Los Angeles has been transformed into an uninhabitable wasteland.
Strangers quickly become unlikely allies, when Eric, the wannabe film maker encounters Jane the cop, and Donna, who walked out on her job just before the disaster struck .
The sanctuary provides protection for the few. But this won’t be forever,
Follow the trio as they leave the relative safety of the shelter and step back outside into the metropolis to face the wrath of the lethal sandstorms.
But the sandstorms are not the only threat to the three of them as they battle for their lives.
What will happen and will everything be alright. A gripping story all the way to the end. You are definitely immersed in the characters and what happens to them.
This is an entirely different theme for post apocalypse genre. It will take a lot more to bring this one into a full novel, but the start is good. The plot is level but I would expect some twist. Well worth a read. It is short so will take little time to read. Nice read on the way to go to work
Wow. The books just keep better and better. Characters are coming today and interacting. Eric, Jane, and Donna go out on a mission to figure out more about how these sand storms happen to take back to the survivors in the shelter.
Are they the only survivors? Are others like Gideon out there? Better read to find out and enjoy that cliffhanger at the end!
Survivors of the red sand band together to try to achieve a level of civility as the city crumbles. While on a reconnaissance mission, three companions run into an old nemesis and a new terrifying threat. Good characters and good plot flow add the story.
Second book of the trilogy. The story just gets better and better and what a cliffhanger ending. I personally can't wait for book three. Would love to see this as a mini series on tv.
Level Sands: A Post-Apocalyptic Survival Thriller (Crimson Rage Series Part 2), my tenth read from author Sam J. Fires. A well-written, entertaining read. Waiting for Grip of Honor: A Post-Apocalyptic EMP Survival Thriller (End of Days Book 7) to be published in late October I’ve elected to start the Crimson Rage Series since I own the first 6 books. “I received a free Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Next up Desert Rats: A Post-Apocalyptic Survival Thriller (Crimson Rage Series Part 3). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Level Sands Crimson Rage #2 Sci-Fi Sam J. Fires ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book continued 2 months after the previous book, and there was a little progress, despite the storms still raging and killing people.
The pacing was fast. Jane, Donna, and Eric went from one disaster to the next, but it was interesting to see how they each handled them.
I'm glad Donna was able to step up to the plate and put her self doubts to the side in order to help Jane. It gave her a little more confidence, and I'm sure she'll continue to grow.
I'm curious about Gideon as well as the "Desert Rats" who claim to follow the new god.
Level Sands picks up two months after the end of Crimson Rage, with Jane, Eric and Donna on an exploratory expedition and Eric documenting and collecting information on the sand storms. Level Sands introduces a new character named Gideon, searching for his family and willing to do anything to find them. A fringe religious group, The Desert Rats are introduced as well. The writing is excellent and the story short but highly enjoyable. 4/5 stars! Highly recommended for fans of apocalyptic survival thrillers, especially short format ones. Time to read book 3, Desert Rats!
This series has just ramped up another level. Apocalyptic is not my type of reading but, wow, this story really is exceptional, the author has written this in a no nonsense style, everything from the descriptions of the people and areas involved to the way the action is described and believe me, it is action packed. Throughly enjoying Crimson Rage Series. I received this book for free from the author and wanted to give an honest review.
A few good twists in this follow up of Crimson Rage, emotions are running hot as new characters enter the mix. It seems there is more to the sands than is apparent. Love the way the whole group of main characters are forced into a climactic situation. The cliff hanger ending kept me engaged and increased my interest in the upcoming follow up.
Another great read. Donna and Eric who banded with Jane are still a team and run into a little trouble. If anyone is going to survive it’s them, they have grit and don’t let their fear show. Really enjoying reading this series.
Sam Fires keeps writing one good book after another. I wish Eric makes it with his friends. Hopefully Milo and his dad become a family again. This series is highly recommended
An interesting quick read that I had received from the author as part of his ARC team...
This appears to be a continuance of "Crimson Rage" (not sure, as I had not read the first in the series). I found that this book/novella is able to be read as almost a self-contained continuance.
The ease at which I was able to pick up the story makes me feel safe in giving this story a solid four stars out of five.
As with all reviews, this is merely my five cents worth.
Jane, Donna, and Eric are out on a mission for the shelter back to where the story began. Old friends and foes return as well as some new unexpected people. I like how the trio is growing and share strengths and weaknesses. I received a free ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
