I don’t know what I was thinking when I agreed to rent a room at the ‘brohouse’. Not only were the living conditions a nightmare, but my three new RoomHates made every day unbearable. That is, until the unthinkable happened.

Slowly I saw Seth, Lucas, and Hunter as more than just the jock bro personas they put on. They were sexy, passionate and – dare I say it – caring at times. As our dynamic shifted, I found myself drawn into intimate moments with not just one of the bros, but all three.

As much as I want this unconventional relationship to work, I have to ask myself if I can handle all the bumps and hiccups of dating times three.

Very enjoyable read
Full of passionate chemistry and steam, some outstanding writing on addiction and getting through with the help of friends.
These four are great together, wish the books were closer together or one big book, I’m not a lover of cliffhangers and waiting, it must be my impatience.
The books are good though.

The story starts with Rachel meeting up with the guys for New Year’s but something is up with Hunter. As Rachel, Lucas, and Seth trying to help Hunter he spirals, plus Rachel is dealing with what happened to her. I’m really loving this series and I’m excited to see what happens in Paris :)

Rachel and her guys continue their relationship although their personal relationships are creating cracks in their living situations.

I thought it might answer some of the questions left by book 1, but it didn't. It seems like the relationship is superficial and they went from hating to loving each other so suddenly.

This book picks up the story line of Book 1 and we see some character development as Rachel begins to observe Seth, Lucas, and Hunter as feeling and caring guys rather than just the typical “jock bro” mentality. It also allowed her to open up to all three of the guys.

Getting closer may put more strain or awkwardness on their relationship at times, but eventually they will each find a way to fit into their place in what they are creating and begin to work out the roadblocks they may encounter along the way.

I think the readers are also adjusting. There were some brutal themes in the first book. Now, as the characters adjust in the relationship, some of the negatives will fade and hopefully attitudes adjust accordingly.

This book was not what I thought it would be....this had more life lessons in one semester than most people learn in a whole year. I was so surprised with how this book was written. It didn't create new problems for the characters to deal with but it continued to have the characters continue making progress with the problems that they had from the first book. On top of dealing with those issues, they deal with all the ups and downs that come with being in a relationship that is fairly new. They had to learn to be with each other and to learn that it's okay to open up to other people and that showing emotions isn't a bad thing. Everyone in this book had something to learn and through the characters, the reader could learn something new as well. I was very shocked with how deep this book was. I did a whole blog post about it, so check it out if you want to read my full thoughts on the book.

Awesome Book!!!

I loved reading Roommates(Life in the Brohouse Book 2)!!! All about Rachel a freshman in college & her roommates/boyfriends Seth, Lucas & Hunter all athletes all in college as upperclassmen. Before the winter semester starts, they all go skiing and stay in Lucas’s family’s cabin/ski chalet. While there they notice that Hunter has basically checked out, cause the pain in his shoulder is out of control. He’s popping pain killers like it’s Candy. So instead of fighting & answering questions he leaves and takes the bus back to campus. Read about Rachel & the bro’s and how living with three hunky athletes, one with a drug problem causes major problems. Lots of emotions and plenty of toe curling takes place! Life in college is difficult, throw in a drug problem and life gets very messy!!! Can’t wait to read book three!!! Definite Read!!!

Yeah….not reading any further than this one. So my attitude towards them hadn’t change that much from the first book however :
Hunter- I just don’t know. He spiraled out of control quick. From drinking to prescription drugs to hardcore drugs.

Josh behind….whew. He’s a rapist and then tried to blame the situation on Rachael. He is the epitome of a f*cked up person. I understand those were his friends but to take advantage of a person needing you help then turn around and blame your f’ed-upness on that person is grounds for getting shot in the genitals in my book. And the thing is if he tried it once and didn’t succeed he’ll try again.

I have a feeling we have not heard the last of him but I have.

Deep material

I like this series, but each book also aggravates me. The first one the guys were overly mean and nasty for far too long. This one, Rachel cries so, so much. I get she has some very awful stuff that happened to her in the first book, but with everything that is going on with Hunter, she needed to stop crying and open her eyes (along with Seth and Lucas) and really see what was going on with Hunter. Constantly, letting him have his space after seeing how bad he looks and his erratic behavior should been a clue to step in and help him.

I did like how deep the storyline got with Hunter. This was not your typical funny roommate romance story. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Rachel, Seth, Lucas and Hunter all return to campus post school break. Are they picking up where they left off or is there a change in the relationship already?
Millie seems to still be lingering around as is Josh. Charlie and Lauren seem to have a different opinion on Rachel with Josh in hot pursuit of their friendship again, leaving Rachel out in the cold.
Hunter's attitude is causing a lot of pain for those around him that care. Will this be the end?
So much up in the air to know whether or not Life in the Brohouse is really worth it for Rachel.
She's a freshman and the guys are juniors. Some steamy scenes but are they all with the expected reverse harem?

Good read, same characters as book 1, just older. One gets some serious issues though and it hijacks the book, which shows growth... but also stole the happy funny enemies to lovers theme of book 1.

Made me sad. It seems unfair to lower the stars for a book that shows character growth but I just wanted it to be the lighthearted continuation of book 1, not something I had my heart hurt through.

Also some spelling and grammar issues which should have been picked up in proof reading. Nowhere neart as brilliant and fun a read as book 1, I had already pre-ordered book 3, which I will read... but I hope for more HEA, less gritty situations please.

This one is a 3.5 out 5 stars for me.

I was pleasantly surprised that this story, book 2, was so much better than book 1. Just know that you need to read book 1 first as this is a continuation of the story. Luckily the whole "bully" genre was dropped for this book as it did not work well in the first one. This hs now morphed into a good contemporary college RH romance.

