While I have read no other books on learning a language to compare it to, I found this definitely enjoyable. Also it has a really fast pace that doesn't make you bored at all, and you're always on to new stuff.
I hurried through this one a bit, did not do all the exercises. The book is pretty good, builds up nicely, explains well. Norwegian is a fun language to learn and not overly hard for a Dutch speaker like me (nor is it for English speakers). The CD's are lousy though, way to much English explanation, they are boring to listen to more than once.
