I love fantasy, adventure, and magic. More than that, I adore my readers.

My books are written to entertain -- fantasy adventures filled with compelling characters, spectacular magic, thrilling action, constant intrigue, and a sense of discovery. I equate them to the "Marvel Movie" version of fiction, intended to be a fun escape.

I would love to have you join me and my quirky characters for one outrageous adventure after another. With over a million published words, my author journey has just begun.

Best wishes,
Jeff

If The Wheel of Time and Six of Crows had a baby with a touch of The Riftwar Saga's fast moving action and Mistborn flair...
this is how it would read!

Legend of the Sky Sword is the second instalment of the Fall of Wizardoms series picking up right after the events of book 1. And it is even better than book 1.

With the Order of Sol taken over by dark elves who are plotting to rule the world, events are set in motion that threaten not only the Wizardoms and humanity as a whole, but also the fate of all magical beings.

The world is changing, the tides are turning and darkness and chaos are threatening the land. Toppled thrones send two wizardoms into chaos and the ambitious strive to claim power while new gods rise to replace the old.
The newborn princess of Pallanar is abducted, triggering a desperate search led by her wizard father, who will do anything to get his daughter back.
The magical races of old seem to be loosing their magic, as well as their ability to bear children.

And what's more?
The Seers, blind to prophecy for the very first time, have left their home in search for answers. But when those are found, the nightmarish vision bringing them shocks everyone.

A darkness comes. Should it claim the elves, it will advance until it consumes the southern wizardoms.
The only hope lies in finding the Caelum Edge, the only weapon able to defeat the darkness.

A terrifying prophecy. A royal abduction. And the desperate search for a legendary blade. This is how our tale begins.
With a small band of misfits facing impossible odds smack down in the middle of it all, of course.

Brogan and Blythe go with King Kollin of Pallenor in search for his newborn daughter, while Jace, Narine, Crusser and Harlequin, accompanied by the dwarf Loggadon set off to find the Caelum Edge, according to the prophecy of the Seers.
Both daunting tasks full of perils that our heroes will have to brave.

The Caelum Edge, or 'the kale thingy' as far as Jace is concerned, is a sword of course. Not just any sword, according to Loggadon, but the greatest sword of all time. And finding it may not be the only problem our heroes will face. Cast from the core of a fallen star, it is known to have taken the lives of all those who tried to wield it.

This time around the tasks may be a bit too difficult for our motley group of misfits to brave. Especially since they've already started to feel as if they were 'the harbingers of doom.' Each place they visit they come bearing news that breaks hearts and destroys belief.

"We all come into this world alone and are bound to die in the same manner. What happens in between defines who we are, not whether we do it with someone at our side."
"You forget the ride Cruss. Those at our side make it more rewarding."

The Fall of Wizardoms series is epic fantasy at it's best. And I'm not saying this lightly.

It's epic, vivid and jam-packed with action full of unpredictable twists. The wordbuilding is excellent, the pace tight and steadily rising, the tone wonderfully balanced and the characters as great as they can be.
I love Crusser and Harlequin just as much as Jace and Narine, with Brogan and Blythe not far behind. Each and every one of them with their special style and charm.

Magic and danger, friendship and betrayal, topped with a solid dose of humour and witty banter, as well as a cast of fully fleshed wonderful characters to absolutely root for. This book has it all!
Wild edge-of-the-seat adventure and twists that you will NOT see coming will have you biting your nails at times, while the fabulous character dynamic will make you chuckle even when the odds are despairing.

All in all, The Fall of Wizardoms series is a damn fine fantasy I count among my all-time favourites. And I highly recommend it to all fantasy fans out there.

