What an explosive, addictive read! Evie Ellis really knows how to create romance with an air of mystery when she wrote Twisted Fate! Lily Harper, fresh out of university is sought after as the most outstanding student of her class and for a more personal liaison with Ben. I can say Ben has many disguises and after sharing a heated kiss the first time they met, Lily feels the chemistry that enfolds both of them! She has a bit of a dubious past, but so does everyone in Twisted Fate, that includes her ex Henry and a mysterious stalker. There is an ever present pervading sense of danger that makes you grip your seat or always questioning the motives of the characters even when everything is going well. I loved the determined way Ben goes after what he wants most in life and that is to marry Lily. He knows her fully and we get a clear impression that with his great influence of a billionaire, he will stop at nothing to make her his wife! On the other hand, Lily is not the naive, infatuated heroine who will fall instantly for anyone who pays her a bit of flattery, she she has many suitors who vie for her attention. This is where Ben has his work cut out for him and he does not give up, letting her know his intentions and his love whenever she is doubtful. Twisted Fate is worth every star I have awarded, a cast of characters with whom you will become obsessed and a book you would not want to miss! I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read the continuation of Ben and Lily's lives in Twisted Past!

Literally have no idea what I read - I did finish it though. A lot happened, but there were no explanations for why things happened and there is a secret that the MMC keeps mentioning but doesn't explain it at all. The obsession he had for her seems out of place - there was no context given at all. As much as I want to read the next one, I would be disappointed if I walked away with no answers.

Was it a bad read? No. Was it a good read? No.
First, the amount of errors in this book was frustrating. An editor really needs to get on top of it.
Secondly, I read A LOT of smut, but this book was very off putting. Lily realistically in this book has 3 stalkers, there’s a s*xual assault, and Bens character is really in the cusp of domestic violence. The book felt like a bit of a slow burn too. By the time I got to the end, I did want to find out what happens next, but I’m in no real rush after just having read the first instalment.
I also thought at one point that the book perhaps had a male author. Ben wasn’t really written as possessive in the hot way us smut readers like, he just came across as straight out possessive. And the way womens genitals were described was also a bit off putting.
It wasn’t a very sexy read, it wasn’t a light fun read, it wasn’t a book that you just couldn’t put down. It was basically a book of every woman’s worst nightmare and fear, but regular men were replaced with rich ones.

I thought this was a good read as it had interesting movemnet thoughout the story and I was able to read it from the very beginning to the very end.

I thought the character built up was really good and I enjoyed all of them and this is my opinion.

I thought the story telling was very good as I was reading and this is my opinion.

Persistent

XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. Ben is nothing of not persistent. The story eluded to his pursuit to being closer to two years not two months. So was it him not Henry that blindfolded Lily? Lily is not a gold digger but she is naive. The original proposal should have turned her off the person who made it. Especially after she took the last proposal. So there is also the fact they both know they have secrets, but one has a bigger secret.

This was an enjoyable and gripping read. Having read the prequel, I was surprised by where the story went, however there is obviously much more to come, with two further books in the series. The heat between the main characters was fantastic. I’m looking forward to discovering more of the secrets yet to be disclosed as the trilogy progresses.

Loved the start of this series the storyline is entertaining and well written. The characters are engaging and have great connection that it helped keep the flow smoothly throughout the pages.
