When I found out Ebonee was getting her own book, I was over the moon. I have been impatiently waiting on this book to drop since Nicole Falls first mentioned it on Facebook. As soon as I got off work, I curled up in my bed and started reading this book. Unfortunately, f*ck around and find out did not live up to the hype I was expecting. I'm not a fan of the older woman younger man troupe. Other than sex, I have a hard understanding what a 39 year old divorced woman with kids and a 29 year old man would have in common. I didn't like Ebonee and Floyd as a couple. They just didn't resonate with me. The author would refer to Ebonee's daughters as the girls or the kids as if they weren't twins and had different birthdays. She made the statement, "Ted came to Lilly's 9th birthday party." You mean the twins birthday party?!!! Surely if Lilly is nine then, Amaryllis is nine as well. She also made the twins seem younger than what they were. At the BBQ, she said the girls said they could make their own plate. They're nine years old. Why wouldn't they be able to make their own plate?!!! Then, when they were at the weekend getaway at Martha's Vineyard, she made the comment about Floyd being insistent about renting bikes when he found out the girls could ride bikes without training wheels. What nine year old doesn't know how to ride a bike without training wheels?!!! This type of confusion is why I thought the twins were much younger in the beginning of the book. It felt like, at times, the author forgot what she wrote. We never found out how Emory felt about Ebonee and Floyd's relationship. Clearly he was okay with it but, one would assume, if his best friend and his sister started dating, a conversation would've been had amongst the three of them. Given how phenomenal F*ck and Fall in Love was, I was expecting to be wowed by f*ck around and find out and I was not. I'm a disappointed I did not enjoy this book as much as I thought I would.

Ayyye this was really good. In general, I am not a fan of Older Women/Younger Man Age gaps, but I enjoyed this one. Love had not been kind to Ebonee, having dealt with a cheating azz uncooperative ex husband and a failed relationship after that, to say sis was on edge was an understatement. However, when her younger brothers bff Floyd moves to her town they have unexpected chemistry. I loved how the seasons of their relationship unfolded and the way it was incorporated at the end...chefs kiss 😘.

Floyd was extremely mature. I loved how he calmly talked with her. He was so respectful when correcting her and leading her to a different way of thinking.
For this to be a short, this was well written.

older heroine, younger hero romance where these two just SCREAMS!!! floyd and ebonée were so very special, their love story made my heart swoon and I had a smile all throughout the book. definitely recommend it to every single person.

also, let's add my younger brother's best friend trope!!! because oof. so this book is about ebonée and one day she gets a call from her brother, asking her to meet his bestie so she can show him around. ebonée knows who floyd is, but never really thought about how he would look now!!! instant attraction, but ebonée is like oh god no I'm a single mom of two and he doesn't want anything to do with that, but these two's communication is so healthy!! so ofc they talk it out and from that point on, everything is just so good and romantic as heck.

more on the healthy communication: i mean they talk about everything, every confusing feeling, every little thing that bothers them, and WE DONT GET MISCOMMUNICATION BECAUSE OF HEALTHY COMMUNICATION!! yup i loved their relationship 10/10.

it's also really sexy *fire emoji* floyd is all flirts and smiles and *grabby hands* where is my floyd!!!!!

4.5!
Super cute story. I loved the easiness of Ebonee’s & Floyd’s relationship. No big dramatic fight had to happen for them to realize they loved one another. It was just a mutual understanding and flow of love & passion between the two. Of course, there were some doubts along the way, but I loved the healthy communication dynamic of their relationship and how matters were easily discussed and smoothed out.
One thing that did bother me was that we as readers never learned how Emory felt about Ebonee’s & Floyd’s relationship. It would’ve been nice to get his view on it since he is the reason they reconnected and he is Ebonee’s brother & Floyd’s best friend!

A must read! This book could be every woman's dream to find a man that truly adores her and her children, even after a bad breakup. Not to mention, be a phenomenal lover! She was truly his crush because it showed itself in what I love to call, "A Gentleman's Fuck".
Men, there are more ways to get EVERYTHING you want from one woman if you make love to her mind and heart first.

Representation: black romance, older woman/younger man, black artist

Thoughts: when i tell you this is one of the best romances ive read. im not even lying! from the beginning i was hooked!! younger brothers bestfriend!? chile sign me up. floyd is the man all girls dream about. and the way he was so patient with ebonée when it came to her kids and her asshat ex husband. i loved the conversations these two had and the relationship they built. ugh i need more of this story because it wasnt long enough at all but it gave me all the feels and the emotions. that man would do anything for his women.

I wasn't prepared to cry.

This was a beautiful love story between Ebonee' and Floyd. I was not prepared for the romance and sweetness from Floyd, especially considering he's younger. I definitely wasn't ready for it to end. Loved catching up with Jane and Nigel. Glad to see Jane is still a wild one.

Relatable Romance

I didn’t love the first book in the series, so I went into this one with low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I loved the way Falls addressed how challenging dating can be for single moms. Also, how a lot of single moms have to depend on their own mothers to help with the child rearing. That is incredibly relatable to me. I also enjoyed that this delivered a complete story despite it being novella length. It didn’t leave me feeling like it was too rushed. I liked how comfortable Floyd was going after what he wants as well as dealing with stressful situations. He came off as mature enough to easily handle being with an older woman. That was very attractive. My only gripe is that Falls has a tendency to toss in a lot SAT vocabulary words like she’s Michael Eric Dyson. While I have an extensive vocabulary and have no issues keeping up, it does extinguish a little bit of the heat in the intimate scenes. It takes away from the provocative nature of her books.

4.5 ☆
This was a cute little novella, with an age gap. I enjoyed this story; it was easy and quick to read. If you want a Black romance, with no drama and some spice, I highly recommend this book.

