Jeremiah was called to be a prophet during difficult times. In fact, his entire preaching ministry was difficult, apparently only seeing two converts in his lifetime - Baruch, his scribe, and Ebed-melech, an Ethiopian eunuch. Nevertheless, Jeremiah was faithful to preach for over 40 years -- and his words still carry weight in our darker days.

Clear and Contemporary
The photos in Alabaster’s edition alongside the Biblical text gave the book a realistic, earthy quality. Dark browns, blues, and reds caught my eye. The various photos were both epic and intimate. I thought of the distress that Jeremiah endured. I thought of what it felt like to be exiled. And I thought of the trauma and tragedy that put pressure on God’s people.

This book is 232 pages, perfect bound, and printed in full color on uncoated paper in Canada. The dimensions are 7.5 in x 9.5 in. I appreciate the New Living Translation for the book of Jeremiah because it gives a clear and contemporary feel to a book of the Bible that I am not as familiar with reading regularly.

A Hope and a Future
The book of Jeremiah holds one of my favorite promises since childhood: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” As I’ve grown older, I’ve understood this verse in its context and what it means to keep it in Christ.

Jeremiah is not a book that preaches the prosperity Gospel. Instead, it shows us that the promises of God will see us through suffering. Our Heavenly Father is sovereign and faithful to keep his promises. This book reminded me of how Christians throughout the ages have had to trust in the sovereignty of God. We will be blessed to do the same.

An encouraging book on experiencing God’s presence even in the most difficult of situations!

Jeremiah had to deal with the unfaithfulness to God of all of the people he encountered. The fundamental issue in this book is whether the people will be faithful to God in the midst of a difficult environment. Jeremiah is concerned with faithfulness in every aspect of life, including religion, family, military, government, agriculture and other spheres of life and work. We face a similar issue as people today. We’re called to be faithful to God in our work, and whatever we do but it’s not easy to follow God’s ways in many workplaces or in the progressive culture we’re living in.

Most of us find our workplaces and lives to be difficult, at least at times. Jeremiah’s perseverance reminds us that perhaps we can learn how to experience God’s presence even in the most trying times.

Jeremiah remained a suspicious and disliked outsider throughout his long career in Jerusalem. Those who face cultural, ethnic, racial, linguistic, religious or other prejudices in today’s culture can identify with what Jeremiah faced every day of his life. Nonetheless, he felt a clear calling from God to do this difficult work, and he trusted God to lead him through it. — The story of Jeremiah is so timely and the beautiful imagery throughout this book really captured and depicted what it is like to be faithful while struggling in our own lives.

I received a complimentary copy of this book through Alabaster’s influencer Program. Personally this book has reminded me to remain faithful even in the most difficult situation. Thanks again for such a wonderful addition to my library of the beautiful Alabaster Co. Bible Collection!

Raw, real, desperate, and moving. This is how I would describe the book of Jeremiah from Alabaster Co. I was able to get a copy through their ambassador program and it was all I could have hoped for or imagined. I have always found Alabaster Co to produce visuals that truly brought the different books of the bible to life, but I could not have predicted just how moving, moody, and perfect the their visuals for Jeremiah would. 2021 has felt like a continuation of 2020 for me and I have found myself going back to the Old Testament to find understanding, answers, and hope during these chaotic times. Thank you Alabaster for continuing to creating masterful visuals that make the bible come to life!

Alabaster co created an incredibly beautiful bible with the book of Jeremiah. You will want to get your own copy of this book. Jeremiah is one of the most important books of the major prophets in the old testament.

Jeremiah contains one of my favorite passages and Alabaster Co has now framed it forever in a beautiful and aesthetic fashion.

Jeremiah has helped me in my personal faith by showing me how important it is to listen to God's Words and not my own heart. The world, the devil, and even our own hearts lie to us. But God is true and we find His truth in His Word.

Alabaster does it again. The layout of this work is gorgeous and gives us moments of pause as we read through the Scriptures. The photography element of each spread was created with contemplative intent. I've read through Jeremiah many times as a student of the Word, but this time I feel like I read it as an artist observing a piece. The Bible is forever breathed-upon and inspired, unchanging yet changing me, and I'm grateful for fellow saints who create well and with excellence under that banner. Thank you for this, Alabaster.

The book of Jeremiah is so beautifully made! The way the book is thoughtfully designed helps me to approach the Word in a more imaginative way. I love the images and the metaphorical value they hold, each one is thought provoking alongside the scripture. I received a complimentary copy of the book through Alabaster's influencer program and couldn't recommend them enough. If you have trouble enjoying reading God's Word, this is for you!
