I hate Falcon. The justifications for his horrible and abusive actions are not ok. If I knew that this was a Bully book, I would not have chosen it. He repeatedly was verbally abusive to the heroine, Kaz. He ignored her when she told him no, instead marking her for life. If he had died a horrible death in this book, I would have given this book more stars.
Now Kaz is someone who was rolled with the punches. I loved her in the beginning. That stopped when she came back after death. She is treated like crap by everyone but Mun. Even so, she still loves them all. What made me mad is that although she was killed brutally, she takes up for her murderer. She is bitten against her will, and she just rolls it. I thought in the two years she was gone, that she would lose some of her "extreme good girl" demeanor. She doesn't. She is still more than willing to continue being a victim and blaming it on herself. It is unbelievable. There is nothing good that happens in her life. NOTHING. Everyone, including Roj, betrays her. Yes, I consider being ok with your "brother" biting someone against their will and then leaving the abuse victim alone in the room with them, the ultimate betrayal.
This book teaches us that always taking the high road leads to nothing but repeated pain, death and forced mate to a despicable person.

I liked it. Mostly the world building. Falcon needs a redemption arch though as does his mate. I was interested in the epilouge and hope there is a sequel to this book.
