descriptionThe cover on this one is OK. A bit boring.description

SIDE NOTE: A HUGE shout out goes to my friend Barb who was forced to listen to me bitch about this book the entire time I was reading it. Love you, my friend! *lol*

descriptionSo I actually wasn't planning on reading this one, but I read the sample and got sucked in and honestly stayed sucked in through the entire train wreck that was this book. Because of that, I have NO clue how to rate this...

description

The hero was a cheater, and we get a nice graphic scene of her walking in on him right at the start. But as the book goes on I did start to feel sorry for him. He never really has a good excuse. Just that he was a douche, but we see, or rather we are told (I wish the author had given us some pages devoted to his groveling and slowing winning her back) about how he changed and became a better man. The new improved and completely devoted hero is honestly a decent guy who has remained faithful and stood beside the heroine even when her family and friends have encouraged him to move on with his life. Because of that, I found the heroines attitude very off-putting and found myself frustrated and disliking her and her continued nasty remarks. Cheater or cheating is repeated 27 times, and this is a relatively short book. I get it. In her mind, it's really only been a year and she doesn't remember how he changed and won her back. But OMG I grew SOOOO tired of her throwing the fact he cheated in his face every other page. By the end I wanted him to give her bitchy ass the f@cking divorce, she kept whining about wanting and find himself someone new.

description

On top of that, we get a side romance calamity between the heroine's sister and one of their friends. An UBER manwhore that apparently wants nothing more out of life than slutting around #lifegoals and is unable to think with anything other than his penis. Seriously the characters in this book collectively had the brain power and moral compasses of a turnip! This is what heroine (remember she was CHEATED on herself) tells her sister to do. Even though she knows he is involved with someone, and he was JUST bragging about the threesome he had like two pages earlier in front of her sister...

“Then give him a reason to see you in a different way.” “What am I supposed to do? Just walk up and kiss him and see what happens?” “That’d be perfect. I was joking. “I’m not doing that.” “Why not? Ace is the kind of guy who would love something like that. It’s spontaneous. It’s sexy.” “He’s seeing someone.” Bree waved it off. “Whatever. She’s not serious. He’s having threesomes with her. She’s just a piece of ass.” “It’s still wrong.” “You’re overthinking it. You want him, go get him.”

description

Like I said this was an angst filled train wreck of a book yet I kept turning the pages because I just COULD NOT put this thing down. Of course it friggin ended on a cliffy. And of course like a crack whore jonesing for her next fix I will be stalking the author waiting for book two because dammit if I am not invested now.description

No thanks not safe. Hate when the heroine is celibate while the hero bangs whores not to mention he cheated on her.
To top it off, the dumbass doormat of a heroine sleeps with him a day after he cheats on her.

"400 First Kisses" by E. L. Todd

My Thoughts....

This new series by this author featuring Bree, Cypress, Amalie, Ace and Blade that will definitely keep your attention with there being so much going on in this romantic emotional dramatic story. You will have to keep up because the reader can get lost in the story as it unfolds. This was quite a shock for Bree when she finds out that she is married to this guy Cypress who had cheated on her. Now, you will have to pick up this well written story to see who this all happened. I found this story very well thought out with some well developed amazing characters that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next. Yes, you will see how Bree was cheated on by Cypress and what all he tried to do to make up for all his wrong. I could definitely understand Bree thought pattern as she was trying to deal with all of this situation that she found herself in. Then next part of the read moves on to the story of Amelia and Ace. Hopefully, there will be a story coming from all of that situation in the next reads. Yes, this one will end in a cliffhanger and we will have to get the next part "325 First Fights" to see more of how this story will turn out for each of these interesting characters.

Thank you to the author for the read.

I really didn't like this one...almost a DNF for me...heroine has same type of memory loss as Drew Barrymore in 50 First Dates. From the synopsis, I was expecting a hate to love romance....not a sad amnesia story with a possibly reformed bad boy H. Also, this is a serial, not a romance novel...story continues in next book...wouldn't have started it had I known.

Other complaints about this book:
If you're going to have an incompetent narrator, it has to be extremely well written to pull this off (think Calia Reed Unravel). This isn't that book.

Cheater H was completely unredeemed in my book.

H tricking h into having sex with him while she's still suffering amnesia (really shady...can she really consent? Should he have sex with her knowing she will a) not remember and b) hate him the following morning for the past cheating?)