This story was much better because it focussed on the development of the relationships between the FMC and the harem. It also further explored the date rape, meaning of consent and self medication of drugs and alcohol themes from Book 1. I was glad to see movement and resolution in these storylines and development of the characters.

The 3rd book has been set up at the end of Book 2 and look forward to seeing where this storyline is headed. Thank you to the Author, Scarlet Lantern Publishing and BookSprout for the opportunity of reviewing this story. I am voluntarily reviewing and giving my unbiased opinion of a complimentary eARC.

Second book in a series of at least 3 books with a story of 4 roommates who deal with issues of college and life's hardships while in a relationship with each other. Their story starts in book 1, RoomHates, and should be read prior to this book. These stories are amazing and how they try to help each other is realistic and heartbreaking. This story will pull at all your emotions and you feel everything these characters feel. A good book 2, cannot wait until the next one.

I’m going to admit this surprised me. For a RH novel it delved into some deeper issues. Grief, addiction, depression and sexual assault were all highlighted. As this is set on a college campus the topics were on point, just unexpected. However it helped take this book from being your typical RH quartet to a story with much deeper meaning. The fact that I hated these guys in the previous book and they are now my favourite of this trope speaks volumes of how well the author wrote this.
On this topic I will say I dropped the rating by a star because the editing was so poor. I’m not a stickler for perfect grammar but there were way too many issues. The very first paragraph had the world flying instead of fly so it didn’t bode well.

I struggled with this book. I like the overall concept of the story but got very frustrated with the constant bickering and Hunter's role or lack thereof in this book. I get it, he is lost and feeling sorry for himself, but he did not need to drag on and bring the whole book down. Some interesting characters and situations are all that saved this story for me. I started and stopped reading this story multiple times because it was not a 'fun or relaxing read'.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Rachel, Seth, Lucas and Hunter. This story deals with the gang learning more about each other and their little idiosyncrasies. Hunter is dealing with the stress of his mom's rediagnosis, Rachel is dealing with the backlash from filing a report against Josh and Lucas and Seth are having their own issues. They're each building up their personal repertoire for the summer, Rachel working to become an intern at the Louvre, Hunter getting the help he needs, Lucas getting his writing down and Seth doing his thing.

It is Rachel's 2nd year living with her roommates/boyfriends but their relationship is going through some troubles. Will Rachel, Seth Lucas and Hunter be able to survive another year living together and will their relationship be able to survive those troubles?

I enjoyed this book, it can be read as a standalone but reading the 1st book would help fully understand some parts of the story.

It's about Rachel renting out a room with three guys that she start to have a relationship with. At first the guys were just pigs and they did everything to make Rachel feel unwanted. It starts out with all of them going to Colorado for a ski trip. When Rachel gets back from the sky trip she doesn't feel comfortable around Josh after what he did to her. Everything that Hunter did for his mom and then losing her. Now it's about her and the guys to work on there new relationship and see what works for them. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

In this book we see Rachel, Seth, Hunter and Lucas meet up to go skiing before the semester starts again. When things with Hunter start to get twisty. As we see Hunter spiral we also see Rachel have to face a few things and come out stronger the other side.
This book is also filled with many Steamy moments that will have you grabbing the nearest fan to cool off. Plus that ending after everything they all needed that!! Can't wait for book three now.

I enjoy this series but am really bothered by the spelling mistakes and typos. I’m also not sure about the depth of the actual relationships between the characters. They love Rachel but I feel like they hardly ever even spend time together other than having sex. She seems super weak and they all barely seem to even know each other. I will continue to read on though.
I’m super sad for Hunter thoroughout this story and I’m glad it deals with real life issues in such a way.

Great continuation..

Character building is good, and the plot is going along great. It deals with some real life issues that complicate relationships, and makes the relationships grow and change. Can't wait for book 3 now.

I did have an issue with this book and that waswas the lack of editing! There were a ton of mistakes that shouldn't have been there. That was very frustrating for me. It really should be revised and corrected.

Enjoyed But Frustrating

I loved the themes of this book as it deals a lot with what happened to the main character in the first book and one of the boys having problems he’s working through where he used alcohol and drugs to cope. It was very frustrating to read watching as he pushes everyone who cares about him away but it’s that much better when he finds a way back to his friends.

Roommates is book two of the Bro House series and boy did this book deliver!!!

All the heartache and angst as Hunter looses his way and spirals into darkness.

This book just had my utter and complete attention and has me on the edge of my seat anxiously awaiting the next installment of this series.

That blatant misogyny though… was quite painful to get through and had some themes about reporting sexual violence that really bothered me. Typos galore as well. Was still better than the first book ad the plot ended up being more than just the heroine being bullied like in Book One, which was a 1* read for me.

This one did not really do it for me but the writing was really good and the flow from one scene to the next was really smooth. The story I though was a bit bland but the sexiness of the story shown through. I understood where Miss Black was trying to take me and all in all it was a good read!

The author has a good writing style and the story flows well. This second book is a slight improvement over the first book in the series in terms of character development. However, the characters are still on the immature side and continue to play games where their affections are concerned.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Rachel rented a room at the ‘brohouse’ yet they tried to make her miserable. Slowly Seth, Lucas, and Hunter started showing her that they liked her. It became so hot, passionate, desire and lust.

Once again, I could not put this book down! Roommates mostly covers Hunters story. The entire plot is entertaining and has your heart hurting for Hunter. His character really goes through the ringer and I couldn't stop reading til I saw what happened with him. The RH scenes are super hot and plentiful. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

I liked this but it felt like they weren’t as much of a couple because it was focusing more on their own problems rather than the relationship. Like Hunter was basically cheating on Rachel and was so rude to her and I know he was going through a lot but I hated it and she wasn’t even mad like I know she wanted to help but he was so bad to her.
