Jade just wants to get through the year in one piece.

Leo has rejoined the academy, but what’s with the secret meetings between him and Jade’s new tutor? And what does it have to do with the druid academies falling?

One thing is clear – Jade isn’t the only wolf keeping secrets. Will one secret too many spell the end of the Fur ‘n’ Fang Academy?

You’ll love this Shifter Academy adventure, because every young woman has a hero inside of her she didn’t know existed.

This is book two of the Fur ‘n’ Fang Academy series and the main character is Jade, a normal human who found herself bitten by an out of control werewolf, which lead to her being imprisoned in the academy dungeons for a good few weeks until she realised she had to stay to learn control over her wolf, before she hurt any innocents. Unfortunately, the other ‘bitten’ who were turned after her, didn’t quite come to the same conclusion and managed to escape by using magic. Magic that she realises she has as well. It seems that not only was she infected with a rage curse when she was bitten, but the one who bit her was also a druid, a half breed or hybrid as they prefer to be called. Now, her second year at the academy is made even more intense as she has to undergo secret lessons for her magic control, as well as all the other pressures of her studies and life with only a few friends, such as Cam, Mei and Dean. But Dean is still trying his hardest to be with Madison, as their father, who are alphas of their packs, want of them, even though Madison is nowhere near good enough for him!

To add to all the problems she has, another one is added with the presence of Leo, the werewolf accused of biting her and others last year, has finally been found not guilty and has been sent to the academy to learn control of his wolf, rather than remain at Dragondale Academy, with his girlfriend Kelsey, the true culprit! She doesn’t take kindly to his presence, but when she loses Dean to Madison’s team in a law class mock trial exercise, she picks Leo to be part of her team with Mei and Cam. She is already an outcast and so is Mei due to her shifter form not being that of a wolf, and Cam for being so close to Jade, but if her fellow students knew she had druid powers as well, then life would be even more dangerous. She has no pack of her own, as most consider her a cur and beneath their consideration, and even though she spent the holidays with Cam’s pack in the Scottish Highlands, she was only a guest. Now rumours are being heard of discontent and uprisings amongst some of the packs. It seems someone is wanting to unseat Alpha Blake, the head of the Academy and the Alpha of Alphas, if he can’t control what is happening. It doesn’t help that the missing bitten have still evaded being caught.

Jade overhears discussions between her secret magic tutor, a druid professor at Dragondale Academy for Druids, and Leo, to do with some of the other druid academies having fallen, after attacks from Raphael, the druid who released the rage curse upon the world, along with clans of wolves working with him, to gain the druids sources of elemental power! Various dangerous events occur within the academy buildings and in its grounds, which put students and teachers alike in peril. Jade suspects Leo to begin with, but it is someone much closer and trusted who is betraying them all. Another wolf in the academy is keeping dangerous secrets and being forced to do the will of their pack alpha. Secrets shared make Jade and her friends so much stronger working together to face off against all the problems she seems to attract, or simply happen to be in the wrong place at the right time to defend what has now become her family and her new life. She may not have had a choice to become what she is now, but she is beginning to come to the realisation that maybe she does belong at the academy, but her future after she graduates is still uncertain. Cam tries to bring a hint of romance to their relationship and this ends in a few humorous situations. Can’t wait to see where their relationship goes and what happens with Mei’s crush. Another story full of ups and downs, action and injury, love and betrayal, with highpoints and lows all part of the mix. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.

We have mystery, suspense, trust issues, action and more. Jade spent the summer with her boyfriend Cam over the summer now they are back at the Academy. Happy to see her all her friends and sharing the same room again. She is still an outcast by some of the students and of course her main enemy is still has an attitude about her being bitten and not a born wolf. Of course one of her best friends is dating her. Leo has returned to the Academy and does not want to be there. Can they trust him? He's an outcast too. Then there's Dean. What is going on with him? They hardly see him, even with his girlfriend. She is still keeping a secret and now has to take an extra class. What will happen if her friends find out? Can they figure out what is going on with Dean? What is really happening at the other Academies? Will it come to theirs? What will the Alpha of Alpha's do when he finds out about what's going on?

Looking forward to more by this author

I like this series so far especially the characters and their loyalty to one another. The book has great action scenes which are well described. Jade is a strong character with definite ideas about friendship, right and wrong and justice. She stands up for her friends and what she believes - sometimes to her detriment. Her acceptance of people for who not what they are is admirable. Despite Jade's inability to see and acknowledge that she is not the only casualty of what happened to her, she has a willingness to sacrifice herself to ensure the safety of her friends and school. Even when the odds are against her she perseveres. The politics and prejudices of the shifter world are interesting. The author provides a glimpse of the power and control of the Alpha on the pack members individually and as a whole and how the decisions he makes impacts them. There are a few grammatical errors but they are not so plentiful to distract from the story

I loved this story and was glued to it until finishing despite needing to do other things. The main female character, although having been turned into a wolf shifter against her will, is strong, loyal, hard working, and has a strong belief of what is right despite history of shifter law. Her friends, teachers, classmates and enemies are very well described and the plot and sub-plots are very well defined and fit into one another very well. The world building is well done and the grammar and writing are nice too. I am ready to read the next year of Jade and her friend's schooling at Fur ‘n’ Fang.

Fantastic shifter academy series, I loved reading book two, learning more at the fur n fangs academy and all the mystery and secrets to uncover with being a shifter. A great paranormal romance story filled with action, drama, intrigue, adventure, romance, friendship and an ending making me want to read the next book to find out what happens next in this series. Well written, strong diverse brilliantly developed characters with amazingly strong chemistry and a great gripping magical storyline.

Jade and her friends are back for another year at school and of course things are not as they seem. Mystery and danger seems to be lurking and things are not quite in the shifter world. Just a fun book that builds up to the finale as things heat up and secrets need to be unearthed. Just another story in the series that was so hard to put down. Drew me in and kept me reading to the end to see what Jade would have to face this time and how she would end up in the middle of it. Loved it.

Year two of the side effects of being bitten by a werewolf and went to werewolf university. Who knew the werewolf that bit was also part druid. That not only makes you a "cur" for being a bitten wolf. But also a hybrid for having multiple talents. Not good in the shifter world. Then for the cherry on top, someone is trying to usurp the balance of power between the druids and wolves and start a war. Fun times at the university.

Jade and her friends have started year two at the academy and she is even busier now that she has magic lessons. Then the Druidic Academies come under attack and strange things start to go wrong at Fur ‘n Fang. Once again Jade, Cam, Mai and Dean (with some help from Leo) are right in the middle of everything. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

As Jade settles into year 2 her love of law, fairness and justice take centre stage. A rough year with challenges to overcome but strong friendships prevail.

I previously read book 1 and I enjoyed this book as much as the first. Cant wait for book 3.

Strongly recommend this book
