Yuri has been preparing for the inevitable war. Some of his preparations in regards to navigation come to fruition. And said war is coming closer and closer. As with previous volumes, I have somewhat mixed feelings about the series. I like the world building, just different enough to be intriguing, and I like how it tries to follow a more logical path than most isekai do. I also like most of the characters, and their growth. I just dislike the MC. Still, an enjoyable read and it seems the next volume we see a more focussed plot than the slices of life we got till this point.

Excellent Story

Hmm, I was a bit disappointed with how wordy this particular volume was. The story moved at an excellent pace, but the author needed to explain a lot of background information for certain concepts.

Otherwise, there was some nice character development and this volume felt more like a build up.

Great story with a non-OP main character

I love this series because the main character is surrounded by capable people with their own hopes, goals, and motivations. It's a story where the MC doesn't always get his way, and much of the story is about how he navigates the conflicting agendas of those around him, while achieving the is own goals.

Really is a great series. The constant references to real world issues and religions still leaves a bad taste, but I just ignore it best I can.

A lot of the books I've been reading recently have felt like filler. Volumes where nothing happens but the publisher gets to cash a fat check. In hindsight, nothing happened in this volume, but it didn't feel like filler. I enjoyed the continuing storyline.

Well, The last English translation for now. The story quite good, no overpowered main character. The main character pretty normal though the invention here still minimal for the main character still in the process of making patent became legal in the kingdom.
