Well illustrated and researched treatise on Meissen porcelain. Particularly detailed and useful description of the early years to 1750. Plenty of nice colour full page photos. The only criticism is the author’s view that all the post 1750 creations have been banal and of no artistic merit - a view with which I disagree. Post 1750 gets about five pages out of 120. So for the early years this book gets five stars but the cursory analysis of 250 years of history loses it a star.
