Echoes is a collection that introduces the the people you have walked past, but never seen. These ‘deliciously dark’ musings showcase short stories in a contemporary form. Gripping and powerful, you may never view strangers in the same light again. Published By Breaking Rules Publishing
Karina Evans lives in Hastings, East Sussex and has worked as a copywriter for many years. Her first two novels: Volcano, and Where Sunflowers Fail to Thrive are social narratives, focusing on the unspoken and 'undesirable' aspects of society. She is currently writing a series: The DS Isobel Hester series, which features a strong female protagonist determined to avenge her brother's death while single-handedly catching the country's numerous serial killers.
Karina lives with her partner, Tony, and her three children.
I compiled Echoes as I had a collection of stories scattered over various clouds and drives that I felt naturally belonged together. The collection represents that moment you join the echo of someone's life, either by walking closely behind them, beside them, watching them, not watching them.
The observations are written in a variety of styles from the traditional storytelling of The Second Sin, to the contemporary abstract telling of Building. I would love to hear your thoughts on the collection.