Amnesiac h asks H how she originally forgave him for the cheating enough to marry him...He replies that he wore her down....and promises to wear her down again....is this a good enough reason for forgiveness? Shouldn't he have had to crawl through ground glass to get her back?

They're running a series of restaurants, but the group of them just pick a restaurant to show up at on a given day...restaurants magically run themselves successfully without a schedule.

The sister's storyline with the manwhore who doesn't want to date her but is willing to bang. It made me mad/sad that the author seemed to think her value as somewhat less in the dating pool because she had two kidlets...I don't see why she had to settle for being a manwhore's booty call.

For those wondering, the hero did cheat. But he more than makes up for it. People make mistakes and he proved that he is loyal to the heroine in every way that counts. As far as heroes go, Cypress is one of the best out there. So just incase cheating is a hard limit for you, look past it because it’s not as bad as it sounds.

If anything, the book is slow. If you aren’t one for books with slow moving plots, then this probably won’t be one for you. I happen to be okay with those every now and again. The characters are what sealed me to the story. While this is mainly about Cypress and Bree. We also get the story of Amelia, who is the sister of Bree, and their friends Ace and Blade.

I most definitely want to read the rest of the books to see where their stories end!

Right. OK. Here goes...

Let me begin by saying yes, this book does start out with the hero cheating. I am SO against cheating in books and can honestly say I've never let any amount of decent writing convince me that the Cheater was actually a decent human being.
BUT, once you get into this story a little, you actually do feel like he's not a bad a guy and you DO forgive him a little because he really does go waay above and beyond to redeem himself

This review is going to get a little spoilery now...

Going in I thought this would be a funny love story. But actually it was emotional and a little heartbreaking and caused my heart and my head so much confusion!

I DESPISE cheating and everytime Bree threw it in Cyprus' face, I should have fist pumped and cheered you go girl! But actually I just felt so sorry for the guy. I just wanted her to stop being such a bitch and the fact that she would say nasty things to him was a little hypocritical. Because repeatedly telling somebody they're basically worthless (after they spent 2 years looking after you and having the love of their life not recognise them)...that doesn't exactly make you a saint and getting cheated on doesn't really justify you being a nasty person. ESPECIALLY when you know what they did for you over the last few years. There was a serious case of exceptional circumstances with this!

It all just confused the hell out of me. I hated her and not him but it should have been the other way around! what the hell?!?

The swapping from person to person thing. .honestly it just took away some of the impact and feels of the story for me. I was getting invested in Cyprus and Bree, hoping things would work out then all of a sudden I'm reading about Bree's sister banging her friend.
Shouldn't they be two different books?

And finally, about that. I FLIPPING HATE HALF A STORY! Especially when I don't know that's the plan when I begin. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for the next book to find out what happens next (because however all over the place this book was, it atleast got one thing right and I am curious to find out what happens!) Then apparently there will be another book after that IN JANUARY 2018.

I'm not cool with that.

I thought this was a really interesting book.
This review contains spoilers, I'd advise going in blind.
It has a main couple's story but also their friends, 6 people in total. Each chapter is labelled as whose POV it is but it does change to a different character from time to time.

The prologue shows the main Hero cheating, he's caught in the act.
Chapter 1 starts 3 years later.

Spoilers.

The main couple are now married only she has had a brain injury and she resets her memory each day to just after he cheated.
He has remained loyal to her and faithful even though there is no guarantee she will ever recover.
He does amazing stuff caring for her, that she doesn't even know about.

The only thing she does recover and I felt this seemed unlikely not that I am an expert.

So the series deals with them trying to see if they can make it work or not.

Most people won't like this book because the hero, Cypress cheated. I will admit I was a little put off by that fact but if you actually keep an open mind you will actually end up liking Cypress. I actually liked him more than his heroine, Bree. The reviews keep saying that Cypress is a cheater as if he does this throughout the book. That is not true. It appears that they stopped reading after the first scene
the first time Cypress and Bree are together, he cheats and they break up. they were apart for a while and then he realized he made a mistake and worked to get her back. there is no indication that he cheated after they got back together. As a matter of fact friends and family point to the fact over and over again how much he changed and how great a guy he is now. Because of her isses, Bree does not trust him. If you can keep an open mind and get past the first scene, I think you will actually like the story. without giving away too much, in my opinion, Cypress changed for the better. I am anxious to know what happens next.
I wish the author had concentrated on Bree and Cypress. We have dual story with the sister and friend that would make a pretty good book on its own. I have to split my anxiety between too couples!
the story is not action packed or fast paced but it keep me reading late into the night. I can't wait until the next book comes out.

