I loved the story and it had a good ending from a mans point of view, Sire did all the right things from beginning to end to show the woman he loved where his heart was at and that he was down for the woman of his dreams. I Enjoyed it very much. Thank you
I really liked Sire! He was a smart man that never have second thoughts on any decisions he made. Although he ran a illegal business, he stayed out the way. Maia you could tell if she ever became a mother, she would be so good at it the way she protected her nephew when Sire came kidnap him. I also respect Sire because he wasn’t sleeping with a ton of women and knew what he wanted which in the end was Maia. When her life was put at risk, he left right away and turned his illegal business into one that was legal. Great read!
I love it when a hard man, finds a real one! I am looking forward to diving in Sire 2! But this story ended perfectly! This man never knew what he needed til he had it & she never knew she could ever have a man to love her unconditionally! Outstanding job!
I listened to this story, and this was the first time that I had ever listened to/ read any from this author. I found the story to be very engaging and entertaining. The main male character, Sire, the drug lord of his hood, wanted out but hadn't found a reason until he met Maya. A young woman trying to keep her head above water as she cared for her nephew dealt with his father, her wayward brother, who just happened to work for Sire. Things go wrong when dealing with drugs, guns, and greed. Placing Sire and Maya in a position where they fight for their freedom and lives. Again good story strong character, and great writing.
Kevin you did a great job of building Sire and Maia love. I love that the attraction was really instant for them, but it took them to long to explore it. Almost as if they really wasn’t sure. The drama is dope. The street life was dark but very realistic.
What happen to nephew? He disappeared after the romance starts. I love how their love grows to something unique, and special but the ending is rushed and messy. You don’t just drive away from the cartel unless they get blood or money.
I liked the book. Not particularly love. I'm not much a fan of novella though since there's hardly any character development and the storyline is so fast-paced. The storyline, overall, was strong. I think this would've done very well as a Novel: delving deeper into the minds and lives of the characters and looking closely at their individual stories and how they transitioned from one point to the the next. overall, great read.
This is my first time reading work from this author and I must say I enjoyed it. Maia and Sire were two different sides of a coin that manged to work in tandem. I would have liked to see the romance between the two unraveled a little more to really see their love through their eyes. But it was still a good read.
Not quite a slow burn but definitely loved the character building. Left me wanting more altho i do have a question. What happened to Chris? Wouldn't be disappointed if there was a followup
I’ve read many hood books but this one was more realistic. The different angles of the story build a picture that was clear to see. Sire, was a breath of fresh air.
A gentleman to the end upstanding outstanding but powerful in his own right meets a lady that engaged his mind enough to get out of the streets to rather be in the streets the characters were real until jealousy and greed came along
Sire finally found something to direct his attention to more than the streets. Andrea was supposed to be loyal but she let her feelings cloud her judgement. Maia made the right choice in loving Sire
Was interesting reading a book by a make author it was nice to look at the differences.
I feel like a lot of emotion and relationship building was missed and the bit about the growth on her ovary that was mentioned once then never discussed again I was lost on.
The ending felt rushed but I didn't mind it. Listened to the audiobook narrated by the author and that bumped it up a star. I love Sire and I love how he loved Mya. She reminds me of my mother even if the decision she made felt more like mine than her's. Good story with a good ending ♥️
Love is an unexpected gift we all state we’re not ready to settle down and what we want however God places people in place to provide a view of what we need.
I started listening to this on the Audio book on YouTube! I needed to really get into it. So, kindle it was. This is a great read. I loved the roller coaster ride...
What happened to the mentioned art the beginning of the book? They were plotting, but then were never mentioned again. Also, the story was moving along and s suddenly the was a rush ending.
