromise to make this second chance work or is their relationship already done?

This book is has you reevaluating some of your break ups. When you can get past everything that broke you and see how much love is still there, can you humble yourself enough to reach out and never let it go. This heartwarming short story proves that love doesn’t have an expiration date when you truly listen and forgive. Sometimes, you have to forgive yourself too. This is an exceptionally good read that can be read within a hour.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Jesse and Angie and does not let go. Two years ago, Angie left Jesse with no explanation. Now, he finds her at a drug den when the police raid the place. Will she be able to explain her actions and will he listen without judgment?

Very quick read

Jesse is on a bust with his unit when he takes down a woman he recognizes. Angie walked out on him two years ago and now she's in a drug house. I liked the story, but she should have been honest with Jesse from the beginning. I liked the ending.