Hate Amnesia themed books, got so bored with 50 first dates too. He cheated he apologized and has spent plenty of time trying to make up for it. She constantly admitted how good looking he is, has the best ever sex but still hates him, so over hearing about that. Life is too short, I say get a life and move on him, build something with him but no we have to constantly hear her down him, yada yada yada. DNF big time. Expected so much more from this excellent author.

ugh... The first chapter was painful and my heart broke for Bree . Then I was completely confused and it felt like Groundhog day and I didn't know what the heck was going on. Add to that a parallel storyline on the heroine's sister and her unrequited love for another manwhore, Ace you're a bastard!
It felt as though I had missed a previous book. Is this a continuation of another story? I've never forgiven a cheater in any of the books I've read but Cypress is slowly chipping away at my frozen unforgiving heart with his desperation and grovelling. Bree is so angry and unforgiving and I kind of love her for it. I need book 2 & 3 ASAP!!

The title should have given the impression that this was going to be like 50 First Dates, but i sadly didn’t pick up on that at first. It took me about 2 chapters to get into realizing this and then it all made sense. What we have here is a story that actually breaks my heart. We have Bree – our main character who we come to learn was hit by a car about 18 months prior and every day resets for her. She’s not able to remember anything that happens from the day prior and iit’s the same thing everyday, although some days are good and some are not.

She has the love and support of her sister Amelia, her friends Blade and Ace (great names huh?) and her sexy neighbor Cypress – who we quickly learn is her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her and…..her husband. It’s a dynamic that’s more painful than you can imagine for sooo many different reasons.

Every day, when Bree sees him, all she remembers is the day that she walked in on him cheating on her. What she doesn’t remember is how he fought to win her back and how he succeeded and they had the kind of love you only read about or see in movies. They were happy and then the accident happened and they weren’t. Cypress on the other hand is SO devoted to her that he moved next store, suffers through the replay of every day because he’s beyond in love with her. he needs her in order to survive and it makes you really want to love him.

When Bree falls and hits her head, things change in an instant. She’s able to remember past one day – she’s able to reengage with the world and she’s able to get her life back. the problem though is that even with her friends and family telling her how happy she was in her marriage, she can’t get past her last memory. She doesn’t remember at all that he won her back and that he’s a changed man, and it seems like it’s a losing battle. We spend the entirety of this book watching him do his best work to get another shot with her.

There’s also as secondary story in here – with Amelia at the center. She’s Bree’s sister, she’s divorced and she has two young girls. She’s also got a crush on Ace that’s making their friendship complicated. We watch these two dance around each other, we watch Ace truly be the amazing guy that we want for her, and for her girls, but we also watch him tell her that he’s not ready to settle down. So it’s really a roller coaster of small wins and big losses with them.

Where we net out in the end of this fist book is a place where we have no answers. We don’t know which couples will be together and we don’t know the factors that will get them to a better place all around. It’s so sad to watch since there’s more struggle than moments of happiness in this one. I can’t wait to see what the next installment brings for us.

*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*

A new excellent series from this author, but the next book is coming soon so don't despair because it's a cliffhanger.

At first I thought; what kind of start is this on a story, but then it hit me; that's why❗️....... and I was lost in the story. I love it so much, and it's not just a story about Bree and Cypress but Amalie, Ace and Blade too, friends and family always.

I can't say to much because I spoil it, but Cypress is one determined man with only one goal and that's to get his wife back. Bree is not making it easy for him.

The storyline is great and the writing style is easy and filled with feelings so I get in to the story with ease and I feel like I'm with them on this journey.

One thing I love about this story is the parallel stories going on that are equally exiting and emotional.

No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and lots of dialogues makes me very happy when I read.

I'm having trouble taking breaks when I read some books and this is one of them.

Some really hot scenes and a lot of very sweet ones makes this a very emotional story.

5 shiny stars ✨ from me and I'm looking forward to the next book.

