Note to self: the solution to a bad day can always be found in a delicious glass of pineapple paradise
After having the world’s worst day and quitting my job, it’s the only thing keeping me from completely losing my mind. Because drowning your sorrows in alcohol is the adult thing to do… right?
Well, tell that to the infuriatingly sexy man trying to get between me and the last pineapple in the store.
I was never one to give in without a fight, but when he offers free drinks at the nightclub he owns, I can’t refuse.
Some might say that’s a meet cute worthy of a first date, but memories of my toxic ex have me vowing to live that single life for the foreseeable future.
...Until I find myself agreeing to a platonic trial period. In eight weeks, I have to give Lawson a chance to sweep me off my feet. I blame the alcohol and those gorgeous blue eyes.
Will it be a match made in aisle five, or will I leave him pining for me?
This is an adult contemporary romance and is intended for readers 18 and up!
Willa and Lawson meet trying to get the last pineapple at the store. Willa has walls up because she’s been hurt in the past. Lawson is a patient and amazing man that agrees to be friends until she’s ready for more.
This was a wonderful read! If you’re looking for a fun read with a sassy FMC, you’re sure to find it in Willa. At the start, you would think quitting her job would have Willa down on her luck, but it’s really just a blessing in disguise. Willa is a girl determined to lemons and make lemonade or in this case, buy a pineapple and make a cocktail. Lawson is the perfect book boyfriend. This is very much a friends to lovers scenario and it’s perfectly executed. The couple is surrounded by an amazing cast of characters I found to be an utter delight. I hope in other Riley/James reads we encounter some of them again.
While I love a good dark read like many other readers, sometimes you need a little light. This book was just what I needed! Once Upon a Pineapple was just perfect. The storyline was sweet, perfectly steamy, and just a dash of drama to keep me interested. I'd be interested to see more into this world and all its characters!
This book was amazing. Willa and Lawson life changed when the both tried to grab the last pineapple. This book is funny sweet and good read. Once you pick it up you don't want to put it down.
I'm almost never read contemporary romance but when I read this blurb in a Facebook group, I had to give it a try. There aren't too many sweet reads out there but this one was done so well. I would definitely recommend this!
This was such a cute book! Lawson and Willa are amazing. This book was so light, funny, and sweet. From arguing over a pineapple to a life together. I loved the drama, the laughs, the cries, and of course the love.
If his is her first book then sign me up. You never know with pseudo names and different styles but it doesn’t matter this is warm, romantic with great characters and a wonderful happily ever after
Absolutely loved with book, it was the perfect blend of sweetness, sexiness and just a touch of drama. Willa and Lawson set the standard for a friends-to-lovers plot, where it all begins with a pineapple. Jarica makes you crave the sweetness of a Pineapple Paradise with a side of a sexy bar-owner.
I loved this book! It was so cute and it had me reading it in one swoop. I love how the characters found themselves in the book and the ending was perfect! I really hope to see more like this and maybe a story for Kat one day!
Oh my goodness who new pineapples would become my favorite. This book was amazing and I loved that it was funny snarky and grab your tissues you’ll need it.
Willa and Lawson’s story is definitely a must read! Willa is strong and straightforward and has just the right amount of sass. This book is just awesome!
Ok, so Willa might love pineapple's more than your average person, but come on, they're amazing and Lawson completely indulges her. Their relationship starts a bit guarded and rightfully so considering Willa's past, but Lawson is determined to prove not everyone wants something in return and so incredibly patient with showing her they're relationship means something to him. I think the best thing about their story is they both come with a past that has shaped them, her stubbornness and his patience, to be the perfect pair for each other.