This is one of the most intricate and intriguing series Ii have ever read, it is epic fantasy at its best and I for one, cannot have enough of the adventures our heroic cast of characters embark on! In this book Queen Priella and Kollin her consort, are expecting a child, but once she is born, she gets abducted and Kollin travels to the far shores of Rykestan to try and get her back. He knows not the reason behind her abduction or the people who had ordered this. On the other hand our group of friends travel together first with the seers, who upon finding out their God was dead, left their home for the first time believing now they could not see prophecy any longer until what they saw horrified everyone. Then they traveled to Silvacris where they met up with old friends. They had a quest to follow up on, the finding of the Caelum Edge, the greatest sword of all time, and the only thing according to the seer Xionne which would ward off the darkness threatening their world. So whilst Kollin, Brogan and Blythe traveled to Rykesten in search of Koriella, Narine, Jace, Harley, Crusser, Tygalas and Loggadon traveled to Ghealdor in search of the blade. Furthermore wizards fell, and other wizards took the place of the fallen with both the Druids and the Order pulling the strings they needed to bring new Gods to replace those who had fallen. At one point Narine felt that wherever they went all they brought was bad news leading to despair, first to Dianza, the high priestess of Farrow, then to the seers of Kelmar, to the elves of Silvacris and to the dwarfs of Ghen Aeldor. The seers had fled but those beings of magic like the elves and the dwarfs would soon be wiped out of existence now that their god was dead. However they would not go without a fight, both groups were tackling their new life situation in their own way in order to survive and they had our group of heroes to help them. I cannot wait to read book 3 in this very exciting, heart stopping, action filled series as it looks like the adventures are far from over!

To recap book 1, the Order of Sol was taken over by dark elves who are plotting to rule the world, and who caused the kingdoms of Farrowen and Ghealdor to fall into the hands of men (and women) controlled by the Order. In the sequel, King Reagor of Ghealdor has to solidify his reign and stand up to the wizards who refuse to accept him as a legitimate ruler, especially since he ordered all magic users to leave the kingdom. Strange things are also happening in Pallenor and the newborn princess is kidnapped. The Seers have left the only home they've ever known and traveled to the land of the elves only to be shocked by a new prophecy that causes them to flee for their lives. And many of the magical races of old seem to be losing their magic...and their abilities to bear children. Will this be the end of all magical beings?

Jace, Narine, Harlequin, and Crusser are joined by several new companions (including a few old friends) and brave danger (as always) to find the dwarves of old and a legendary sword. Narine and Harlequin may be my new favorite pairing - their verbal sparring is ridiculous and fantastic. King Kollin of Pallenor learns more about his new kingdom as he searches for his daughter. My heart broke when he finally found her only to lose her again.

Many things are lost never to be regained. Secrets creep closer to the light. And by the end of the book, hope feels elusive. Things are changing. But can our motley crew of heroes turn the tides of evil and prophecy? One can only hope.

I edited this book, but reviewed it anyway because I liked it.

This series has everything you ever want in fantasy fiction, I feel I have run out of superlatives to describe them, when I started this book I had constant interruptions (family) but then I managed to get some time to myself and I just read and read, was so deep in fantasy land it came as a shock when I realised I was on the last page, now I have to wait for the next one, which from the point of view of housework is probably a good thing.
There are new characters, a lot of surprises, not all pleasant by any means, twists and turns galore, but the central characters are there in the most part, this series does need to be read in order though to really appreciate the skill of the author, 5 stars are not enough!

I continue to enjoy the Wizardoms book in this next series. He has created main characters that are all special and likable in their own way. They're always off on some quest, trying to do good, but the world is always in chaos around them and they start to question themselves. I love the world he's created, too, and I look forward to more stories and more characters possibly coming back in.

I literally read this book in one sitting! As the 2nd in the series  the story gets better and better. The Heroes are once again propelled to be harbingers of doom, as they to the various species to gather help. They meet up with their friends, to a brief happy reunion yet none can linger. The fate of the entire world rests in their hands. Nadine and Jace face countless obstacles and their characters are interesting and strong, very likable. Harlequin remains one of my favorite characters, I love her jibes and how she marches to her own drum. Jeffrey has depicted each character so realistically, their fears, their hope and challenges and their ultimate goal flows so beautifully within the storytelling that it's easy to get caught up in and feel part of their world, a great storyteller. The betrayal, the deception and the subjugation of the various entities to achieve their goals had me turning page after page. Descriptive, interesting and at times emotional, this book is a great read. Looking forward to the next installment of a wonderful series

Fantastic
Since the death of the gods things have become unsettled and the rule of the wizards is coming apart at the seams. The elves and dwarfs are not having many children and the druids are trying to take over. The king's newborn daughter is kidnapped. The seers say things aren't looking very good especially for those with magical powers. Jace and his companions seek the sky sword with the hope that it will help to eliminate the dark monsters trying to take over. There is a lot of action along the twisted paths to the end of this book.
I received this book as an ARC.

