A MC Friends-to-Lovers (With Brother's Bestie Elements), Soulmate Romance with Emotions that made me laugh & Cry numerous times, Lots of Steam with Slowburn, MC Roughness, Some Action & A Lovely HEA.
This was my 1st book by Mackenzy & Yup, I'll go for more! MC Romance is normally not my genre (though I like them in general) But I really loved Gunner+Lily & DEVOURED their book in 7hrs.
**Gunner has experienced Child abuse (Emotional & Sexual). Though it isn't graphic, It's mentioned a few times, so Trigger warning.**
Gunner; Sweetheart, Lovable, Playboy exterior with a Soft core; is part of the Bracken Ridge MC. After years of Abuse (😢), He & His sis Summer were finally saved & given a New start by Hutch (& other MC members). This MC is a family, but not many know their past.
Liliana "Lily"; Caring, Gentle, Sassy; is 23yr old & Steel's (Sergeant at Arms) Sister. She & Gunner (8yrs age gap) have been in eachother's life since Forever & fit so well. She'd always Crushed on Gunner & is still a virgin (obvious reasons😏).
They'd had this Explosive Almost-Sex night 5 yrs ago. He hadn't seen her in a few years then & She didn't tell him who she was when things escalated...But He Found out (by Brock😅 *Awkward!!*). So Nothing more Happened (Sadly).
Since then, Both keep eachother on this Untouchable Predestral, Just good friends. Now, She'd opened a Beauty Salon, Where Guns does piercing. He's also been doing Modelling work on side *HOT!*.
But when Guns finds that Lily still has feelings for him even after all these years, it causes a chain of events that change everything. Lily knows its Now or Never. Its time for them to finally take what they've always wanted or Move on for good. BUT, who the Fuck is targeting her Shop now?

Gunner's so freaking sweet & Such a good brother to Summer! As Days pass, He & Lily fall deeper in love. His Nightmares pained her (& Me), especially as he's not ready to open-up about his Past just yet. “Lily+Gunner” is a secret...Until it isn't! Now I get why he was so scared of Steel *Snicker*. But it was more Funny than Scary...😂. Fought & Settled, +Ladies are smart!
But What came a few days after was damn scary. When Lily was attacked in her shop!! Who? Why? How? God, I'm (& Everyone's) so glad that She was alright, Saved by a dog! For Gunner, This scare made him realize the depth of his feelings, Knowing it's time to tell her his past. He gets Support & Acceptance from her, that I knew he will *Happy tears*.

The Ending & The Epilogue were so heartwarming. I feel so happy for them!!
I love Lily's Friends so much! Deanna was a delight, pushing Lily to pursue Gunner. I hope we get Summer's book too & I'll surely check out Sienna+Steel's book! Crystal's Marriage was Fun *Wink*. I'm so excited for Brock & Angel's Story Next!

Gunner and Lily’s story was literally so beautiful, and in most ways it was so pure I was expecting a lot of angst which I didn’t really feel while reading it, instead I got a real story about a realistic relationship about a man in a Motorcycle Club romance who has complete respect for his woman (which most MC books lack so hard, even just behind closed doors) watching Gunner respect Lily is what made their love so real and enjoyable to read about.
Gunner had a rough start at life (trigger warning for child abuse, though in book it was very minor as far as gruesome details) he was abused as a child and then rescued by the MC along with his baby sister Summer (very hopeful that she’ll get a book or her own!) So obviously Gunner has trauma that he is working through and I appreciate the way his trauma was written with sensitivity and a realistic approach.
While Lily may have just started off as a girl with a crush, I loved watching her mature as a character, she was such a light and beautiful person who I loved reading about. The way she treated Gunner and never Allowed him to push her away was my favorite 🥺.
All and all I really loved this book and I can’t wait to read about the rest of the Characters! Angel and Brock are next and I’m excited 🔥😭!

I got Stuck in with this one. I was put through an emotional wringer. Gunner was a definite Yes for me. This author does not have cookie cutter characters. This book took me on an emotional adventure wich was frustrating, fun funny and Oh My Word so sad and soooo Good.

It feels like I've been waiting on Gunner for so long, and it was so worth it! I was thrilled to be back with the Bracken Ridge MC. The clueless (but sexy) gruff biker men and the independent women who only LET the men think run things were a joy to return to.
“With her everything feels foreign, everything comes alight in all the wrong sorts of ways. When I think of her, I know she’s the ray of sunshine that I can never have.”
Gunner, the the club's playboy, puts Lily Steelman on a pedestal he can never touch. His shame keeps him from letting people see the shadowed parts of him. Relationships aren't something he's ever wanted. Feisty Lily tempts him to change his mind. She's loved him since forever and can't seem to give up on him. Even if he did give in, she's a club sister and he's afraid to lose the only real family he's ever known.
“You make me feel like I’m the only woman in the entire universe, when you look at me like you do, I want to combust, when you touch me, I want to die.”
Gunner is a slow burn story, but it's sweet and steamy. I could see that Gunner and Lily are the perfect match. She is exactly what he needs and he is the only guy who will love her and still let her be herself. The epilogue is sure to pluck some heartstrings with the lovely ending. It made me so happy to see Gunner experience unconditional love.
I enjoyed the appearances of Steel and Sienna from the first book and am SO excited for Brock and Angel's book next.

