For a thousand years, the two most powerful families in the world of witchcraft have been at war. In a bid to end the violence once and for all, they arrange a union between their children, Tessa and Rafik.
At a dinner party meant to finalize the marriage negotiations, the ancient feud comes to a bloody end.
Tessa barely escapes Savannah with her life and is forced into hiding with her twin brother and immortal Viking guardian for ten years until all her enemies are eliminated.
At her 23rd birthday celebration, she receives an invitation to study with the best potion maker in the world. When she arrives in England ready to start her life, she is confronted by the man who deceived her all those years ago.
Sparks fly between these star-crossed lovers as Rafik tries his best to make amends to Tessa. Unfortunately, she isn't the only one who wants him to pay for the sins of his past.
The most miserable part about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies, but they’re all about to discover what a wicked witch Tessa can be.

This is the 3rd book in this series and for best enjoyment, I do recommend reading them in order. Tessa’s family is in a feud over her marriage arrangements. She must go into hiding until her enemies are eliminated. She receives an invitation to study potions in England and goes to start a new life. Rafik is the man she was to marry and is the one she finds in England. What will happen when sparks fly between them. Will others come between them? Fast-paced paranormal read with loads of drama, suspense and twists and turns. I liked it.
*BOOK REVIEW* BOOK: Queen of Ruin AUTHOR: Jessica White PLOT: Tessa and Rafik are the children of two of the leaders of the two most powerful families in the world of witchcraft. Tessa and Rafik are instantly attracted to each other and are destined to be married. Their families meet for dinner one night to finish the wedding agreement, but tragedy strikes. Tessa's parents are killed when they ingest poison that their food was laced with, and Tessa is fighting for her life, as she ingested the same poison. When she survives, she swears vengeance for the death of her parents and her own attempted murder. Will vengeance come easy when Tessa and Rafik become mates, or will this be the leverage she needs to finally exact the revenge she's dreamed of? This book was absolutely amazing. It's an amazing addition to an already amazing series. Tessa is a badass and I loved seeing her kick ass! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book, and I can't wait to see Tessa again later on! RATING: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sometimes your faced with a story where you know that the character is going to not only go through the ups and downs of life, but the worst that life and beyond can throw at them. It's the type of character that lives in the trenches of life. Yet somehow gets up every time despite all the strife and heartache, BS and Hel these characters keep getting back up and somehow put their broken pieces back together and trough forward.
This is one of those stories. Don't expect a happy ending and a sweet story. Don't expect story of a character who overcomes and ends up with the love of her love. It's gritty and dark. Painful at times. It's a story of a woman who is betrayed and twisted into a woman of crushed dreams and broken future. . . And I think this is only the beginning of her torment

A good story but a bit confusing at times. It bounced around to different scenes so much and so fast it was hard to keep things straight. Then to have practically the same conversation on the twins 23rd birthday with Haldir that they had on their 12th birthday was confusing. And what was this, "Her hand never left his body, and as she watched herself rub at his thing,"? A few typos, some I can't say because Amazon wouldn't allow it but Chapter 36 had Tessa looking at Haldir and the partial sentence was "as her eyes sh$t to Haldir" I'm guessing it was supposed to be "shift". Also "although Haldir left him a massage daily" I believe it's supposed to be "message" not "massage". All in all I really liked the story. Almost cried a couple of times.

This is my first book, and I should have followed my mind and read the previous books although, let me say they can be read as standalone’s but to better understand the plot of betrayal over years and more years than I say start at the beginning and work your way. But this one of course betrayal, violence, reconnections, and trying to gain your footing again in a world that is still foreign to come back to after being taken away and believe the saying keep your friends close and keep your enemies closer or I think that how it goes but it sums it up.

In this third book, more key players in the Darke Kings plan come in. Haldir is back to protect Tessa and Teddy, twin witches. The heartache, danger and exciting journey these two are faced with kept me on the edge of my seat. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am really enjoying this series. This has incredible world building and character development. I enjoyed the continuation of the series and all the twists. I have really become invested in Tessa's story.
More world building and character development with plot twists and turns that will leave you breathless and feeling for the main female character. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Ok picture this: So you are a 13 year old kid minding your own business (prolly playing with medieval Barbie’s or something) then your parents call you to dinner one night and tells you that you were sold to an enemy that is hundreds of years older than you to marry to unite family’s. And being 13 you run away for 10 years until your 23. Then while you are hiding you get an invite to a super awesome magic school and think “this is great!” So you decide to go. Then you get caught by that enemy you were sold to when your 13 *surprised pikachu face*. Add in a bunch of sexist remarks on your virginity because obvs your cherry is is intact, even though your husband to be had plenty of women to keep his bed warm so you don’t have to worry about anything. You can just lie there like a fish. 👍 oh no! One of his bed warmers doesn’t like you! But that’s ok! They meant nothing to him! Nothing! They were just a warm hole to keep his 🍆 💦💦! You are his one true love! Add in a few more “acts” that is supposed to be sexy but it’s just really insulting, throw in a surprise that’s not a surprise but the author thought they were being super clever (even tho a thousand other authors had the same idea), and they lived somewhat happily never after. The end. Now pay $13.99 for book 5.
This is the same story you’ve read many times. The FMC is the marysue type and the MMC is a sex god. I don’t know why authors write their FMCS so young. Like we are supposed to believe AND be ok with a 13 year old girl being sold off for marriage? Lol? Really??? And you expect us to be stupid to think she’s been hiding for 10 whole years but decides to risk all that for a totally awesome school of magic invite? It’s just insulting. These authors need to stop using ChatGHT to write their books.
Edit: looks like this is now a RH where each book a new guy or 2 is added. Lmao. Virgin straight to 4+ men? Authors do be loving a virgin kink slave tho.