Absolutely intriguing. There is a sword that needs to be found, that has been missing for a long time. How will it ever be found and in time. Once you start reading you are completely absorbed in the book.

This epic fantasy was an excellent read. Our heroes are on a dangerous quest to find a magical sword and then fight against the darkness that threatens everything. Blind seers and a terrifying prophecy, dark elves hoping to rule the world, dwarves and elves losing their magic and becoming barren, an abducted princess, betrayals and deception, and so many surprising twists and turns. Despite fears for the future there is love, friendship and humour – a wonderfully written book that is hard to put down.

As the druids try to take over the world the group of unlikely heroes embark on a journey to find a sword that might save it. The seers are blind to the future and seek out the elves but it may be too late. This book is full of action, plot twists and turns. As always the author does not disappoint when weaving a story.

Picks up right after book 1. So much is happening and the action doesn't really stop. A newborn princess is kidnapped and the Seers have left their home, only to flee again. Jace and Nadine are joined by new friends and even some old ones. What will happen next?? I for one can't wait to find out.

This second book of the series is another edge of your seat roller coaster ride you don't want to miss! A search for an abducted princess. The realm of Elves in danger. Quest for a magical sword. And a dose of humor here and there, makes for a clever well crafted story with continuous twists and turns. Totally addictive! Can't wait for the next book.........

Magical Entertainment

That was even better than the first, as the story continues we find our friends are still on the run. Another new threat to the eight worlds of the wizardoms, the Druids, elves and their new god queen and a highly powerful one at that. New prophecies come to light, our crew of heroes is forced to fight for their lives, all in their desperate attempt to save the world from an encroaching darkness. We take a trip back to Shadowmar Castle, where we took a visit in one of the short stories from the previous series, where Jerrel stuck a long sword up a minotaurs arse eight years back, with the skeletal remains still there, sword and all, the crew thought that Jerrel was over exaggerating with his stories of legend, absolutley brilliant and so funny. This time there back for a Legendary sword that could be vital to their cause, with murder, death and destruction still strife in the eight Wizardoms, what's next for our heroes. Very entertaining, hilarious, the camaraderie between the heroes is amazing, the plot worldbuilding and setting will have you wanting more. Another cracking preformence from narrator Travis Baldree with his fantastic range and voices for the characters, highly recommended....😁

These books are just getting better and better. I thoroughly enjoyed this second instalment in the Fall of Wizardoms series. Considering I took quite a long break after finishing the previous book, I had absolutely no trouble getting back into the swing of it.

For the most part, the characters remain the same as in previous books, which made it pretty easy to keep up and there are many fun elements to the story, especially Jace and Nareen who are a bit like the heart of it all for me.

The plot really kept going. I didn't feel a lull at any point even though much was covered. The author manages to propel things forward continuously and the battle-scenes in particular were exceptionally well written. I loved the monsters! Some really interesting and unusual creatures (or takes on beasts that make them unique), which kept the crew on their toes and me very much entertained.

I felt so many emotions reading this novel. There were surprises I didn't see coming that actually made me gasp out loud. There are heart-rending moments where things don't at all go as I had hoped they might, and those surprises were particularly poignant because it's rare for an author to not do the expected thing even if they take a few twists to get to that. This author just barges right through those moments of convention and although they were hard to read, they make the story so much more powerful because you can't alway rescue the abducted princess or save the race doomed to destruction. I appreciate Kohanek for taking the unexpected route.

The hint dropped at the end of this volume regarding the grand scheme of those causing trouble in the background definitely has me bent on continuing as soon as possible because I need to know what happens next.

