Following the departure of Anthony and Tomas, their wives are left to raise their sons alone. Ransomed Hearts picks up the story in the late 1970s, as the boys realise what they are and what they can be.
Born in the North of England at the tail end of the baby boom, Jeanette was brought up by her mum, stepdad, grandparents and the local library. She stayed in North West England for her degrees (in environment and pollution related subjects) before spending a brief stint in London. She came back to Lancashire as the Berlin Wall fell, bringing with her a Yorkshireman who she later married. She's spent the last thirty years in a variety of jobs and volunteer roles, and is the author of the Ransomed Hearts series about a family of shapeshifters in Lancashire.
The Ransomed Hearts story continues. This is a story of complex relationships, a successful rock band, and of course of life rendered both exciting and dangerous because many of the players are werewolves. The story is engaging and the characters are rounded and authentic. Jeanette Greaves’ writing creates a sensual film in the reader’s head. She keeps us enthralled. I’m looking forward to the next book.
The second book in the Randsomed Hearts Series follows the sons of Antony and Tomas as they pursue fame and fortune in a rock band they have created. The story develops into a web of complex love, lust and thorny entanglement leading to the birth of the next werewolf generation. A captivating read with memorable, intriguing characters.
