The frustration & worry caused by teams split in two was apparent in this installation. But they did well on their missions to assist in another part of the War to End the Regime. Lars took a group & went to Earth with the Hooligans to help John & Ivy defeat the Regime & end the misinformed idea that Talents aren't human.
Meanwhile, Steph stays with the Knight& her sister Tempe to help Meligorn during the Regime's attack. It's a great fight.
I'll be sorry to see this series go. Hope you plan on writing more on John & Ivy, Steph & her team and E & Math I as on Meligorn. Ill be happy with one of those! Thanks!
One of the things I really enjoy about this author style is the heroes are clearly bent on doing the right thing and unashamed of how they have to get it done they are clearly good clearly compassionate and give no quarter for evildoers but have forgiveness for those who change and kick major butt along the way this was a great book in this series I had read the whole witch of the federation series earlier in between other books written either by or in collaboration with this author and was so enjoyed to see these have come out I'll be starting the next one shortly
Anderle has outdone himself once again. I loved the Witch of the Federation, and this continued story in Heretic of the Federation is just as fabulous. As always you become so entangled with his textured, flamboyant characters and genius world building. I particularly love all the AI's in this series and the addition of the Lost.... I’m finding the reunions really emotional, as I too am now invested in Stephanie’s friends and family, and all they stand to sacrifice for peace. The battles are as actioned packed and complex as ever and I absolutely cannot wait for the final book!
The Hooligans, part of Stephanie's guards, Tethris and another mage, and John's group are busy with gathering intelligence and creating chaos for the regime.
Stephanie, One R&D, and a cast of thousands are defending Dreth and Meligor with a bunch of tricks up their sleeves.
The story has lots of action, humor, and is well worth the time to read it.
Easy read with highly predictable outcomes. This disjointed book has a minimal amount of detailing of the characters and their actions. This also has little character interactions to grow themselves in the readers mind as was the case the first series and beginnings of this series. The arc line is a continuous series of impossible odds, no plans, an instant miracle cure, and then onto other characters somewhere else.
This series just gets better and better! Its like eating potato chips, you can't stop with just one! After finishing one book you are franic to find the next one. And when you start the next book you are hoping that Stephanie and her people get to have their happy ending. Great story telling!!!!
The Witch of the Federation series was so good that I was afraid the Heretic series could only disappoint. WRONG. Now I'm looking forward to the final book and so sad to see the series end. For the most enjoyment you should start with the first book of either series. These are for those who like military space opera, magic, and good action stories.
Each book just gets better. I love the creativity in the situations the protagonist faces the solutions they come up with to counteract such negativity and their perspicacity as they deal with it. I love how well drawn the characters are yet
Relatable at the same time. It's nice to see science fiction space drama that has real edge involved in it.
I can't believe it's almost over! But I hope these characters get at least one more arc as, I believe there is a lot more for them (or their children) to do! In this book I liked that Steph, her team and the hooligans have a larger part To play. It was also awesome to see the earth remnant on Meligorn, especially E. from the previous series
Exciting update to the series as we enter the closing stages and for the space battles for the worlds to begin. A great look at those saved from Earth helps bring more reality to this and the reason for fighting helps each page we engross ourselves under.
Stephanie and her followers and allies continue their battles against the inhumanity of the Regime as its dehumanizing tactics and genocide attempts are on going. The battles are building I hope to the final climatic confrontation.
Steph is back but the Morgana needs to head to her home world to find help. Steph can now go so the talk to a War Witch who agrees to be the host. Once they are back she will return to Steph. The war with Earth rages on. What will the end be?
So many emotions! And so much action. The different threads are being woven, the story winding along the path in unexpected ways. Another excellent story within the series. Now to wait, not so patiently, for the next one to be released.
Interesting and fun story telling and characters. Magic. Technology. Clones. Asteroids. Lasers. A flying house with a message. Guess they should have listened.
What a fantastic ending. It took me a while to get going in this one about a quarter of the way through it before it got interesting. That was surprising to me, I expected more. But once it got going we were good.
I love the characters, the AI's, the ship's AI's . I'm a huge fan of all TKGU and I totally wish I didn't have to wait until May for the next one. Ad Aeternitarem
I read a lot of Mike's books. Other authors he writes with but The kutherian books and this series are my favorites. The plot follows the arc so well. I think Stephanie maybe as scarey as Bethany Anne. It's a excellent story.
I am bummed that there is only one book left in the series. I know it has to come to an end, but I still do not want it to end. That is is the beauty of Michael Anderle’s writing. I am already looking forward to my series.
This is a really good series and I am really enjoying it a lot. I like how this universe is coming together and look forward to future books in this universe. I recommend it.
Talk about crazy? There was a plot twist that I seriously didn't see coming. The war is about to heat up and they better pray that they can kill the witch because. ...She's Coming!
I absolutely loved this book and am looking forward to the next one. And since it's already bought and waiting for me I know I'm going to love it. But I don't want it to end so I'm hoping you have plans to keep it going like TKG at least I would love that
Stephanie is on the move. Having reunited with her family and friends on Dreth, she has managed to return to her new home on Meligorn. Meanwhile back on earth, Todd and the Hooligans are making life miserable for the Regime. A wild time and a good read.
Well the regime has started it And the war has gone from dredge to the Milagorn home world. Stephanie has sent her love Todd And the hooligans along with Lars To earth to fight with the resistance while she's dealing with space battles over planets what a mess
So many battles. Battles for Dreth. Battles for Meligorn. Mini-battles on earth. The Regime has been planning and producing for a long time. They have a lot of shocking secrets.
With Stephanie and her crew lost in a distant part of the galaxy, Earth's leaders attempt to eradicate Talent they haven't enslaved and aim to destroy other worlds that oppose them.
As the fighting intensifies on Meligorn, the Regime is caught in battles on Earth The resistance falls apart as some of the are injured. John, Ivy T,odd and the hooligans make life miserable for the forces of the Regime.
As always it's a joy to read these series by the author and I enjoy the fact that my kids can also read them as well. If your looking for good solid on going sagas I would recommend this author
Wayne is on our side! The virus to the cryo-storage unit had harsh consequences! Now we're protecting Meligorn and Dreth! And Earth side is having massive amounts of fun!