If you love epic fantasy and want something that really shows an impeccable level of worldbuilding along with great characters, you'll want to get the Fate of Wizardoms series and then keep going with this Fall of Wizardoms because the intricacies of this series of events are wonderful and entertaining.

Fantasy Adventure Continues +17 Read

*** Parents: Due to content level this series would probably be in the R range for movies. While the bad language was mild, there was pretty descriptive gore in the action scenes, lots of sexualized scenes and content throughout- naked bodies, descriptions of breasts and female forms, male "member" hardness, and being grabbed or groped, and lots of insinuations of pleasure but no true sex scenes in this book.

This is book two and picks up where book one left off. These books do not stand alone and need to be read in order. Warnings aside, yes this is geared towards the adult reader that likes an action packed, adventure with magicians, dwarves and other magical characters. Book two really delves a lot more into the characters we liked from the first book and adds a few more. There's lots of drama around the ascention of rulers, a very foreboding prophecy that will guide this adventure beyond book two. I really liked how the world building is taken farther out in new areas that they explore. Readers will be drawn into these books if they like epic fantasies-- this series does make me think of a fun mix of The Lord of the Rings and the tv show Reign.

Just as in the first book the narrator did a great job with all the voice differentiations and acting, although I did have to speed it up to 1.3 x speed because it just felt a little slow.

This is adventure, intrigue and action from cover to cover!

Legend of the Sky Sword picks up right where God King Rising left off, and it brings the reader along like an avalanche - there's no stopping it!

Sure, the tale has its comical moments of relief (that hammock scene!! And Jace alone with the dwarves! To anyone who eats or drinks while reading - you have been warned!), but the tension always lingers in the background as events unfold. And here is a story that not only affects humans, but elves and dwarves; indeed, the entire world is involved... and at stake.

New prophecies come to light, and our crew of heroes is forced to split into two groups - one off to relocate a child, the other to find a legendary weapon, all in their desperate attempt to save the world from an encroaching darkness.

Packed with blood-pumping action, beautifully crafted characters (with equally fabulous and, at times, downright hilarious interactions), and a sweeping storyline that grips you from start to finish - this book has it all. You feel the depth of a father's heartache, see the vivid landscapes before your very eyes, and hear the sounds of the battles as they unfold. Legend of the Sky Sword is masterfully created.

Honestly, to any and all fantasy lovers out there: If you are yet to dive into Kohanek's epic fantasy worlds - wait no longer! Trust me; you will not regret it!

Our old friends from Fate of Wizardoms are back in full swing in Fall of Wizardoms. Legend of the Sky Sword is Book 2 and I enjoyed it immensely. It has so many twists and turns. This is epic fantasy with several adventures happening simultaneously and multiple POVs. Poor Crusser, the lifelong soldier with a big heart, receives a grievous wound. I was so mad at his friends. They aren't very sympathetic and Narine's help only masks the problem. Her "method" brings comedy into a dire situation, but it's clever of her too. Then there's the tormented Kollin. He's an honorable wizard lord married to Priella, Queen of Pallanar. Their infant daughter is kidnapped and he must find her before it's too late. I'm looking forward to how things play out in Book 3, Curse of the Elf Queen.

I received an audiobook code from the author, which is a real treat because Travis Baldree is one of my favorite narrators. My review is voluntary.

Once again, Jeff doesn't disappoint. This is one of my all time favorite series ever. Jeff does a great job of creating new stories with characters that just draw you in instantly. There is plenty of snarky humor which is awesome as well as serious notes. Each story just gets better and better.
In this one there is so much going on. First of all Collin & Prella have their baby girl Coriella. Soon after her birth she is stolen. The rest of the group is off on their own journeys. Some are after a magical sword & some are helping the seers. As the story reveals Coriella's fate the tale explodes with action. I can't say enough good things about this series. A must read if you love Fantasy. Especially Sword & Sorcery.

Legend of the Sky Sword, Fall of Wizardoms book 2, picks up right where book 1 left off and is even better! Absolutely enjoyed watching the characters further develop, world building get more in depth, and the plot and storyline continue in expected and unexpected ways.