I really really love this very unique story. Bree and Cypress were dating, he betrays her they break up. Flash forward to 4 years later. Bree wakes up one morning, finds out Cypress is her new neighbor. To her the breakup is fresh, to him its been 4 years. You see, Bree had an accident with brain injury and is stuck on the same day over and over. Think Groundhog Day vs. 50:first dates. Cypress is now a changed man devoted and persistent in making Bree fall in love with him all over again. He is my favorite character in this book, and a guy who grovels for years? I’m totally down with that. And Bree? She’s a woman scorned x 1000. Give him a break would you please? I know how she acts isn’t her fault but I’m team Cypress all the way. There are side stories also, about Bree’s sister and their two friends/ business partners which are also compelling. And FYI- This is a trilogy so story is not concluded. 4 stars.

Normally I can’t take books with cheating in it. And if the story had started before the cheating I still might not have been able to take it. But this starts with the cheating.

This was a unique story. A bit like 50 first dates, and I love that movie. But you can really feel the frustration more in this book. It got to the point where I just didn’t care about the cheating anymore. The guy had clearly paid for it and I just wanted him to get his HEA.

This had duel stories going on and it was from multiple POV’s but the main story was definitely between Cypress and Bria.

I think I would have given this 5 stars if there has been more progress by the end of the book. But I just didn’t think Bria and Cypress were any closer to their HEA than they were in the beginning. Too bad she couldn’t have started to remember things on one of her good days.

I have to say I went in totally blind, I didn't even read the synopsis. I didn't pick up what it was going to be about from the title or even from the strap line

I hate this man
Why did I marry him?

As with EL Todd's other work, whilst we get the two main characters there is side stories with the other characters that are connected to the two main people, in this case they are sisters.

Bree wakes up and sort of relieves the same day, she gets a new neighbour every day, who we actually learn is her ex-boyfriend, things didn't end well for them as a couple.

Over the first few chapters we get to understand a little of what both Bree and Cypress are going through, certainly had a lot of De Ja Vu going on, great idea for a story though.

I thought Cypress was a lovely man, after he had learnt the error of his ways, and he had more than earned his place beside Bree.

Amelia, Bree's sister, Blade & Ace Bree's business partners, although on the periphery really did have very important roles to play, and they did a fantastic job.

Hard to begin to imagine, how to deal with someone who has a severe case of Amnesia, and we find out in a similar fashion to Bree, that she is in fact married to her neighbour.

Bree was quite a stubborn lady, and I felt that although she is still bitter about catching her man with somebody else I think she will hopefully follow her own heart. She's living the same chapter every day, remembering the one thing that hurt her badly.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Amelia & Ace, they seem to be really good with each other and for each other.

Looking forward to reading 325 First Fights, and am wondering if its a continuation of Bree and Cypress or it it focuses on Amelia & Ace, but we hopefully continue to see the progress of Bree and Cypress.

Honest review written in return for an Arc version of this book.

A beautiful read❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cypress cheated on Bree, she cought him and broke up with him...
Next two years he spent regretting and looking after Bree..
Her friends were amazing ♥️

Her sister Amelia sucks🤮she told Bree to brea up with Cypress...then when her husband left, Bree lost her memory, Cypress was the one stick to Bree and looking after Amelia and her two daughters..
Amelia made a pass on Cypress to have Sex with him😬
Bree walked on him getting Birthday blow job from his Ex🥶
Bree had a backbone 👏👏👏👏 she broke up with him... never forgot and let him forget what he did to her...

Cypress was the only Hero who made amends for his cheating for years, he really loved Bree and stick by her side in Health and Sickness...👏👏👏👏

The man I hate lives next door.He must have just moved in, even though I never saw the moving truck. He's just as arrogant as I remember, mowing the lawn without a shirt and grinning like an idiot. When he catches me staring at him through the window, he winks. So cocky. He flirts with me like he never broke my heart. And then he tells me something I just can't believe. We're married.
An absolutely fantastic read with brilliant characters. I loved how cypress was with bree. Can't wait for next part. 5*. E L Todd review team.

This book was confusing at first but then you get grabbed in. The h has amnesia like Drew in 50 first dates. It was actually interesting. But then I got bored. This is very slow. And I'm very low in patience and attention. So I just dropped it.
I would definitely suggest this book if you like slow romance. And yes this has a cheating hero. But it was years ago. And he is completely reformed and a gentleman now. But unfortunately the h has that distant memory stacked in her head as she wakes up everyday thinking that he has cheated her recently. And then she keeps on insulting him.