The audiobook was great because Wesleigh Siobhan narrated it, and I love her! Her male voice is everything to me. I listened at 2x speed.

Loved it!!!

Ebonees brother BFF just moved to the area and her brother asked her to attend his event and show him around. Showing up at Floyd event, Ebonee wasn't expecting him to look how he looked. Hanging out and talking, Ebonee found out Floyd liked her so they hooked up and feelings grew. Eb and Flo fling turned into a relationship and I was here for it. This book had me feeling the love from the beginning between Eb and Flo. I loved them as a couple and becoming a couple. The chemistry was strong and they were great for each other. Nicole Falls knows how to write a love story that you feel off the pages!!! Great read, I'm sad to see them go!!

FAFO

Ebonee and Floyd f*ck sessions turned into more than Eb found out. A birthday wish turned Floyd’s teenage crush into his full grown woman and ever after. I loved their sex scenes but some parts in the book had me uninterested but her wordplay was on point.

Let me tell you something Fck Around and Find Out had no business being this good. Ebonée was just trying to recover from her ex and mind her business… and here comes Floyd, built like peace and orgasms, ready to apply pressure. And babyyy, APPLY IT HE DID.*

The man is fine, employed, emotionally intelligent, AND loves on her kids like they’re his own? Yeah, I was folding by chapter three. This book gave grown & sexy, healing & spicy, and a man who knows how to move in silence… until it’s time to make noise (and he makes noise, okay?!).

Nicole Falls, girl, you owe me nothing. I laughed, blushed, and might’ve added Floyd to my fictional roster. Book 3, you’re on the clock!

Absolutely adorable

Loved everything about this book, the storyline, the chemistry, the laughter, the love. I was glad that Jane gave Ebonee balance and not allow her to overthink the blossoming of love between her and Floyd. I loved that their nickname was Eb and Flo. Don't let the length of this book throw you because the author owes us nothing. She did it without the fluff or unnecessary drama. This read was refreshing. Still working through her catalog.

I loved this novella too! So much emotion packed into this story. It's a touch forbidden, but honestly this book delivered just the story I needed. He's her brothers childhood friend, and she's the older girl he always had a crush on. She's hard to trust me after being burned, and he's so damn understanding and patient. I loved them together. And yes, it's sexy AF.

Loved it!

One time for the older woman/younger man love story! I really enjoyed Eb and Flo’s story. And it took place in the DMV (shoutout to Upper Marlboro!), so that made it even better.

Great job, Nicole Falls!

Rumble young man, rumble!

I see you Floyd! I didn’t know who would be Eb’s love interest, but Floyd was perfect for her. He smoothed her edges and she met every need he had, even ones he wasn’t aware of. Side note: Deuce at his big age needed to get on the good foot LOL.

Love!

I absolutely loved that this was high on heat and low on angst. I found myself smiling through most of the book because I genuinely liked BOTH of the main characters and was rooting for them from the start.

Another hot read

Ebonee went through a divorce and a bad breakup so the last thing she wanted was another relationship especially not one with her your brothers best friend. Floyd however was not willing to let his childhood crush get away again, it didn't matter to him that she was 10 years older and with two kids, he wanted Ebonee period.

This friends and lovers series has been hot. Ebonee and Floyds chemistry was so hot I could feel it from their interactions. Ebonee was definitely on her Stella got her groove back and I was here for it. I loved how Floyd stepped up and got Ebonee together when she tried to exclude him from decisions and helping her. Gotta love a man who will come in and help a woman with her kids without being asked. This was a quick read but as usual Nicole is the Novella Queen so I was left wanting more because the story was good but it wasn’t incomplete

4.5 Stars! I loved this story and love it even more now that it is an audio! The older woman/younger man trope isn’t my favorite but I love it here! Floyd was grown grown! Glad him and Ebonée could finally be together! Also some good lessons on how to not let other control your mood or situation. No one should have that type of power over you!

F*ck Around and Find Out by Nicole Falls is about loan officer Ebonée and visual artist Floyd. Floyd recently moved to DC to create a seasonal based art constellation. Ebonée has been living in DC for awhile so her younger brother Emory tasks her with the job of showing his homie around town. When Ebonée and Floyd meet for the first time in years, sparks fly. Ebonée cannot believe she’s attracted to her younger brothers best friend who’s 10 years her junior. The age-gap don’t even matter, Floyd is giving grown man energy!!! Ebonée can’t resist and like her bestie Jane I am here for it!! Whew 🥵 Floyd and Ebonée are nasty 🤤 Floyd loves to eat and he be putting it DOWN! It’s what Ebonée deserves!! Ebonée is a single mother of 2 daughters but mama gotta have a life too! Floyd’s loving has Ebonée rearranging her schedule 👀 This book has its sweet moments too, Uncle Floyd love the kids. This book is hot and heartwarming 🥰 Eb and Flo provide all the feels, no struggle love to be found!

Oh, where do I even start with this masterpiece? Picture this: a book so engaging, it’s like your best friend spilling the tea on the juiciest love story—black love in its finest, most radiant form, and a lesson in living in the moment that you didn’t know you needed. Falls crafts a tale so concise, it’s like she’s the queen of literary economization, but every page pops with flavor and fervor. My first adventure with her writing, and wow, did it resonate! She didn’t just tell a story; she delivered life lessons wrapped in the warmth of romance, like finding that perfect spot in the sun on a chilly day. With wisdom as dazzling as a diamond casually left on a park bench, Falls has officially got me hooked. Reading this book was like attending the coolest, most intimate concert of my life, where every note played was meant just for me. Nicole, you had me at ‘Hello,’ and taught me to savor the ‘Now.’ Here’s to living in the moment, and here’s to you, Nicole Falls, for being the conductor of this beautiful symphony.
