A solid introduction to the nuts and bolts of Montessori based education. The practical portion (activities, developmental descriptions, etc.) focus on children ages birth to 3. My twins are 4.5, so this portion was not as relevant for me. However, part one's overview of basic Montessori theory and tenants was very helpful.
This was an interesting, short read, but a bit too concise for my liking. I would have liked more details and suggestions. A great intro for those who aren't as familiar with Montessori and want to see if it may be the right option for them.
Informative if you have very little experience with Montessori or teaching. Having read it after reading The Montessori Baby/Toddler/Child series it was not a lot of new information, but was helpful in reminding me of opportunities to capitalize upon at work. P
Quick easy read- great for people just starting to explore Montessori. I’ve read a lot of Montessori books and was still able to gain a few ideas from this book