I saw this on a marriage in crisis list, where the H was celibate while h had amnesia and didn’t remember her being married to him, only thing she remembered about him was her breaking up with him a year or so prior them reuniting again (I think it’s been 3 years after the H cheated on her, and a year and half of them being married, but for the h it’s only been a year since the H cheated and the last time she saw him was when she shut the door on his ass and left him), after he cheated on her with his ex (yes, this is not safe), so I thought “why not?”

Then I got curious if this was a stand-alone or not, after I was past 50% of the book, cause it’s obviously a slow burn pace, so I looked up and it’s a trilogy… I was still on board cause, while I know the H was unfaithful (fuck him for that), I still kept thinking “hmm maybe there can be an epic double redemption (seeing how every character keeps telling us he’s basically “perfect” on every single chapter) since he obviously groveled hard for the h AND her family and friends”… but then I (accidentally) read the first review of the second book, and it said that what was revealed at the end was disappointing…

Tbh, I thought he had left the ow (his ex) pregnant, so I immediately was gonna ditch the book, but then I thought “maybe I’m wrong, and I’m gonna dnf a book, that is interesting, for nothing but me thinking the worst after the shit luck I’ve been having with a lot of books this year”; so I kept reading, but I still couldn’t help but think “what was so wrong with the ending of the second book that there has to be a third one for the H and h to finally be together?”

So, I went and found what went down (yes I spoiled the books for myself), and the h’s older sister kissed the H on the time period the h didn’t remember anything… idk if the H kissed her back (I think i read somewhere he did not), but this ruined everything for me, NOT because the h’s sister kissed him, I can get past that cause idc as long as it’s not serious and she didn’t developed any feelings for him, and can be something the h can handle… the latter is the biggest issue for me and this book… imo, asking the h to get past the H cheating on her and accepting him cause he was such a great guy (a great guy the h didn’t technically experience cause of her amnesia) is A LOT to ask, and this “advice” coming from her family and friends makes it harder since we, as the audience (me specifically), hadn’t seen him grovel the first time after the cheating, I only know he has because the other characters can’t stop talking about it.

Anyways, I don’t like when MFCs are asked or pressured into doing something they don’t feel or want to do, and this is happening a lot, and this pressure coming from the h’s sister, after she was all on board for the H to move on cause the h was “a ghost” and he “deserved to be happy” (her words), combined with the fact that she kissed the H, is what ruins it for me, cause I can’t help but think (even if idk if I’m wrong or not, these are just my feelings) that she did care for the H more than just him being her sister’s husband and her brother in law/her family, and the fact that the H had more hope for the h (her sister) to get better than she did, and treated her more like a human being with feelings than she did, is icky to me.

I would’ve kinda gotten past this, h’s sister being a potential ow drama, if she had been honest immediately when she opened up about her husband leaving her for a teenager, and why she wanna fill this void with another man, so much she went for her sister’s, the h’s, husband. But then I wonder how deep the connection must have been for the H and the h’s sister for her to just go for it and kiss him without caring her sister being sick and the H being the only one hopeful for her to get better.

Idk if I’m gonna finish the books some other time, but this unfortunately leaves me with a bittersweet taste (bitter because of the h’s sister and her carelessness for the h, and sweet because I hope the H did not kiss her back and he did not show any type of encouragement prior the h’s sister kissing him event). What I’m truly mad about is this whole pressure they’re putting on the h, especially the h’s sister after what she did, seeing the h will not only have to get past the cheating, the blame and guilt she obviously feels for forgetting (even if it’s not her fault), but now this…

When I read the description of this book I was extremely excited and couldn’t wait to get into the story. Needless to say this story isn’t how I thought it would be. It starts off with Bree setting up a birthday party for her boyfriend, Cypress who she’s completely into. She decides to stop by his house only to find him having sex with his ex. I loved the way Bree reacted to seeing this...she wasn’t weak, she confronted them and went about her business. I just knew I was going to like her, but I was wrong.

