Ellen lives in a small town in New England, between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains. She lives with her husband, two sons, and one very spoiled puppy princess.
Ellen writes in the early morning hours before her family wakes up. When she's not writing, you can find her spending time with her family, gardening with her puppy and chickens, or headed to the beach. She loves summer and flip-flops, running on a dirt country road, and a sweet love song.
All of her stories are clean romances where families are close, neighbors are nosy, and the couples are destined for each other.

I love this story of two lost souls. Ryan & Amelia were two people that seem to fit. But they did, a cooperate lawyer & a struggling writer & fisherman to the family business. Can they make things work to get a HEA. Or will manipulating parties, lies, & lack of communication of their true feelings for one another keep them apart. Read the book, its wholesome, sweet, emotional & a HEA. What more could you want in a story.
Amelia has been climbing the corporate latter for her father's company forever. Thru the years she has always thought she loved her colleague William. One night when he got drunk he kissed her then said it was a mistake. The next day was the beginning of the wedding of her brother Ethan & Zoe she was a brides mate with no date. Zoe's family was quite large. Her cousin Ryan LeFluer was in a slum. Just 6 months earlier he had broken up with his fiancé when he caught her cheating. He couldn't believe it, he thought he would be married to the love of his life by now. Having his degree & continue to write best selling books. But after his father died. He had to go back, to the family business being a fisherman to help his brother Jules. But truth be told he was running away from his grief of his breakup, being a washed up author. Is his life only being a fisherman? Ryan didn't want to go to this wedding but he loved Zoe & it was family. Family comes first even when we don't feel like it. That is where he met Amelia Wentworth the younger sister of the groom. They hit it off that night. She wanted so much more. After meeting Ryan his creative juices started flowing & he had started writing again. He got the confidence to as her out to the art museum. It was romantic, ended with a success. They both knew they wanted more. But it seemed like obstacles got in the way. A driven lawyer now wanted Amelia & he would do anything to sabotage her relationship with Ryan. She realized what William was really like & she didn't like it. Putting down Ryan because he wasn't graduate like a rich, snob. Ryan also was given doubts that he wasn't good enough for this beautiful, successful woman. When she cancelled their date, he thought she was just being nice. Then William tried to make it sound like she wasn't interested in him. Then there was Amelia father, who chastised her for being distracted when all she has ever done was put her career & the family business first. Now she is being questions & William seem to look like he is the one doing the deals. But that isn't the case at all. When the merger finally goes thru the firm decided to celebrate & she asks Ryan to come to the city. Unfortunately, traffic delayed Ryan & when he arrives at the restaurant he witnesses William kissing her. Though Amelia didn't want it, she knew when she saw Ryan that things wouldn't be the same. Their miscommunications & what looked like a wanted pass. Now became a huge problem. William was going to sue Amelia for harassment. When she did nothing wrong. Then the chief officer of the company insisted she apologized to William she said No. She did nothing wrong. She decided after her Ethan & Zoe both said she needed to tell her father. He finally respected her, he believed her & knew she was ready for the company. Where does that leave Ryan, after talking to his mom he was going to fight for Amelia. He needed to go to Boston. Unfortunately they kept missing each other. But he saw William who was trying to blame the hold incident on Amelia. But Ryan knew the truth, see Ethan decided he should know what happened. SO he took matters in his own hands. He went to the restaurant & was able to get security footage of the incident in the lobby of the restaurant. I guess you will do anything for the woman you love. Especially if she might not have any backup. Ryan showed the footage to William, which meant he needed to apologize to Amelia & leave. Regardless to the events prior Ryan & Amelia finally met up after Ryan coming back from fishing. he couldn't believe she was their on the docks waiting for him. He wasn't going to waste a minute longer to tell her how much he loved her.
Ryan's book was a success on the best seller & making him money. He could hire his brother a 2nd for the business. Once his agent told him how great the book was he had a major book tour, interviews he had to do. This was okay, because Amelia had her business, merge & new location for Wentworth cooperation down in Portland, Maine. She was living with the love of her life, she was their supporting Ryan with the book, doing all legal matters with relationship to the tour, movie deals, etc. Now they just need to be married & live happier ever after.

"The Wedding at the Cove" by Ellen Joy is a captivating novel that had me hooked from the very first page. The story is set in a picturesque coastal town and weaves together romance, humor, and heartwarming moments in a way that kept me eagerly turning the pages. What stood out to me the most in this book was the subplot involving Amelia and Ryan. Their dynamic and chemistry added wonderful depth to the story, and I found myself completely invested in their journey. Amelia's spunky personality and Ryan's charming demeanor created a magnetic pull between them, making their scenes together some of my favorites in the book. While I loved how their story unfolded within the main narrative, I couldn't help but wish that they had their own full-length book. The glimpses we got into their lives and their evolving relationship left me wanting more, and I believe their story has the potential to be explored further in a standalone novel. Aside from Amelia and Ryan's subplot, the coastal town's overall setting added an extra layer of charm to the story. Ellen Joy's descriptive writing brought the town to life, making it feel like a place I could visit and fall in love with. The supporting characters also added depth and authenticity to the story, making it feel rich and immersive. The main plot, with its twists and turns, kept me engaged and guessing until the very end. The pacing was perfect, allowing the story to unfold naturally while keeping me invested in the characters' lives and relationships. In conclusion, "The Wedding at the Cove" is a delightful read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Although I wished for more of Amelia and Ryan's story, the book as a whole left me feeling satisfied and eager to read more from Ellen Joy. Her storytelling prowess shines through, making this book a must-have for any book lover's collection. Happy Reading...enjoy!
4:4 Stars: This is the first book I’ve read by this author. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised! I was hooked from page one, and never put it down until I finished.
The story had a good balance: a strong successful women lead who was anything but a pushover, a dishonest overly confident business interest, an unexpected good hearted man with a strong meddling family with a strong foundation, a good number of twists and turns, and the right amount of romance. I loved most of the characters, except the ones I wanted to occasionally pop in the nose!😊. I rooted for the good guys and rejoiced in their victories. The ending was a perfect happily ever after.
The writing flows smoothly, making it easy easy to read. The layout of the chapters and book were well thought out. It appears as if this author has been writing for many years as a bestseller.
I look forward to reading more of Ellen’s books in the near future. I believe that she is going to be very successful.
I received the book as a advanced review copy. I leave this review voluntarily and the opinions are solely my own.
Really cute story about Ethan's sister Amelia, and Ryan. He's a fisherman and an author and she runs Wentworth Hotels corporation. Coming from two different worlds they face a few challenges but with this being their love story you know love conquers all. I really enjoyed this one.
A wonderfully written story. It’s got lots of twists and turns. The bad is deceiving but the good was woven deeply. I loved the characters. Cleanly written and my HEA
