Rate this book
“Kincaid. Escape from here. Travel east and find the scholars of the Empire. They look at magic differently. Magic is a gift, not a crime.”

But the odds are stacked against him with new challenges.

On the run from the ruling houses in Caesea, Kincaid struggles to honor the wishes of his former teacher. Unstable magical power leads to rejection in the ancient capital of the Empire of a Thousand Spears and leaves the young magi without a purpose. Scrabbling to stay alive, Kincaid finds company in a group of misfit sorcerers bent on uncovering the darkest depths of power. Facing impossible moral challenges, Kincaid, with new companions at his side, must make a stand against a new generation of magicians.

Will the ability to bend time be enough for a single Chronomancer to confront the Schools of Magic?

This is a fast-paced high fantasy adventure filled with action, magic, mystery, and themes for all ages.

Kincaid’s adventure continues.

The legend grows

Like Soul of Magic, once I started reading Schools of Magic, I couldn’t put it down. New heroes join the fray, each with their own unique personalities to add to our growing group and intertwined destinies. Highly recommend subscribing to Mark August’s email list on his website to receive the origin stories for Adelaise the Red and Sigurd and more!

This is the second Book in the Chronomancer Book Series

Another great read I'm still invested and I can't wait to see what happens next . Although in the next book there will be new main characters I'm not sure if I'll read that one I'm not a fan of starting a new saga . When I'm not finished with the previous one I'll just have to see .

I liked this book. The magic system leaves a lot to be desired, but the story itself is a good one, and I fully intend to read more in the series.