Gunner is a pretty boy, a playboy, and a jokester. However, beyond these layers he carries demons and baggage from his past. His past has created the man he is today, a man he feels doesn't deserve a girl like Lily, a ray of sunshine who is pure and innocent, everything he feels he is not.
Lily is Steel's younger sister and I absolutely adored her. She was loveable, sweet, humorous, loyal, a little sassy, strong, and truly perfect for Gunner.
As I devoured this story my heart both ached and broke for Gunner, I got a little flushed, and I found myself smiling, laughing, swooning, holding my breath with anticipation, and yelling nnnooooo at Gunner on one occasion.

Lily has had a crush on Gunner for many years but as the younger sister of Steel she is off limits.

My heart broke for his past and I wanted go hug him every time it was brought up. My favorite thing about him is how he views Lily. She's his, but he understands she's her own person and wants her to thrive as her own person.
I love my psychopaths from dark romances, but it is so HOT when a man goes to therapy. Gunner won all the points when he recognized he needed help to process his childhood. My therapy king 🥰
I really liked Lily and enjoyed that she knows who she is as a woman. She is a successful business owner, a great friend, and a wonderful sister. She knows her worth and isn't going to let anyone tell her otherwise. Lily loves Gunner for who he is and doesn't view him as broken. She loves him so much and it was beautiful to see.

I really liked Lily and enjoyed that she knows who she is as a woman. She is a successful business owner, a great friend, and a wonderful sister. She knows her worth and isn't going to let anyone tell her otherwise. Lily loves Gunner for who he is and doesn't view him as broken. She loves him so much and it was beautiful to see.

I loved Gunner, there’s more to him than the playboy he portrays. I like that we get to see him vulnerable. Lily was a sweetheart and someone I’d like to be friends with.
This was a sweet slow burn romance. I can’t wait to read the next book and see who falls next.

Arc for honest review. . This is the second book in the Bracken Ridge Rebels MC series. Mackenzy Fox is a new author to me, but has quickly become one of my very favorites. I was invested in this amazing story as well as these wonderful characters from the start. I don’t even have the words to describe how invested I became in this book.
Gunner is a playboy jokester who has many layers to his character, one of the things I loved most throughout the story is seeing the different sides of him.
Lily has had a crush of Gunner for as long as she can remember. I loved their relationship slowly develop through the book.
This is such an emotional read, there were many times where I felt like I was on a rollercoaster, my emotions were literally all over the place. This is everything a great romance should be. It’s full of steamy moments, off-the-charts chemistry, wonderful characters, and it literally grabs onto you and doesn’t let go until the end.
Mackenzy Fox has created a world of characters you can’t help but love. I highly recommend this amazing book that exceeded all my expectations and can’t wait to see what comes next.

Having devoured "Steel," I had high hopes for Bracken Ridge 2 and happily, this MC beauty didn't disappoint. Lily and Gunner's story was deep, passionate, and intriguing: full of back-story demons and present-day angst... I absolutely adored the characters. The forbidden love and broody obsession theme had me wide-eyed until the wee hours, loathe to put my Kindle down until the gorgeous and emotional HEA. Dang, that sensitive stud G. is my kinda hero! Although a standalone, do yourselves
a service and start with Book One for the full Rebels experience.

Their relationship is forbidden for several reasons but eventually, they can no longer deny what they’re both feeling.
Gunner is book 2 of the Bracken Ridge Rebels series (all stand alones with HEA). I found this book to be very different than most other MC romance books that I’ve read, it was heartwarming and spicy and a perfect combination of misogynistic asshole bikers and sweet love and affection.

This series is like crack. I have raved and raved about the first book, Steel, until I'm sure people are tired of me. Now Gunner has gone and blew it out of the park!
Gunner is the cute boy we all grew up crushing on that made us feel hope without feeling hopeless. His backstory is tragic, and it makes him that much more complex. My heart was in a constant flutter throughout this book.

I’m a bit of an MC romance addict and I love finding lesser known authors. This book was great, a little bit MC light since there aren’t any club wars, etc. since the MC isn’t 1%ers. There is such a sense of family around the club and loads of funny, touching, and hot moments. Gunner is both a wickedly funny and sad character. Lily is pretty funny as well, though I wish she hadn’t taken years to assert herself more. The epilogue at the end had my tearing up quite a bit. I can’t wait for the third book about Brock and Angel to be released.

I was worried about reading Gunner’s story. I was not sure if I liked him so I read Steel 4 times before finally moving on to Gunner and Lily. WOW!!!! I’m officially in love with Gunner! His story is so heartbreaking. I laughed and I cried in equal parts. Mackenzy Fox writes stories that pull you in and you feel every emotion the characters are feeling

Even though this is a burly, rough MC trope... Gunner brings out all the feels. His character is pretty indepth, which makes the whole relationship with Lily one you don't want to stop reading about. Finished this in just a couple of hours, and couldn't put it down! Looking forward to the next!!

I loved the first book in the series, but Gunner and Lily’s book grabbed me harder.
The quintessential flirt meets his match in this book. I fell in love with Gunner in the last boom. His charisma stood out even if his reputation was less than stellar. The jokes and smiles he gave out hid a backstory that was heartbreaking.
Their road to happiness is bumpy because of his stubbornness to see that he is worthy of a woman like her. Lily may be the light at the end of his tunnel but her ride to happiness has its own twists.
Such a great series that I’m glad will continue. Too many secondary characters who need their stories told.