The story continues and I learned that Bree has memory loss which by the way became annoying hearing the same conversations taking place over and over. Cypress is her next door neighbor, at first I was thinking he’s such an ass but later you realize he’s a sweet and caring man who really loves Bree. The last thing she remembers is Cypress cheating on her...she doesn’t realize she forgave him and they are married and he was the perfect husband to her(even with her memory loss and her treating him like crap). At first I completely got why she wouldn’t want to be bothered and deal with him. But once her sister, Amalie and her best friends Ace and Blade told her everything I felt she should have been willing to try and work things out with Cypress instead of demanding for a divorce. That’s basically how the relationship between Bree and Cypress went throughout the book...him wanting to be with her and make the marriage work and her being hell bent against it. 🙄 She only wants to sleep with him because he’s so hot and the chemistry is intense...don’t you just love fiction😊

The next character is Amalie, Bree’s sister. She has been dealing with a lot...her husband, Evan has left her for a younger woman, okay, things happen but did I mention her left his two little girls too and doesn’t have anything to do with them...yeah he’s that type of bastard. This is when you realize what a great man Cypress is, he has stepped up and helped with his nieces and sister in law. Later it’s revealed that Amalie has the hots for Ace. And of course he’s perfect and you just want to rip off your panties...god I love fiction.😍 These two hook up and Bree is all for it. Now this was my wtf moment...Bree can’t forgive Cypress for cheating but wants Ace and Amalie to be together...wtf? Let me explain, Ace is a whore and loves the single life. He confessed he loves sleeping with anyone he wants...he has been “seeing” a woman and was bragging about having a threesome and yes the entire group of friends knew about this. Do you get it now...Bree is crazy because for someone who hates cheaters, she had no problem telling her sister to seduce Ace even though he has a lady friend...wtf right? Anyway. After one night Amalie thinks her and Ace are together...like really how old are you? Until his Lady shows up at the bar all the friends were hanging out at. Of course it’s an awkward scene and then it’s revealed that they have slept together. Ace let’s Amalie know he doesn’t want a relationship and isn’t ready to be a step father, even though his actions prove to be different. Amalie keeps a dumb smile on her face saying she completely gets it etc.

Blade is our final friend, to be honest I’m not sure what his purpose was in the book...yes he played peace maker between Cypress and Ace (because Cypress was pissed Ace slept with Amalie) I do believe Blade had two chapters told from him POV, I couldn’t get into it because I didn’t care for the male narrators voice (hey I never said I wasn’t shallow) He didn’t have a love interest and I wasn’t sure if the author was trying to give us the impression that Blade was bisexual...I say this because he made several comments about Cypress and Ace being sexy with hot bodies and then he would check out women too. It was confusing, it would have been nice to know and get to know him. Love is love.

This story is a part of a series and I will not be reading the other two books. I’m not invested in the characters and not interested in how their lives play out. I do take my hat off to the author, writing a book is hard work and creating a world and characters is time consuming. I did like the aspect of the friendships and how they loved and supported one another.

OMG!! I FLOVE THIS BOOK!

The concept is very intriguing. The characters are amazing. I was confused at first and went back to the first chapter thinking I had missed something but it became clear as I keep reading what was going on and then I was truly hooked.

I LOVE all the men in this book not just the main character Cypress, although I think he’s my favorite. Cypress and Bree were dating for three months, until he royally screwed up. After their breakup, he dedicated his time to winning her back. The level of dedication, commitment and overall determination that he has in getting Bree back is overwhelming. I wish I had a man as devoted to redeeming himself and fighting for his woman as Cypress is. Bree can seem frustrating at times in not wanting to give Cypress another chance but when you read it you will understand that to her the betrayal is fresh and she’s processing it as a recent event. And I can understand her point of view because it would be hard for me to trust again after what he did.

I normally don’t like cheaters and you would have to do some heavy duty groveling and begging, etc. for me to believe it, but I must say, Cypress did an amazing job redeeming himself, one of the best redeemers I’ve seen in a long time. He’s so in love with her which makes me love him all the more. He’s not only hot, but he’s loving caring responsible and so patient with Bree, even though there’s no guarantee that she will ever regain her memory. Thats true love.

The story of Ace and Amelia is just as good as the 2 main characters. Amelia is a single mom of 2 adorable girls and Ace is a bonafide player who’s only interested in playing the field. They have history which makes is hard for Ace to commit to Amelia. The reason he gives Bree for not getting together with her sister, Amelia, is so touching and it show the depth of his feelings. I don’t want to spoil it because the story really is very good.

This may well be one of my favories of this year, it’s full of angst and drama that will leaving you wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
